When I arrived I dealt with one receptionist who was rude and impatient, suggesting the error was mine. I took off half day of work to be at this appointment. The doctor was in but would not see me, intimating that it would throw off her schedule. I can't tell you how many times I have had to wait past my appointment time to see a doctor. It was their error and they didn't care nor did they do anything to accommodate me. The receptionist said it was Dr. Joy's decision. Needless to say, they lost a patient. Rude and terrible customer service. FIND A DIFFERENT PRACTICE!

The person at the check-in desk at the Lawrenceville location told me I would be able to make it to my appointment at the Princeton location if I went right away, because I arrived early to my appointment. I made it to the Princeton location maybe 4 or 5 minutes late (probably 3 minutes tbh). The elderly Caucasian woman working the front desk was extremely rude, passive aggressive and condescending. Not only was she acting this way towards me, but after my check-in, she checked in another (male) patient. She was OVERTLY nice to him. So nice that I assumed they knew eachother personally or he was a doctor there.. even exclaiming how "hApPy" she was (in a louder voice) to have a patient arrive so early. What was weird to me was that.. he was seen by his doctor not even 1 minute after being checked in. I waited probably maybe 5 minutes, not a big deal at all.. just odd that you'd be seen to quickly if you were there "sO eArLy".. If you chose to work in the medical field you should have a little empathy, even if you're just "The Check-In Lady". No one is late to their appointments on purpose. Everyone realizes doctors have other patients. Do you think any of us want to spend this kind of money and then arrive LATE to these appointment (and possible pay late/cancel fees)? Appointments mostly concerning people with hormonal issues!? No. On top of that, I don't want to be treated like the scum of the earth for making an honest to God mistake (and still making it to my appointment :) ). I wish I could say at least my doctor is helpful, but they really aren't. I have a lot of questions that just go unanswered and I don't really know where to turn. Endocrinology is not something I'm familiar with at all and I was hoping a doctor would help me understand what's going on, but I'm always rushed out of my appointments. My doctor often makes me feel sort of crazy.. I don't know how to explain that, but I've never felt that way with another doctor. Maybe if Advocare's reminder system was a little clearer this wouldn't happen. Patients shouldn't be treated badly by staff. End of story, I won't be back. Bye !

What happened to me is not an isolated inconvenience -- it reflects a deeper, structural problem that puts patients at risk, especially those with complex medical circumstances or limited treatment options. Day before yesterday, while acutely ill with an undiagnosed respiratory infection, I sought care at their office. The physician began the diagnostic process with rapid strep and flu testing, but did not perform a 24‑hour strep culture -- a standard step when symptoms are severe or persistent. Since that visit, I have been battling a 104‑degree fever with no relief, and because I cannot take anything stronger than Tylenol, timely follow‑up care is not optional for me; it is essential. Yesterday, I contacted the office repeatedly to express worsening symptoms, discuss the need for retesting, and request guidance. Despite the seriousness of the situation -- including the fact that I live with an immunocompromised family member awaiting a kidney transplant -- the practice was unable to accommodate any follow‑up evaluation. Not a same‑day appointment. Repeated nurse callbacks happened with no solid plan of action. This is not acceptable patient care. When a medical practice cannot respond to urgent concerns during peak illness season, patients are left with two unacceptable choices: suffer at home without adequate support or seek emergency care for issues that should be manageable in an outpatient setting. Neither outcome reflects a functioning primary‑care system. Princeton Medical Group must take responsibility for addressing these gaps. That means proactively recruiting additional nursing staff and primary care physicians, expanding triage capacity, and ensuring that high‑risk patients are not left without guidance or access to care. Flu and RSV surges are predictable. Patient abandonment should not be. My experience underscores a broader truth: the community deserves a medical practice that is prepared, responsive, and capable of delivering safe, timely care -- not one that leaves patients stranded when they need help most. Several years ago my sister did three rounds of egg retrievals for me and my partner. Again, medically, everything went fine and we're happy with the results we got. But the company's ability to process logistical operations is mind numbingly absent. We were constantly given information at the last minute. There were so many preventable delays in the process. Any time I needed to ask anybody a question it felt like pulling teeth to get information and there is no point person who is overseeing everything for you. I was always calling a phone number and having to explain complicated things to a new person. Notes were rarely, if ever, taken. I once offered to buy them a notebook where they could write things down - which was laughed at, and unfortunately not a joke. At one point they referred my partner and my sister to two different genetic testing clinics and then made me fight them to comp the cost of the bill for this having to be redone because of their mistake. I could write pages and pages documenting encounters like this. This was all years ago and I somehow managed to put my anger aside and not write this review because I was just happy to be done with it. But here I am years later trying to move my eggs to a new clinic to create embryos (because over my dead body would I continue to work with this company) and they're making it just as complicated on the way out as it was on the way in. I called in this week to ask a simple question - "where are my eggs currently located and who is the contact person I can put my transport team in contact with to have them picked up?". This is apparently a difficult question for them to answer. It took three days for someone to call me back and tell me I need to schedule an appointment with a separate department in TWO MONTHS to get this information. I asked for direct contact information for somebody I could be in touch with to oversee expediting this. They had nothing to offer me. Nothing is simple here and I'm already exhausted by how hard I know I'm going to have to fight to get my own eggs out of this company's hands in the coming weeks/months. A part of me feels bad leaving one star because, again, I do think the doctors we dealt with were good. The individual people within the company are nice enough - but there is no communication between departments and individuals. It's like everything falls off into a void. The corporate structure around the medical team is one of the most incompetent and careless systems I've ever encountered. I paid too much money to be treated this way. Fertility journeys are stressful and emotional - even when you're being treated well. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to do more research before picking a clinic. I've already found a new clinic to make embryos with and have been very quickly able to confirm what I always suspected - It doesn't have to be this hard.
