It used to be when you walked into a doctor's office, they had more than HMO training, more than just the ability to follow HMO rules and regulations, there used to be doctors who actually had knowledge and were intuitive about your body and condition. You will find this once again Elaine. Over eight years ago, after having gone to a myriad of doctors and specialist, all of which were baffled by my condition, it was Elaine who was finally able to pin-point my issues and begin to help me work through them. By the time I had reached her, I was in fairly bad shape, unable to walk on my own and had a lump in my breast, most doctors were penciling in the death certificate but Elaine took a far more positive approach. She worked with my family to help us develop a treatment protocol which centered around my desire to stay as holistic as possible. She was sensitive to my desire to treat the cancer holistically and supported my decision, even though at times, I knew she was concerned. Elaine did not lecture me or try to force me into anything I was not comfortable in doing. Instead, she would lay out the options to my family and allowed us to make the decision that best suited my body. Elaine then supported us throughout our chosen treatment protocol. I still have clean cancer numbers 4 1/2 years after having a 3 1/2 pound, triple-negative tumor removed in a mastectomy. When most doctors didn't think I'd make it off the surgery table, Elaine stayed supportive of our family. In the end, I survived the cancer. I am still dealing with the severe neurological disease that put me in a wheelchair as a paraplegic but even in what seems like a dead-end condition, we are seeing small steps forward. Elaine worked with all my illnesses from the beginning, helping me to find ways to deal with the pain, looking for new treatment methods when the old ones weren't working and giving me hope for the future. She never gives up on you, she just keeps on working to find the answers. Her knowledge is amazing and she is willing to think 'outside the box' in trying to find the root cause of your issues instead of treating symptoms, something that is difficult to find in the medial field these days. While I appreciate his willingness to conduct thorough testing, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. During my visit, I received an overwhelming number of supplement recommendations--over a million it seemed. It is stipulated in any search that an over whelming amount of supplements is NOT GOOD ! I do get because he is a nurse Practitioner he is limited to the amount of money he could make therefore all these supplements recommendations definitely supplement his income. Example: The 1st prescription was Plaque X specific to the high Calcium score which is what I originally went there for, which turned out to be an astonishing $7,000. Unfortunately, after following his protocol and undergoing another calcium score test, my results worsened instead of improving. He recommended a bowl test for stomach health which actually was $200 and he charged me $800. In supplements alone I spent about $700. Additionally, when I mentioned wanting to lose weight and discussed with him about taking some type of Semi glutted which is like Ozempic he decided to prescribe thyroid medication without a comprehensive evaluation. He felt my thyroid was low but it has always been low most of the time. This decision proved problematic; the medication caused severe spikes in my blood pressure & heart rate to go sky rocket that required hospitalization. Thankfully, once I stopped taking it, my condition returned to normal. While I believe he had good intentions in trying to help me achieve better health outcomes, the approach felt haphazard and overwhelming. Furthermore, the staff at his office not only lacked professionalism but also demonstrated a noticeable lack of empathy--especially his wife. Its all about money with the wife. Garcia would want to talk about something and she would come in and almost drag him out. Never mine Sunshine at the front desk. She always looks like she has a chip on her shoulder. In conclusion, while Magdiel Garcia may have valuable knowledge and intentions to assist patients like myself, it's crucial for him to adopt a more measured and patient-centered approach. And I loved it when she had that office. I found a lot of reason to dislike this office with the new staff, but stayed because of convenience.. today was the last straw!!!!!!!!! I simply needed a form filled out for my daughter for Marywood College. The front desk was so rude, and after a 2 day wait, still wouldn't tell me when the medical form would get signed. Clearly, the staff could have easily filled out the form because all the records are there, but no one there wanted to do their job! I will be pulling all 6 of my girls' records out of that office and going elsewhere where were treated decently. I'm unaware if the Dr is aware of the staffs rudeness and incompetence because they did everything they could to prevent me from speaking to her so I'm done !
