Since most of the reviews here were over 2 years old I thought I'd give them a try ... save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. After receiving a proposal I was told to call to complete my order and pay, however, I had changes to make to the invoice before proceeding so I emailed again asking for a new invoice. Anyway, after emailing and getting the invoice NEARLY correct, I called and no one answered so I left a message. When they returned my call I was busy so I emailed back with the changes I was going to ask them to make and was surprised when the next email subject line was (in all caps) YOU NEED TO CALL; TOO MANY EMAILS GOING ON. I work a full time job and email is a much easier way to communicate during the day. I explained this to him and his response was "make time to call me at lunch"! I explained that I had tried him at lunch, he didn't answer, and when he called back I was in a meeting. This is all beside the fact that I still had yet to receive an invoice with the correct details listed, which I needed to see before committing to using this company and call with my cc details. He is truly one of the most unprofessional people I've ever exchanged emails with and unfortunately it seems nothing has changed here. I strongly recommend going literally anywhere else. read more

Table/Chairs/Tent rental came in okay shape. They delivered before party and picked up promptly. On the pickup their truck drove over part of my yard and destroyed the grass. The owner was very defensive and hostile when I brought up the damage. I won't rent again from here. read more

While I wouldn't consider myself a full-time home event entertainer, I do have experience planning sales and volunteer experiences for my business and charitable needs. Peter's Party Fixins helped me when I wanted to have an intimate in-home dinner party for a select group of friends to celebrate my new condo in our building in Stamford. With a marketing piece they had left at a corporate event in Greenwich I was able to see a wonderful idea for my party. I ordered dinnerware, glassware, a round table, matching tablecloth and napkin linens, flatware, chaffing dishes, chairs and more. The rules of my building called for them to set up a time in advance so we could put up padding in the elevator for protection and Peter's team arrived in the morning as I requested. I realized when speaking to the office that there'd be an extra fee for the special delivery details, but the total cost was significantly less than other services. The final pickup on Saturday morning went off without a hitch. My quests were impressed with the dinner, (The caterer cooked a wonderful meal.) and I was very happy with everything. I'll do this type of dinner again because I didn't have to store anything. read more

DO NOT EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I have never encountered worse service. The owner, Peter, takes out his anger on customers. When we spoke on the phone he continually cut me off, yelled, made rude sarcastic comments and demanded I tip his employee. If I had time to take my business elsewhere, I would. I'm SHOCKED this company is in business. When I asked to see Peter in person, it did not at all seem to be a surprise to his employee that he had yelled at me and I was extremely upset. Seeing the other reviews, it seems this is a trend. DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR BUSINESS. Don't waste your time with this place!!!! I only gave it one star cause you have to have at least one to post the review. I placed a reservation for an event I was having 3 months prior to the event. Unfortunately I had to cancel the event and called to cancel the reservation and get a refund. Per their policy any changes or cancelations had to be made one week prior to the event or there would be a 20% restocking fee... Ok understandable. I called and canceled my order 6 weeks before the event was to take place. Office staff said it would be 5-7 business days for the refund to be credited back to my card. Fine. 11 days later still no refund. After numerous calls and messages I finally went to the store to speak with the manager in person because any time I called he was out of the office in a meeting or otherwise unavailable. When I went to the office he could care less. He shrugged his shoulders and said I sent the refund 2 days ago mind you I canceled 11 days ago! I told him that that was unacceptable and horrible customer service he said " What do you want me to do?!" How about apologize for any inconvenience this has caused or maybe sticking to your own written policy and refund me my money within the 5-7 business day time frame you advertise. He was rude, unprofessional, and unapologetic. Further more I was very happy I went there and was able to see the quality of their products the wood ballroom chairs they rent for $8 a pop are nothing more than plastic chairs spray painted to silver gold white black etc. the wooden padded folding chairs that are $3.50 each are more suitable for children's parties than adults and they look like they are touched up with white out and sharpies. The place is filthy and stinks to high heaven probably due to his dog having free reign throughout the store.
