They give you a low quote and then put your belongings on a truck and raise the price and will hold your belongings hostage until you pay. They do not use an actual company truck. They show up in u-hauls. Probably easier to keep people they ripped offs furniture. They do not care about damaging furniture or property. The owner is extremely rude and resorts to bullying and intimidation.

I asked the lead whether they got the tip, to my surprise, he said "no"...so I tipped them...and inquire about the tipping policy...another surprise...the company responded...the tip goes to movers and office staff?????? A mandatory tip going to office staff!?!?!? My thinking is, do these mandatory tips goes toward the hourly rate for the movers? Hope not, but it is for sure something I would be very wary of...

They worked quickly with zero time wasted, and also took 2 pieces of furniture to my parents place in good time! Ahmed and his partner arrived a few minutes early which was very helpful and they worked efficiently and were very careful when handling my furniture and boxes and other items like lamps. Moving between condos means having only so much elevator time and they completed the move within the time allotted. This is truly a company that cares and is always willing to help.I had a problem with opening a couple of drawers in one of my dressers - it's an older solid wood one - and I contacted Pari at the office and asked she knew of anyone who might be able to help. She responded immediately and sent someone over to check it out the very next day. Ahmed came and examined and studied the dresser and worked until he finally figured out the problem. The problem seemed to be a result of the extra humidity in my new place which caused the wood to expand just enough to cause a issue. After Ahmed's help, the drawers now open and shut as they should. A lot of companies might just feel that once the move was complete their job was done but Great Toronto Movers went above and beyond the call of duty to help. And I should mention the pricing. Red Carpet Service!…read more A new job, a death in the family AND MOVING! Three of the most stressful life events. I was very stressed up until my move day. As a single person, packing and preparing to move was a lot of work. I also didn't know how the move-in at the new apartment would work, with one small elevator that could not go on service. Nick is very good at his job. We spoke several times after the initial on-site quote. He assured me that my move would be fine and that Victoria Movers was there to take that stress away from me. They guys were amazing. Some of the furniture didn't fit in the elevator at the new apartment. Luckily I only moved to the third floor. They somehow made it seem effortless to maneuver large pieces of furniture around corners and tight stairwells. Nick even went of his way and showed up on move day to make sure everything was under control. In the end, the move was faster than anticipated, traffic was very light and the drive time between apartments was shorter than expected. I used Victoria movers on the recommendation of a friend, who had used them twice. I didn't even quote with any other company. I'll use them again, but hopefully I'll stay in my new location for several years! Thank you Nick and crew for all your hard work!
