I'm not sure how they have good reviews because I left here with completely destroyed lashes. I went for a lash lift and I swear the girl who did them..it must have been her first day. She was fumbling around, didn't even secure my bottom lashes, and I left with burnt lashes. They were a mess going in different directions and looked like hair that was put under a flame and burned. It took me so long to get them healthy again, I tried every product to make them look even semi-normal. I was truly traumatized. The place did not look clean or professionally set up either. Obviously I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone or go back.

It was my first semi permanent experience. I was unsure, indecisive, totally didn't know what I wanted/needed. Luckily with Joy she was patient, artistic, listened. I did ombre that time. Life changing! No more bad eyebrows when you're in a rush. I couldn't be happier^^ As time goes by my pretty worry free eyebrows faded away.I chosed to do combination brows this time ( techniques combined with microblading and microshading. BEST of the two worlds! Hooray! ) My touch up appointment was scheduled for March ,right about the time covid-19 appeared. Joy notified me that her studio would be closed but extended the touch up deadline till situation permitted. I got my touched up done right after she reopened. She gave me a beautiful glow for my big day and everyone was complimenting me on it. She was very helpful, detail oriented and professional. I was pretty nervous about getting a spray tan because I didn't want to look orange, and she came up with the perfect shade for me, and I was comfortable with letting her do her thing. The airbrush is a little cold, but she warned me first, so I was ready! She contoured my face, and applied the spray tan evenly. The spray tan took about 15 minutes, and lasted a couple of days before I noticed some parts fading on my skin. I did see some of the color in the water when I showered after 24 hours, but didn't notice any loss of color on my skin. Definitely book an appointment Beauty Mark for your spray tan, and try to get Nina! She is amazing :) P.S. Booking online is really easy, but you need to provide your credit card information. You can cancel 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.

My first lashes appointment was with Fernanda and they looked great, but they all fell out when I went on vacation and my face was assaulted by the wind and salt water of the Pacific - I also didn't know you have to wash them to prevent oily buildup, so yeah. I came back two weeks later with literally no extensions left and had to pay for a full set all over again rather than a touch-up. I do wish they had told me about needing to wash them, because I really wasn't provided with the full aftercare instructions the first time I got them. But, now I know. They sell a special foam wash and gentle applicator for the soap here, which I recommend purchasing. My second session was with Viktoriia, who is absolutely incredible. Mynx & Inks is definitely out of the way if you live in DC, but it's worth it for the fair pricing and amazing quality.

I noticed my lashes kept breaking so I stopped going. Now I go to Sen Lashes. Not only is Sen Lashes super gentle on my lashes but the owner is super sweet and accommodating.
