What can I say that hasn't already been said? Buc-ee's is absolutely amazing! This place is so much…read moremore than a gas station -- it's an experience. You can literally find just about anything you need here, from snacks and souvenirs to fresh food and desserts. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh brisket and barbecue hits you right away. The brisket sandwiches are fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The bakery section is dangerous in the best way possible, filled with so many delicious goodies and sweet treats that it's hard to choose just one. The hot food section had so many tasty options available that I honestly couldn't decide what to get. Everything looked fresh, hot, and delicious. No matter what you're craving, they probably have it. The store itself was super clean, well organized, and surprisingly efficient considering how busy it gets. The staff kept everything moving smoothly, and the atmosphere was fun and energetic. If you've never been to Buc-ee's, you need to stop at least once. And once you do, you'll probably find yourself wanting to stop every time you see one on the road.

The potato chip things were not good. They were stale and soggy. We were able to get a couple of bottles of wine for the hotel room next door. They had the braver mascot in the store so the kids were able to take a photo either him and that was cool.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating and we opted to use the suite for 3 hours with the first hour included from Priority Pass. There was no wait, although it was probably around 7am when we stopped by. The facilities are pretty small--we only saw about 4-5 rooms, so I can see why there would be a wait during peak travel hours. The room itself is fairly small--it's barely adequate for 2 adults and luggage--so if your group is larger than that, you may want to consider 2 rooms. There's a couch with a pull out "mattress", a desk, and some basic lighting and white noise controls. If you're using the suite to work, it really isn't worth it IMO. I'd rather use one of the many airline lounges for free. As many have mentioned, the couch itself wasn't super comfortable. There was a hard wooden support right in the middle of it, making it difficult to get comfortable. The pull out mattress was firm, but at least it didn't have that uncomfortable wooden support in it. The suites themselves are pretty insulated from light so with a combination of the white noise generator, we were able to get a good amount of rest. The only saving grace for this place is that you don't have to leave airside and it's significantly more comfortable to be able to lay flat to rest vs. sitting up in a chair in an airline lounge. Is it worth almost $50-100/hr for the privilege? I'm not sure.

Buc-ee's certainly embodied that, and then some. For starters, I didn't know there could be that many kinds of jerky. A jerky wall spanning one entire side of the grocery area competed with a stand serving their popular brisket sandwiches. The buck toothed beaver mascot is charming enough, but seeing it printed on everything from onesies to throw pillows to mugs had me wondering how big of a Buc-ee's superfan could one be? Apparently devoted enough to sustain an entire merchandise empire. The food ailes were just as robust. Branded pasta sauces, honey, spices, jams, and even bath and body products lined shelf after shelf. In a zombie apocalypse, you could probably survive stocking up here alone. I was most amused by lotion and soap scented like bucees praline pecans, one of their most popular snacks. The scent sounds cloying to me and I can't imagine intentionally wanting to smell like that, but there's really something for everyone here, no matter how niche the desire.

Then we have to go inside and figure it out. Adds 30 minutes to our trip. There's never anyone at the gas station to help. So frustrating. And when you call the number on the receipt it just tells you to go to the website which is not helpful. Maybe we will learn someday.
