We arrived super early on a redeye into Houston and had a long layover, which was unfortunately not long enough to consider leaving the airport, so we decided to give Minute Suites a try. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and we opted to use the suite for 3 hours with the first hour included from Priority Pass. There was no wait, although it was probably around 7am when we stopped by. The facilities are pretty small--we only saw about 4-5 rooms, so I can see why there would be a wait during peak travel hours. The room itself is fairly small--it's barely adequate for 2 adults and luggage--so if your group is larger than that, you may want to consider 2 rooms. There's a couch with a pull out "mattress", a desk, and some basic lighting and white noise controls. If you're using the suite to work, it really isn't worth it IMO. I'd rather use one of the many airline lounges for free. As many have mentioned, the couch itself wasn't super comfortable. There was a hard wooden support right in the middle of it, making it difficult to get comfortable. The pull out mattress was firm, but at least it didn't have that uncomfortable wooden support in it. The suites themselves are pretty insulated from light so with a combination of the white noise generator, we were able to get a good amount of rest. The only saving grace for this place is that you don't have to leave airside and it's significantly more comfortable to be able to lay flat to rest vs. sitting up in a chair in an airline lounge. Is it worth almost $50-100/hr for the privilege? I'm not sure. read more

I've been to at least a dozen Minute Suites and while I wouldn't say this location was in a bad state it definitely needs a refresh. The couch was flat in that it felt like there was a significant amount of stuffing missing in it. The rooms felt threadbare and worn out. While nothing was overtly dirty the place felt less comforting than some of the seats available outside the suites by the gates. read more

My priority pass included an hour at the Minute Suites in Houston's George Bush Airport for free. The couch was extremely uncomfortable- like you have to work extra hard to make a couch that uncomfortable. You can't lay down on it either - painful bar between the two sections. No blanket or pillow even if you were tempted to sleep on it. Nearest Restroom was a 5 minute walk in the terminal. With the $5 cleaning fee, my "free" hour was a painful and unsatisfying experience- never going back. And shame on you Priority Pass for tolerating this. read more

I am a member of Priority Pass which gets you one hour for free. I had a 4 hour red-eye flight and landed in Houston at 4am (my time). Luckily, my gate was right next to Minute Suites. I was taken to a small room with a desk and a small couch. As other reviewers have said, the couches are not comfortable but I was exhausted. The weird thing was that I noticed immediately that there was not a pillow or blanket so I had to go back up to the front desk to ask for these items. The friendly front desk staff said "Oh, yes. I will bring one for you". She came back with a thin blanket. I had to ask for a pillow and returned again with it. It was a big comfy one, at least. I managed to get some rest on the couch. The rates are $65/hr - I would NOT pay this, but as is free perk from Priority Pass, I would definitely return if I arrived from a red-eye flight again. read more

If you are able to, and need a quiet place to hang out before your next flight, this is a cool place to hang out. I do have airline club access, but as it was packed, I decided to try this place out. For a fee, you can book a room for an hour. As an American Express Platinum card member, I can get an hour for free. Once I got to the counter, the friendly employee told me that all suites were booked and I would be given a reservation time about 30 minutes from now. In the future, should I go to an airport location with a Minute Suites, I can go online and book a reservation. Once my reservation time arrived, I was whisked away to one of the suites. I stayed in the NASA room. No food or drink is included but they do have some items for purchase. You can also bring your own food. Inside my room, there was a desk and a couch with plenty of electrical outlets and a TV. I like the privacy as there is a door that you can close and lock and you can comfortably seat 3 adults. The couch can be pulled out so that you can maybe take a quick power nap. Although it's a simple no-frills concept, you are paying for a private room where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the airport. I am not sure if I would pay for it as I mentioned earlier, I have membership to the airline club. But, in a pinch, if the airport is just crowded, I might be tempted to pay. I could imagine that this place would be very popular during the busy holidays and busy travel seasons. I would definitely come back here again next time I have a longer layover in IAH. read more

Brought kids for connecting flights at Houston airport. We arrived around 5 or 6 am and need a place to crash for a couple of hours. The minute suites is located around terminal C14 and not far from where we landed and a short walk to the tram for other terminals. I called the day before and see if I need a reservation. I was told that they don't have much going on and I can just drop by. But when we arrived, I was told they only have very few suites and we needed to wait. Their website claimed that we could shower over here but it didn't state that there is no restroom. The closest one requires some walk. It was a little inconvenient. We got into the suit in about 10-20 min of wait. The suit is really a quarter size of a regular room. A desk and a chair for working station and a sofa bed. I was traveling with my daughters and we somehow managed to all fit in for a quick nap. It was not very comfortable. For the time that we had, this is much more comfortable than crashing at the waiting area. But this is far from a real hotel room. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you are a solo traveler, connecting flights looking for a place to work and do conference call (and no access to lounge), this might be a better option. read more

We had a long layover as a result of the TSA / Government Shutdown. Naturally we attempted to secure a suite for at least a few hours so that we could get some rest ahead of our connecting flight. (10 hour layover). Well we got there on March 25, at about 11pm local time. We understood it was a long shot given that alot of people were staying at the airport given that airport security lines were approx. 6 hours at the time. So we waited next to a gentleman that had been standing around waiting to get help a few minutes prior to us arriving. The two employees were sitting around, conversing with each other. One finally looks up and instead of acknowledging us, or letting us know that there were no available suites, proceeds to put up a sign that said they had no vacancies. Again, having no vacancies was totally understandable. What was not was the poor customer service. It would not have killed the employees to simply say that there were no vacancies at at least acknowledge the folks waiting to be served. After reading some reviews, i realize I didn't miss out on much. read more

The woman at the front desk was not helpful or friendly. She did not offer a pillow or blanket or let us know the only bathrooms were back down the terminal. The couch was also in bad shape. See the photos. When we left she continued to talk to her co-worker without a word to us. I don't expect a big deal but some common courtesy is nice. Waste of $40 read more

I'm a priority club member and I was traveling on a super delayed flight from O'Hare to Houston and then to Phoenix. So I tried to book my free hour, but you can't reserve the free hour so I had to book 2. I was OK with booking too because I was supposed to be there almost 2.5 hours so I get at least an hour and a half I figured. Unfortunately, my flight was delayed even more and by the time I got there I basically had about 45 minutes. This is a business that knows 100% how airline travel works and they do not refund once you pre-pay. So even though I was there 45 minutes they charge me for an hour (three hour first). Houston airport is huge and this is not located anywhere near the middle where it would make sense. So it's a long walk if you are not in this exact terminal. So location is awful for an airport. The set up is OK. Took me a few minutes to get a receptionist to come to the front desk for some reason. Even though I rang the bell a couple of times. The rooms are very sparse. The couch/bed is ridiculously uncomfortable. If you try to use it as a bed, there is literally a bar in the middle of the couch on this thin little mattress pad that they have that just is constantly in your back so you'll never get comfortable. It's incredible to me that you would build basically sleep pods with uncomfortable beds in an airport. I don't know how that's even an option or possible. There's no way that somebody sat on those beds and then laid down on them and felt comfortable. There's absolutely no way. It just feels like they did everything as cheap as they possibly could. Which is the wrong decision for this business. Everything should be as comfortable as possible to make it the most valuable as possible to users. In general, I just didn't feel it was worth it unless she really had a long time and even then you'd have to figure out a way to try and get comfortable in that bed if you actually want to sleep. Sleeping on a plane might actually be more comfortable. While it's a great idea in theory, location, and pricing really matters. This does not provide either. It is very poorly implemented at this location and leaves much to be desired. I'm glad I tried it and that I know, but I would never pay for it again. I would use my free hour if I had a full hour to sit in there, but I would never pay for it. It's just simply not comfortable and not worth it. It's really difficult to recommend this unless you are just beyond exhausted and have the free hour. It's not worth your money. read more

Horrible customer service, we walked up late and tired. The guy at the front kept rubbing lotion on his hands, was not friendly, did not greet up. Did not explain what the process was... we waited patiently to find out that the hourly was not in our budget, we asked what the suites looked like.... he was least bothered or helpful! We will never come or try to stay here. We thought that it was not worth it so we left. When you go to the counter you should be greeted. read more

This place charges $55 an hour!!! They don't even have a real bed. It's a foam pad on the ground with one pillow and one blanket. The Marriott in the airport was $128 for the night (3pm - 11am) with a pool and gym. I have never seen these airport sleep places so outrageously priced. read more

This place is perfect for what it is. I visited on Christmas morning after a red eye flight for a pre-booked shower and it was perfect. I have also used this location to sleep during a multi-hour layover and it was again perfect for our use case.
