The springs Best Overhead Door replaced lasted 11 years. Broke one yesterday. Called them up, They scheduled for today between 11-1. Roy arrived just shortly after 11 AM. I did receive a text alert he was on his way, which was cool. 30 or so minutes later, Roy had both spring replaced, adjusted the limits on my garage door opener and was on his way. The technician came out as promised. Was done in 30 minutes. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I apologize I can not remember his name but very very happy with his work. Would recommend this company. One thing...the spring broke on a sat. Their ad says 24-7 service. Emergency service. But when I called I was told it would be double the service call if they came out on weekend. My son looked at it and asked me to cancel the appointment, that he could fix it himself. When I called to cancel, I loved that they were concerned about my son doing it since he had no experience. My son did fix it and when I call back to let them know it was fixed the were appreciative that I let them know. Roy came I thought bob was the guy I was talking to on Sunday made an appointment for 11 to 1PM and he came I asked about bob he said that he was retired he told me that he was going to charge me 248 for the garage door which sounded about right then after looking at the garage door he said he can fix it so I ask how much it was and he said it would be 148 so I said go ahead thinking it was alot worse than it was he put 2 or 3 screws and adjusted it being retired we live on a fix income and bob was a straight up guy all ways made me feel like family I hav never wrote a review before this will be looking for another company read more

This experience started off great. The fella that I initially spoke with was pleasant and professional. We set an appointment, I didn't have to be there, it was perfect. The work was completed on time he left the cliker in the agreed upon spot, again perfect. The trouble came just after. A different fella, older than the first, double charged my credit card. And left a rude message on my voicemail. When I called him back he accused me of "playing games"... Turned out to be a misunderstanding with the other persons paying the other half of the bills credit card. A security feature because of the amount of the charge. Easy fix. Our garage door finally gave up last month after 20 years, and my car was stucked inside. I went to yelp and looked for several garage door company's, and reading the reviews. Finally, i decided to go for Best Overhead Doors because they are open 24 hours and i needed my garage fix right away. I called them and a guy named Roy answered, he was very kind on the phone. It was late afternoon on a Sunday when i called so he gave me an appt. the next day (Monday). He was on time when he arrived the next day, and very polite explaining to us what happened and he said our garage door needs to be replaced. So by Friday, we had a new garage door installed. The installer by the named of Nick was on time, very nice and worked fast, cleaned, organized and gave us tips on how to take care of the new garage door. Overall, we are pleased with the service and happy with our new smart garage door opener. I would recommend them to my family and friends. They have reasonable price too. Do not use this company they will rip you off. I have used them in the past and they were wonderful but my latest experience was bad. First of all the tech came out and identified the problem and said we would try to find a part and be back on Tuesday. He never showed up. We call the office and he came out saying all of his trucks were broken down. He then came on Saturday and fixed the issue. He originally told me that the repair was $98.00. He charged me $198.00. He said the extra $100.00 was for the part. The part online costs $14.83. I called the office to complain but was told that their policy is to charge $100.00 for the part. On a SUNDAY morning they were here within about an hour after we called. The gentleman, Sam, was quick and courteous and had the 2 broken springs replaced and made additional adjustments to the door as well. Our garage door popped a spring one cold morning, and with my daughter about to give birth, it was the worst time to have our cars trapped in the garage. After waiting a couple of hours for Home Depot to get back to us, I called this company, explained the situation and the gentleman (the owner) immediately said he put us at the top of the list. Joseph was there within an hour. He delivered expert garage door service, polite, excellent customer service, the price for replacing both springs was pretty standard and reasonable. Called Best Overhead back in Oct 2013. Wife inform me that the garage doesn't open and had no way of lifting the garage. So I ran out into the garage in my PJ to open the door. If I wasn't home she wouldn't been able to lift it because it was pretty heavy. The next Day Dennis came early morning 7ish or early 8am. I left the side door to the garage unlock incase he came early and sure enough as I was leaving he was already half way through. Told him " when done lock her up". That evening garage open nice, smooth and quieter. Price is very reasonable and can't beat the 10 year warranty. Dennis is a very hard working man and know his stuff. read more

I called Best Overhead Doors because we had them fix our garage door back in 2012 and they did a great job. I was able to set up an appointment for today and Sam came out and fixed the door, he was very nice and explained why the door broke, what he did to fix it and how to avoid it happening again. Called this company out to inspect why my garage door wasn't opening fully. Roy adjusted a motion sensor. I asked about some cracked hinges that I had found during an inspection that I routinely perform. He stated to me that he did not have the same type of hinges for my door, and the ones he did have would work just as well. ($15 each x3= $45). Not realizing I could have purchased the same hinges at Home Depot for about $6 ea. Plus $68 service call. (I told him the office stated the service call was $48). So he agreed to the $48. After his work was done, I noticed that the door was flexing (bending) when it was being raised and lowered.(which it didn't do before). He told me that I needed to have a strut installed in the middle of the door to eliminate that problem. And it would cost a hundred and something dollars more to install the strut. I told him not at this time. $93 later.... and now I had a different problem to deal with. Sorry, but this company is not synonymous to it's name. I called another company & they replaced all the hinges as well as installed new nylon rollers. Now my garage door opens and closes smoothly and is very quiet..... without installing a strut. No bending or flexing at all. read more

Discovered our garage door opener had stripped its gears, called about 11:30 on a Friday and was told they could have a technician out between noon and 2. The technician, Harry, arrived at 12:05 and let me know we did not need a new garage door opener and that they would just replace the stripped gears and worn parts - Great news! They also checked the entire system out, including the sensors (eyes) as I had mentioned to Harry that the door had been acting up and not closing well - sure enough there was a bad sensor and they replaced both sensors (eyes) with newer, updated versions. Door now works great and is quieter to boot. Their price was very reasonable and Harry even reprogrammed a couple of old remotes to work with this door. Highly recommend this company!! read more

I had a new garage door installed by what I thought was an old and trusted company. Boy was I wrong! When problems with the installation were brought to this companies attention I was blown off. I was told the garage floor was not level and it is, the door was not properly hung resulting in a 2 inch gap at one end. The old door fit perfectly, and now after I released the spring tension the door fits perfect too! When photos of the door were sent to the company they assumed the customer was a clown, big big mistake. I have personally built more homes than the twit they sent to install a door will ever see in his entire life. This sit will require a 1 star rating, but honestly, if the clown they sent to install the door was doing is for s h i t, he would not get a f a r t. read more
