I came to Triton determined to break cycles. I would've been the first person in my family to earn a degree. I worked my way down to just four classes away from finishing. Four classes from changing everything. But instead of support, Triton gave me roadblocks, mixed-up advising, and endless financial strain. I'm a full-time single mom. I work, I take care of my child, and I go without to make this education happen. I already live with food insecurity, already wonder how I'm going to pay bills and still make sure my kid eats. Every dollar and every hour matters. And still, Triton acts like none of that matters. Their advising system is a complete failure. You can ask three different staff members the same question and get three different answers. When you follow their guidance and it turns out to be wrong, the blame falls on you. Their mistakes become your bill -- extra classes, extra books, extra tuition. Time and money I couldn't afford to lose, gone, because they can't give consistent answers. They love to brag about resources and "access." But in reality, access here means limited hours, endless red tape, and confusing processes that make you feel trapped. When you ask for help, you get brushed off. Push harder, and you're treated like you're the problem. Meanwhile, the college has every system in place to protect themselves but none to protect the students. It's like Triton profits off students' confusion and desperation. They trap you into paying for classes you shouldn't need, charge you for their own mistakes, and leave you holding the blame. I've already skipped meals to pay for gas to get to class. I've already sacrificed sleep and time with my child to study. And still, Triton found a way to take more. On top of tuition and fees, I had to purchase the tools necessary for my program -- tools that should've been provided by a place of instruction. I spent money I didn't have just to participate in my own classes. Only after I submitted a formal complaint did Triton finally supply tools for students to use on site. That's not support -- that's neglect. And it proves that unless students speak up and fight, Triton won't take action. The stress this school has caused me isn't just about education -- it's about survival. I was so close to finishing, so close to being the first degree earner in my family, and Triton made it feel impossible. That's something I'll never forgive: they don't just block progress, they crush hope. And yet, I need to be clear -- not everyone at Triton is part of the problem. The only reason I haven't given up completely is because of Lena Musa and Kenneth Davis. They are the only two people in my program who treated me like my education and my life mattered. They gave real answers, real guidance, and real respect. Without them, Triton would've broken me completely. Triton College needs to stop selling slogans and start owning up to their failures. Students deserve support, not punishment. We deserve guidance, not confusion. We deserve a system that helps us succeed instead of one that bleeds us dry. Until that happens, Triton is not a place for you -- it's a place that will leave you broke, blamed, and broken.

I did very well on my exams and feel confident that I will do well on the state board exam. It's a waste of time to learn from two different books and get two different exams that do not always correlate to each other. Other issue I had with this school is if you didn't make a payment on time you will get kicked out of class till you're up to par with your payments, making you miss hours you will have to make up paying $35/hr you miss. they messed up my tax form and sent me a revised one the following day after I did my taxes. They make unfair deals with the students all the time regarding tests. then they make you it take one EXIT exam but two exit exams just to take your nclex and neither are accounted for a grade. If you do not pass the exit even though your grade is passing in the class you will have to retake the whole semester. I sat in Chicago campus one weekend to make up hours and the teacher talked about her life for the first hour of the class and when she started reading through the book she would always drift off topic and talk about something irrelevant. I will never recommend anyone to this school. Anyone who has a "positive" review on this is actually making a false review. they deleted my old review I had on her months ago. but anyone who has went to this school will always tell you it's not good and the school should Be shut down.

I do not know why there are so many who've had bad experiences, I can only speak to my own. Yes, ONCE I did wait on hold for a long time, but mostly I was on hold for only a few minutes. The nursing classes are offered by Chamberlain, the non-nursing classes are offered by DeVry. In both cases, the content was appropriate and challenging, yet not hard to manage. I originally graduated with an ADN 27 years ago from a state university. There was no problem getting my transcripts. I received numerous phone calls from advisors and was offered guidance for my path to the BSN. I have, and will continue to recommend the RN-BSN program to others. I am not saying that those who've written poor reviews are being dishonest, however, I believe that their's was the exception, not the standard. I am saddened that their FNP program is not accepted by NYS, or I'd be taking that as well.

My nearby clinic told me that it was insane when I asked if they could do three immunizations at once because my advisor would add weekly pressure on me thanks to a system called Complio. When I would try to reason with him, he would bully me questioning my intelligence pretending the phone lost signal for about five seconds which I assumed was to curse me out in his office without me hearing about it. I would get off the phone with him everytime he called just about in tears. It got so bad I had to switch advisors. About a year and a half later I call again to select classes. Now keep in mind that at their advising office, anyone can pick up the phone . He picks it up gives his little advising speech and then goes "am I speaking to Nolan?" I said yes you are and I was told that I'd have no further contact with you please transfer me to someone else. Which he does so but he had such a venomous anger when he said my name but still transferred the call albeit reluctantly. Chamberlain story 2, one semester I needed to hand out study guides for a course because our professor simply just didn't want to teach. He began the semester by acting as pathetic as he could be with a hang dog expression on his face telling the class "to help you to help me to help you." He went into some story about how the university is watching him closely this semester because all of his students from the previous semester failed by a technicality. The school was very limited in the study guides it would supply and professors were not allowed to deviate from the slides to provide a real world example. Any question on how the topic at hand applied to the outside world was met with pauses, blank stares and even some filler answers like "as your book says..." So, to help him help us I took the initiative to print out study guides on the concepts from Ed helper .com while this professor habitually went out for coffee at a nearby Starbucks dismissing the class 30 minutes early. Chamberlain Story 3 I hit a rough patch early on in the program, I started working at a hospital and lost two patients in the same week. I started having difficulty focusing in class and as a result my grades in a class started to plummet not significantly but just enough to warrant the schools early intervention from the department head. When I told him of the two traumatic losses he goes. "Well why don't you treat your class like a patient and try to save it instead of focusing on your trauma." Which isn't really something you say to someone. This was followed up with "Well I think what you are truly lacking here is resilience..." and I just remember leaving that conference call feeling worse than I went in. Chamberlain final story, I had a Professor who would openly belittle us when we didn't pass a test as my last course at this school. He would say things like "tsk tsk shameful." Or "What do you have to say for yourself?" Every time. Any complaint made would go out the window because the campus president was good friends with this professor. After having this happen for so long, I decided I could no longer take the abuse from this particular professor and withdrew the course finding out later that I was dismissed. I tried reinstating and their process involved an E meeting with several professors none of which I had before. They decided that I wasn't "serious" enough about my courses or that they felt I didn't have a strong study plan. The decision was unanimous that I was finished there. A couple days later, my advisor called me telling me to try to appeal to the campus president. I did this. Days went by while waiting. Finally on June 22nd 2022 I learned my fate that I was permanently dismissed. My advisor set me up to fail. Worst still, June 22nd was just one day before my birthday. I asked for no contact about one year afterwards when they sent me a patronizing email about sign up for classes now. I called them asked if they meant to send the email and they said well...no actually the ban still stands. I asked why they sent it and the phone representative very nonchalantly answered "I dunno." And that brings us to today the email from a third party on behalf of chamberlain to my current school's email. Since I left they've been on occasion harassing me and I honestly feel that I have parted ways with them. They are like a parasite to me that only bites when it needs nourishment and resides in the back always present biting down just enough to let you know that it's still there neither growing nor shriveling but still latching on no matter what. I hope this going public with my mistreatment is enough to get them to stop.

They made everything easy to understand and straight to the point. Shorty after reviewing, i took the nclex 3 wks later and passed. They were very helpful and supportive!! As a student at this hell-hole, I not only found out why this school gets bad reviews from former students and graduates, but realized how poor of an education I received. The good reviews here are paid people hired by the campus to give it good ratings and paint a rosy picture of what a mess this school is. Just to be concise here are the main reasons: 1. All the homeworks and study guides given do not help with the tests or exams given. 2. The teachers are so disorganized and when we point out why we don't do well at their exams we are blamed for not studying and working hard enough. 3. The main coordinators of the Med Surg and pharmacology classes are in such good standings with the Dean, that any flaws (major ones like a majority of their students not passing the NCLEX) are brushed aside. They will never face any consequences for they are infallible to the Dean. 4. The graduates of this school have very poor success rate in passing the NCLEX exams (look up Illinois license for nurses accreditation) 5. Not a lot of learning happens in this school because we are given very little time to between the lectures given and the periods of time the exams are given to us. 6. Our grades and our exams suspiciously change either for the worse or for the better. And when we inquire why this is so, we are not given any answers. 7. They don't give us back our tests so we don't know why we did so poorly or so well on the exams. They don't give it back mainly because the teachers are so lazy to make a new exam so that it would not be copied by a former student and be used for the next class. 8. They take pleasure in seeing us fail because they make more money if we take a class twice rather than taking it once. 9. Very low NCLEX passing scores. 10. On probation from the Illinois Accreditation for the 5th year as I write this. Why is this scam of a place still around. I would assume that before they lose their accreditation they will just change their name to "Creek Point Uni" "Go Smoke Some Crack and Go Here Uni". And these are the reasons why I would sell myself for crack than go to this scam of an institution.

They want to be successful. There is lots of staff members that can help you out from professors to peers. During orientation, they do explain what courses will be taken, materials needed, what to expect, and who to see if you have issues. The school has a simulation lab that really impressed me. It was very open, clean, and lots of equipment for hands on skills. There is a cafeteria downstairs, library, and a 24 hour student lounge. This program does provide night and weekend courses which not many universities do. There is a 24 hour security and they will offer to walk to your car in the evening if it seems sketchy. There is free parking for students. Wink wink. Overall, I really enjoy the friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic staff. I hope that this stays consistent throughout the program.
