Based on word of a friend, I hired Best Shutters Direct to rework the blinds in my house at the start of the year. It was a great decision! I worked with Jordan throughout the whole process. He was very knowledgeable (it blew my mind all of the info there is to know about blinds... lol). He was also very intuitive; I can tell he has been in many different homes with various décor. Everything he suggested fit our interiors so* well, I didn't even need to spend anytime on Pinterest. They were pretty good about working with my budget, although a LOT of work goes into installing blinds and shades. I felt like I knew what I was paying for and that's always a secure feeling. Never felt taken advantage of. This business is also family-owned, which is a big plus for us. Jordan worked with us through the free consultation, decision-making process, oversaw the installation crew, and then follow ups. Always nice, professional and sometimes funny. Installation was pretty quick, and our house looked exactly the same other than the update (clean--like no one had been there). I can't recommend them higher. After reading such great things about Jordan I called for an estimate. Jordan was fab! He recommended a wider shutter than we had in the past & also recommended some splits that we hadn't thought of, he also recommended a Roman shade for our bathroom. I did research and got 3 other bids but ultimately went with Jordan & Best Shutters because of the quality and how much we liked Jordan & his suggestions. We've had the blinds 2 yrs now & could not be happier! They are amazing! Love even the little things like the bigger, stronger magnets. What a great experience and a great product. They came out took all the measurements had plenty of samples to choose from both for the shutters we got as well as shades for the entire house. They delivered when they said they would they were on time and very responsive any time I called. They made it really easy to do business. Russell who came out first was also back for the installations which was impressive. Susan in the office was very helpful and friendly. Pretty frustrated in trying to deal with this business. On July 26th I called for an appointment. After being told they were all booked up, I was asked to email some pictures of what I currently have (and was trying to match). In response to the email with the pictures, I was sent an estimate which looked pretty good. On the 29th I emailed requesting an in-home appointment to see the product before ordering. On the 30th I received a response email addressed to someone by a different name. On 8/1 I sent my corrected name and address, once again requesting an appointment. The response I received said "I'll check our schedule and get back to you." On 8/3 (9 days after my initial request) I called to make an appointment. That appointment was scheduled for this morning at 9am. I made special arrangements to be home at that time, but no one arrived. At 9:40am I received a phone call regarding my upcoming 11am appointment that they needed to reschedule. I said forget it. Apparently my $2000ish job was not big enough for their full attention. read more
