I've had a lot of massages, all over the world....most masseuses know my traps are the problem but idk what the masseuse here felt that others didn't, but she really got in there without it being super painful and focused on the whole area. I was the most relaxed I think I've ever felt in my shoulders. I just wish I was local so I could go back again and again because for $100? It was more than worth it. I started seeing Emily after being cleared following my C-section. Everything hurt. My body was out of alignment, my wrists were inflamed, and I was carrying so much tension. Holding my baby was difficult and painful. I don't normally get bodywork, but I made a commitment to taking care of myself so I could be the best version for my child. I walked out of my first session feeling lighter, stronger, more grounded, and like my body had gotten a facelift. Her work is deep and intense, and there can be some short-term discomfort, but it has been worth it. Emily communicates clearly throughout the treatment and creates such a calm, zen experience. I especially appreciate that she makes space for consent throughout the process and allows me to be an active participant in my care. Just as I was reaching the end of my massage package, I broke my foot. I continued treatment with Emily to support my recovery alongside physical therapy. I had nerve overstimulation and rebound pain after surgery and she was able to re-regulate me. Being able to bring my baby and nanny with me has also been such a wonderful experience. Come to find out, our masseurs were legally blind and we didn't know until after our massages.
