Visited this lovely spa for a 60 min massage, followed by 60 min facial and was not disappointed! Upon entering I was given an ice cold washcloth for face & hands then upon entering room, was over the top with a 5 min foot bath/scrub to start the service Massage was perfect in touch and facial was top notch with ever so light fingers and hands. Highly recommend Marival and this beautiful spa off of Norte 5th Av while in Playacar. To end the treatment, was provided with a cold glass of lime & ginger water with a cocoa ball. Review for "Rekindle ritual for couples" $195 USD Solid 4 stars Came here during Christmas holiday 2022 with my wife. We were staying at the hotel attached to this spa and I felt lucky to have found out that this spa was supposed to be the top spa in PDC. So my expectations were high prior to arriving to this spa. I felt super lucky to have gotten same day appointment (it was unfortunately rainy so our beach plan was ruined), Jackie the manager picked up the phone and has insisted on paying in full prior to booking- I understood since this was the same day booking. She directed me to pay online via their website. Upon arrival we were the only people there at the time and the spa felt small but relaxing. I really liked their rustic decor that reflected the Mayan culture. We had a welcome towel for our hands and some delicious cold tea. We started the "ritual" by getting our feet bathed, followed by body scrub by deliciously smelling tropical fresh fruit smoothie. It felt good and refreshing but my masseuse did not rub my whole body like my back or my legs. Maybe it wasn't meant to be a whole body scrub. We then were given time to rinse off, then the massage started. The massage was really relaxing, I liked their trippy music as well it made me feel like I was in a jungle. Next thing you know, you are done and you were treated with glasses of wine and some chocolate. Jacqui offered us more if we wanted it, which felt very generous. She was also very friendly and personable. Maybe we were spoiled by the magic massages we received while we were in Bali, but this wasn't the best massage we have received. However, it was still great. The reasons I deducted 1 star is because of the fact that someone's phone had gone off during our massage outside of our massage room which woke me up- the reason is that the walls didn't feel very sound proof- you can hear the receptionist talking to other clients booking massages on the phone. Also for the reason that my body scrub felt a little rushed- other than that, this was a great experience and maybe it is the best you can get in PDC- I have yet to find out if this is true during my next visit! Overall, I will definitely return next time I'm back in PDC if I'm staying in the same area! read more

I was a massage therapist, and I've been getting massage on a weekly basis for 50 years, all over the world, and from start to finish, this is by far one of the best! AND their prices are very reasonable. The environment is very clean and attractive. You never need to be concerned about the regimen of their massage practice. You are covered well, the table is very comfortable, as is the face plate, and the temperature in the room. All their messeuses are more than massage therapists; you can feel from their touch that they are truly connected with such a caring touch to their client. Marbella was my messeuse. I had a Swedish massage and head massage with oil. Relaxed doesn't really explain my experience! I live two blocks away, and I was wondering how I was going to get home! Incredibly gifted! Tammy, Jacqui's assistant was on staff today. What a lovely, welcoming, friendly person she is! I look forward to returning soon! read more

Wow! Simply wonderful. I'm a massage therapist who owns a massage business in a busy tourist destination so once again I turned to YELP to help me find the right spa appointment for my discerning taste. Bric Spa was wonderful. The owner Jackie was efficient and communicative using online booking and email. The spa accommodated four of us at once for the 90 min Mayan Herbal massage. The therapists were all great, ambiance was relaxing and the after massage tea and truffle were a nice surprise. The massage began with a ritual foot wash, something I've never had. We then got on the table and enjoyed a combination massage and Herbal poultice treatment. Apologies, I cannot remember my therapists name but if you refer to this review Jackie will know who it is. She was great! Completely knocked me out and soothed my nervous system, very hard to do! The massage technique was Swedish and very effective, she did everything right. Do not hesitate to choose Bric Spa for a relaxing oasis off the busy shopping corridor of Playa. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! read more

I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon here and had the place all to myself. Maga (sp?); a lovely Polish-National who has adopted Latin America as her second home, was a joy and excellent at her craft. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together. I did the Pamper Package with Cacao/Coffee scrub and deep tissue massage and Refresh Facial. All were excellent. I'd go back again to be sure. read more

We did a couple's massage here (Hot Stones Massage) for 90 minutes at $65/person. The place was relaxing from the second we walked in. They were great about email communication (Jacqueline) and were very accommodating. The aromatherapy was also very soothing. I don't get a lot of massages but they made me feel very comfortable and kept asking me if the pressure was okay or if the water was too hot so I appreciated that they were checking in. It was an incredibly relaxing and pleasant experience. I would do it all over again. I highly recommend this place! The resort massages in Playa tend to be way overpriced but this was a high quality affordable massage. They also take credit cards which was very convenient! It was one of the best massages we experienced with shirodhara head massage and facials. We were received with a detoxing drink at the beginning at the end. We got our services with Sofia, Nadia, Joanne and Merta. They were very sweet and accommodated our customization requests. This was the only 5/5 experience of our short 5 day trip. Me and my girlfriend got an hour long deep tissue massage, but were pampered for almost 2 hours! We were greeted moments after we arrived by the friendly manager and then the two masseuses. We were given a freshly scented and cool towel to wipe our faces with, after a hot and humid walk across the city. We walked upstairs and were given a robe and slippers to change into. It would probably be better to change in the room with the lounge chairs than the small bathroom. Upon entering the air conditioned room where we would receive the massages, the masseuses scrubbed our feet before we lied down on the tables. After asking what we would like them to focus on, the provided an incredibly thorough and competent deep tissue massage and were sure to ask us several times throughout the process whether the pressure was suitable. Essential oils were rubbed on our bodies and through our hair providing a beautifully relaxing aromatic experience. Despite all the time spent on us before and after the massage, we got an honest hour of massage. We were in the same room together, on two tables with two masseuses. After, we were lead back to a room to relax and readjust to the cruel world outside of the massage table and given a sweet and a glass of cucumber and mint water to refresh.
