Don't buy. Their blinds will break and their team is impossible to reach for help. I spent $3000 for 3 blinds that broke after 1 year

Do not use JDX Blinds to install your shutters. During the first meeting JDX manager was friendly and polite. He was very informative. We discussed each window position, type, and swing. The shutter in the bathroom was discussed in great detail. All three of us agreed on a left swing to avoid interance with the closet door opening swing. But when the order came in it was a right swing and there were some incorrect measurements. They said their invoice showed a right swing and correct measurements. They weren't willing to correct any the issues. We had to continue contacting them before they came back out to finish the job. The frame on one of the shutters came in from the factory with a crack and was installed. The installer claimed that it was repaired at the factory and there was not anything they could do about it. They wouldn't address this issue at all. They were friendly and courteous up until you paid them. Once they received a payment, their attitude changed dramatically from a friendly positive and caring helpful nature to an uncaring nature and they weren't willing to agree to making things right weather it was the mistakes from the factory, the management, or the employees. They are unethical and once they have your money, you might as well not exist any longer. They were issues with long timelines, incorrect installations, and poor customer service. Specifically, some damage to floors and window sills during installations. Nails sticking out where there shouldn't be. We had experienced delays in waiting to be scheduled for installations and difficulty getting issues resolved. Save yourself the time and money. I am going to do my best to spread the word about how bad JDX Blinds are to do business with. So many bad experiences working with this company. I honestly don't know how they are still in business. I have worked with several contractors with a variety of quality/professionalism. Hands down this has been my worst experience. read more

I've used JDX blinds on two different occasions and both times they have been prompt, polite & professional. The most recent time they even made a couple of repairs on my existing shutters free of charge. Blinds & shutters are not cheap in general, but JDX's rates are much more competitive than their peers from the quotes I've compared them to, and the quality is top notch. Do NOT use this company for your shutters. We ordered the largest slat sized shutters and a smaller size was installed. When they were installing the shutters, I asked the guys if they were sure they were the correct slat sized shutters and they assured me they were. They forgot to order our half bath shutter so I sent them the window measurements and they ordered the 1/2 bath shutters off the original invoice. Shortly after the installation of our shutters, I had two major back to back surgeries and was immobile and pretty much out of touch with reality for 7 months. After one of my surgeries, the 1/2 bath shutter came in and was installed. After my recovery from my surgeries, when I would walk down the hall and see the smaller window, I wondered why the shutters looked so different. I thought that because it was a smaller window, the slats just looked larger. One day, it hit me that the slats were actually larger! I contacted JDX the next day and they told me that because it had been a year, nothing would be done, they were "used" shutters. I feel compelled to mention that the "used" shutters in my home are rarely opened or touched unless they are being dusted. JDX offered me an Amazon gift card to compensate me for THEIR obvious ordering mistake. I have pictures of the shutters we were shown and ORDERED when the salesman came out. I have an INVOICE that clearly states we ordered the almost 5 inch wide slats for our shutters. All I want is the correct shutters that we ordered AND PAID for, installed in our home and they refuse to do that. This is bad, bad business practice. As a small business owner myself, if I ever made a mistake, I made sure I corrected it at my expense and compensated my client to make sure they were happy. I cannot stress enough to not do business with this company. They are unethical and once they have your money, you might as well not exist any longer. Poor customer service, very painful service after you pay. They don't stick to their words. It's been over months I have been following up with them to fix the installation but they are so irresponsible. It is family owned and they just play ball game throwing from one end to another. The quality of the blinds and curtains are great. However, please note that if you choose light grey patio curtains they may come darker/have more of a purple tint than you would expect. The customer service has been subpar. For our first appointment, the team was 45 minutes late, and getting in timely contact with the right people was difficult. The second appointment (of 3) was supposed to be scheduled for the week after, but after 2 weeks there was no contact from them. After texting them twice, it appeared they forgot about this second appointment and that we were missing 1 window blind because the one they brought us earlier turned out to be broken. Going about our day-to-day while missing this blind for a couple weeks was quite an inconvenience for us, so it was disappointing to discover they completely dropped the ball on this until we had to proactively reach out a couple times. The actual service during the blinds installation was also great. Unfortunately, I would highly recommend their products, but not this whole experience so far. read more

We recently decided to replace all the default blinds our builder installed and ended up going with JDX Blinds off of a friend's recommendation. The experience from beginning to end was just amazing. The process begins with you setting up a consultation in which they'll come to your home with samples and show you potential options and ideas. There's a huge variety to pick from, and ultimately they assemble for you a final quote. We went with plantation shutters for our front room and shades for the rest of the house. The shades came in approximately a month after the consultation period (they had to order from overseas) and the plantation shutters approximately 2 months from the consultation. There is a bit of wait that comes with the process, but we really weren't in any rush and we're overall just thrilled with the process. They were incredibly communicative throughout the entire experience and really had us feeling confident in their ability to deliver. Would certainly work with them again for any projects down the line! read more

We have used and recommended JDX in the past, but the most recent experience that we've had is one of the worst. The sales part was a good process, but installation is the worst and customer service is left to be desired. This company is Korean owned and ran. If you are not Korean, the installers will talk and scream in their native language and use the language barrier as the reason they are unprofessional. Being that I myself speak another language and of another Asian decent, they are still racist against you. JDX felt even more comfortable to yell and scream at my husband who is Caucasian. The employee that they sent to install was so disrespectful that he thought it was appropriate to throw around their tools and ladder on our newly renovated home and almost century old hardwood floors. The installers left huge gaps and holes all over our home. The valance trim and clips used were all wrong. One of the door had the wrong valance trim installed and the holder to keep it in place was missing. So if you have any concerns with what you've ordered and you happen to not be Korean...be prepared to be yelled and screamed at. My husband and I finally told the installers to leave our home. As of today, we have yet to hear from anyone in JDX to apologize. And we have yet to see anyone to even attempt to fix the issues that they have caused. We will never use or recommend JDX to anyone. read more
