I was happy that DG CPR was still offering in-person classes during this pandemic. The setup is safe and the class size made it accommodating to maintain proper social distancing. Hand sanitizer was readily available and of course masks are worn. I just have to say that anytime I called with questions, Dave was/is always nice and he makes sure all or any of my concerns were addressed. Jesse was my instructor previously and for the recent ACLS class I've taken. Jesse is a great instructor. He's very knowledgeable and really cares about making sure you know what you need to know for successful passing. He makes you feel very comfortable whether you're a beginner or experienced. You never feel uncomfortable asking questions or not knowing the right answer. I'll continue to come back to Downers Grove CPR. read more

Awesome class! I had a very knowledgable instructor who explained the information very well and applied ACLS skills to the clinical setting for nurses and nursing students. The setting promoted a great learning environment and had a small class size, which I really liked. Jesse explained each step of the ACLS processes very well and made sure that each of us practiced and understood the information. He even provided us extra information that we may not ever learn to use in nursing, such as intubation. The class was not too long either, and he let us take breaks if we needed to. David was great! He went through every step of the CPR program and made sure we understood every step. He had us ask questions even though I was nervous at first, he helped us to relax before we started the class. David made sure we did everything correctly as he taught us. I like that he made us do things over just to make sure we understood every step of our CPR class. It is a tremendous experience to get through a BLS class and earn my AHA BLS Provider eCard during the Pandemic. We wear surgical masks during the 3 1/2 hours session and managed to practice while maintaining safe social distancing. Mr. David provided every student with a filtered valve connector for breathing practices through a barrier mask. I feel comfortable with the lesson because I know we are learning with the great instructor, and we are safe for the integrated COVID-19 measures. Best CPR class I've done in 8 years of healthcare! I did my ACLS & BLS renewal in one go with Jesse as my instructor; super informative, and he challenged us to really learn the algorithms with hands on experience and made it as fun/engaging as possible. I think we all left the class feeling more confident in our skills and I really appreciated the small class size. He also pointed out realistic scenarios based on each of our careers and what our resources would likely be in an emergency situation. Would definitely renew here again! read more

As a healthcare provider, I took the BLS skills class and found David to be a very organized, engaging, and clear in his presentation and instruction. The CPR class ran smoothly and was painless. David was professional yet friendly. He goes out of his way to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible not only while participating in class but has seemed to have thought of everything ie pads for kneeling, tables for infant cpr, water bottles, hair ties etc. The registration process was also quick and easy. David is an excellent instructor with a great deal of relevant experience and teaching skills. Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED. Scout Troop parents and scouts were trained and certified in 5 1/12 hours. David was very professional, answered any and all questions from the guests, and kept the atmosphere casual and conversational by talking with us, not at us. RN doing re-certification and this class was convenient and very thorough. Dave is friendly, professional and knowledgeable . Next time I will choose blended class as this class with test was 3.5 hours which is too long for a re-cert class, but this is not Dave's fault. Was very impressed with this CPR and ACLS course, which is taught in person (my employer offers online, but my feeling is this dilutes the experience and learning).
