They advertise as movers but can do lots of other stuff. I got them to hang 2 IKEA lack shelves which have a reputation of being a hassle to put up. They arrived on time, got the shelves up quickly with no mess or disruption and everything went off without a hitch. The 2 men who did the job were super friendly and courteous and even helped me carry a treadmill inside from the garage (too heavy for me) before they left for the day. Unfortunately, this move was very disappointing, especially considering how happy I was with them the first time. The biggest issue was the wardrobe boxes. The move included two wardrobe boxes, and I had also specifically requested a third one because I had a lot of clothing and other items that needed to be moved carefully. However, about three hours into the move, the movers told me that they had not brought any wardrobe boxes at all. I had to leave the move, drive to Home Depot myself, and purchase boxes so we could continue. I ended up spending approximately $120 out of pocket for boxes that should have been provided as part of the service. This was particularly frustrating because the request had been made in advance and the boxes were part of what was agreed upon. The move was initially quoted at 5 hours but ended up taking 7 hours, I had to pay $400 more. Part of the delay was because the movers did not bring the proper tools to disassemble some of the furniture, despite the fact that I had sent pictures beforehand. They had to borrow my tools, which I didn't mind, but they left them all over the place. The travel time was also much longer than expected. The two locations are approximately a 30-minute drive apart, but it took them about 1 hour and 23 minutes to get to the new location. This contributed to the additional labour time and cost, meaning I ultimately paid for two extra hours. At the new place, the furniture was not properly unwrapped or set up. Much of it was simply left wrapped in the protective film, scattered the garbage in the rooms. I understand that moving can be unpredictable and that not every move will go perfectly. However, given my excellent experience with Ninja Movers in 2019, I specifically chose them again because I trusted their service. This time, I ended up paying approximately $120 for boxes that should have been provided, paying for two additional hours of labour, and dealing with several issues that could have been avoided with better preparation. It's unfortunate because I genuinely wanted to have the same positive experience I had in 2019, but this move fell well short of that standard.

They called me ahead of time to ask if they can deliver earlier than schedule and they were simply super respectful and cheery on the phone - which is the kind of calls you want to get early morning :-). It's not very frequent that you come across people delivering products who seem to enjoy what they do. They delivered a sectional sofa and they were very careful to navigate the pieces to ensure they don't damage anything. They asked politely if they can wash their hands as they rather not dirty the sofa. I think their names are Tim and Lucas if I remember correctly. Disappointed with this service. I had several shelves/ mirrors/ pictures put on the wall by the…read morecompany. The floating shelves in the washroom were hung flimsy and became unsafe- the nails popped out within a couple of weeks. The shelves are decorative with no weight on them at all. I called the company back and asked for a follow up visit. When Arthur came the second time, I showed him that the nails were easily coming out of the walls in all three shelves. His reply was that this was fine and as long as there is no weight on the them, the nails will hold the shelves on the wall. I informed him that since this was the children's washroom, I was concerned that the shelves will fall and injure one of them. With that, Arthur immediately rehung the shelves with sturdy and safe hardware. Overall, I found the service unfriendly and expensive for the lack of quality it offers.

The movers were happy - easy to load the boxes onto their truck. Packing and unpacking was easy - no construction of boxes, no tape required and no boxes to get rid of after the move. The 2 sizes of boxes allowed for packing of heavy items (books, cans) in the smaller ones and less heavy items in the larger ones. The handles made the boxes easy to move around. You never realize how annoying all the flattening, taping, folding and disposal is because there has not been a reliable alternative, until now. The boxes are a perfect size and they are stackable. We also used them for the move, and it was a dream. The boxes were light enough for all to carry, stacked well, and saved us TONS of space during the unpacking. We like companies like this, everyone wins when they succeed and 1% of the proceeds go to Frog Habitats!
