This place is a hard pass for me. The owners are not only rude, but downright unprofessional. I've overheard them talking about customers behind their backs like it's a gossip circle, not a children's gym. Super inappropriate and honestly embarrassing for a business. The gym itself is always dirty nothing looks like it gets sanitized, and the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. But the final straw? One of the owners actually raised her voice at my child because she thought he was taking a toy somewhere he wasn't supposed to. In reality, he was helping clean up a mess that wasn't even his. Imagine yelling at a child who's literally trying to help. Completely unacceptable behavior. The owners have zero warmth, no personality, and clearly no idea how to run a child-focused business. Safe to say we won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to any parent who cares about a respectful, clean, and safe space for their kids. read more

NOT SERVICE-DOG FRIENDLY!!!! I came here for one of my daughter's classmate's birthday party and I have a registered service dog. In the state of CT, I am not required to prove my disability or if my dog is a service animal by showing them my dog's registration. They secluded me to a space outside of the main play area where my daughter was playing (pictured). There are two other rooms plus another room where the party goes to for cake/food. I am not allowed there either due to my service dog having to be with me. Thank god my partner is with me because I wouldn't feel comfortable with my daughter being in places I can't see her, especially a place as discriminatory as this one. The craft room downstairs is nice & a good activity for kids. They have a great selection of objects for painting to choose from. The play space upstairs is a different story. It's dirty. You can see the bottom of kids socks getting dirtier the longer they play. The rugs don't look like they've been vacuumed in a long time. One of the rooms upstairs is just a large room with toys thrown all over the floor. Nothing in any of the playrooms looked like it had been wiped down recently. Everything was grimy. The bathrooms were filthy and didn't look like they were kept up throughout the day either. I don't plan on going back. read more

I absolutely love taking the kids I nanny for to Best Time Ever! It's such a calm and relaxing place for children to be creative and let their imaginations be free. It can get expensive here but overall, the prices per piece are reasonable considering it includes the use of the studio. The owner is super nice and friendly. We absolutely adore this place ! The staff is amazing. Feels like home I bring my 2 and 3 year old here as often as I can. The prices are extremely reasonable, lots of crafts to choose from and everything you need. It's not easy to take two young boys anywhere alone but the woman here are so helpful and my kids love it! They paint, then go play in the gum, go back and paint or color some more! You never feel rushed! This place is a MUST for kids of really any age! I highly highly recommend it! read more

This week was my first visit to Best Time Ever and what a Great Find! I had been eyeing it while I was next door at Kids U for some time now, but had never gone in before. My daughter is 3.5 years old and absolutely LOVED it. She cannot stop talking about how much fun she had and how she wants to go back. There are art projects for all different age groups and skill levels and you really feel like a kid in the candy store --so many different choices of projects, paints, colors, etc. It is a really nice environment for kids (and parents!) - the owner Adrienne was very down to earth and welcoming, and I couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were. Had I known how inexpensive and fun this place was - I would have been here a long time ago. Plus, no need to get your house messy with your kids' craft projects -they have full freedom to get things messy without all the clean up! If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it. I can't say enough about this place! We love it! Owners are super nice (and crafty) and always give great kid attention. The birthday parties are great and easy! They take care of everything before and during. My daughter begs to go to 'the art store'. The projects are endless there. The best is there is no sitting fee. Pay by the project. I love going here with my son who is 2.5 years old. It is super relaxed and friendly and they make it super easy for him to try his hand at different crafts. He picks out wooden cars or trucks and he paints them and I give them to the grandparents for gifts which is awesome. They also have a toy area where he just plays sometimes. I was so excited to be holding my daughter's birthday party at Best Time Ever, the arts and crafts studio that opened up in Stamford CT in the summer of 2012. The pluses: The parties are bespoke - you sit down ahead of time with a staff member who helps you to decide on the theme of the party. There are a variety of craft projects to choose from (you do 2 in total) and the staff help bring it to life. They provide all decorations and paper goods and can source pizza and drinks for you too. The studio is big, bright and attractive and there is plenty of space for parents to sit and relax. The minuses: Maybe we got the staff on a bad day (maybe they were tired, it was the second party, towards the end of the day). I didn't feel like there was much warmth or energy from them towards the kids and this wasn't what I was expecting, given the positive experience I had had throughout the planning process with another staff member who wasn't there on the day. I don't think the kids picked up on this (my daughter really enjoyed herself), but it was something that the parents noticed. It seemed like they were going through the motions. Overall the the party was a success but I didn't get a great vibe so wouldn't be booking a party here again. read more

We have been loyal clients to BTE since the very first day of business! It is actually so well located - right next door to KidsU, that we end up going to KidsU and then BTE or BTE then Kids U!!! We've had a birthday party there....been to 3 birthday parties for other children, and even though we probably end up there 2 -4 times monthly, my kids are always BEGGING to go back!! The alternative is several other studios which charge "studio time" on top of the fee for purchasing the product.....which is ridiculous, considering my children are all younger than 8 years and they can sometimes take HOURS to finish a project... And at BTE you can finish your project and take it with you the same day. The other studios have to ship your work off to a kiln.....and guess what?? After paying an exorbitant fee for my 5 year old twins' projects, I then actually forgot to pick the darn things up when they were ready one month later. Who can be bothered? I was shocked to read Sarah W.'s review. All I can say is she MUST have gotten the staff on a bad day, because, in my experience, the owner, Adrienne, and her staff could NOT be nicer or go more out of her way to help my kids and the zillions of other kids that attend parties there!! Trust me, you would not go wrong by dropping by during regular business hours and doing some painting yourself.....or, heck, bring your kids along as well!! Happy Creating!! read more

This studio is immaculate, bright, roomy, and like nothing else in our area. We've gone numerous times to pop in & do art projects with friends, and always have had a great experience. The name sums it up- take your kids her if you want them to have "the best time ever". read more
