Front desk lady was very nice upon check in. Front lobby smelled like Clorox clean. She said they had just had an inspection that's why it smelled liked. So I'm assuming the rooms would smell like that. But they didn't! The hallway entrance and the room smelled weird, old and like they tried to cover other smells. Blood stain on the sheets, small couch smelled horrible, remote still had crusty food from the last occupants. Breakfast? Well, the idea is awesome, not set up with eggs, sausage, milk orange juice, cereal etc But if you're going to serve hot food, make sure it's fresh and tasty. Eggs tasted like cold rubber. Orange juice was watered down. This hotel had good reviews, the only reason I stayed there. I'm telling you the honest truth so the next person is lead here by an employee or friend review. Also, from 8:30-4:00 am the family above us played soccer, jumped around and spoke loudly all night. I told the front office but the blonde young man with glasses didn't have anything to say when I told him. I'm done. 2 stars are for the nice lady who checked us in. read more

After calling many hotels last minute and just getting call centers or unable to reach a person at all, I appreciated being able to speak to the person at the front desk for this Best Western. It's a good location for visiting the Salt River. The staff was nice and able to extend our stay. Overall a good stay but 1 star off for the room being a bit dirty at almost $300/night. We got the last room so not possible to request another room so we just cleaned it ourselves. read more

Great location for those who are traveling through Apache Junction. It isn't far from the city center, or other attractions near that area. They have a beautiful pool and nice hot tub. They have a full continental breakfast. Now the one downfall to the place (for me) was our room. Room 101 faces the highway. I was hoping for a room that faced the pool because we traveled with a 6-month-old, and mom and dad wanted some time to hang out and talk on the patio. However, we informed the place was completely booked, and our section of the hotel is where they put older people who can't go upstairs and people with infants (well, at least that is what I was told). The room was clean, bed comfortable for being a hotel bed. The pillows are my favorite, but they worked. I just hated waking up to the road every day, and the road can be loud. Heads up if you are going to stay here with an infant, they do not run out cribs, so you do not need to reserve one, and that gives them a heads up that you are traveling with an infant and most likely won't get a room with a view of the pool. read more

We had a great stay. Jason checked us in and Kathie on the way out. Very clean room, lobby and breakfast area. We enjoyed the breakfast each day, which has a nice variety of options. Wasn't planning on staying overnight, but at the last minute it became necessary. This cost a little more than the typical Motel 6 I stay in when in these situations, but I didn't have pets with me and I was in the middle of nowhere. I balked at the extra $20 - but it was so worth it! The room was neat as a pin. It had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and huge TV. Lots of light, free wifi, and an office chair/desk. Downstairs, coin laundry was available. It was very quiet. I even had a balcony, with chairs and a little table, where I could see the pool. In the morning, I went down to the lodge-like lobby for a real breakfast of sausage, fresh waffles, eggs (not real, but with enough hot sauce and country gravy, not bad), tater tots, and choices of yogurt, fresh fruit, any cereal I could possibly want, and fruit juices. The only change I would make is the front desk guy when I first came in. He was one of those "I'm on the phone so the rest of the world doesn't exist" people. Even though he was mumbling, I could tell it wasn't a business call - but that doesn't matter. Freakin' acknowledge the patron, buddy. I would hardly consider making eye contact and acknowledging the person who is in front of you multi-tasking. Pick it up, people! Typical hotel. I would've given it 3 stars but the lady at the front desk told me I had to check out at 11am even after I told her Priceline gave us a 12pm checkout. She didn't seem to care at all so had to argue with her for 5 minutes. It's stuff like that where I'll find some other motel next time I come here. The rooms were large and had a sofa, mini-refrigerator, microwave and large bathroom counter area. Our room was clean. We were on the second floor and there was a small balcony with chairs that was nice.They also have a complimentary breakfast buffet with many options of both hot foods and things like cereal and yogurt. I was bummed they didn't have recycling in the room. The staff was friendly. We witnessed a very rude customer and the staff handled it very well. read more

We booked this hotel based off its star rating from Yelp. We came over from San Diego to help a family member after the death of a loved one. We booked the room at a great rate through Expedia. The room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast is awesome. The stations were clean and well stocked. Eggs, bacon, sausage, a waffle and pancake maker. All kinds of cereal and beverages. Very impressed. The Lady at the front desk (Kathie) was so very kind and helpful to us during our otherwise stressful time. Not bad for being in the middle of no where. My sister and I along with our guys made a trek out there to visit our baby sister and the hotel was a 3 minute drive from where she was. The place was set up quite nicely on the outside and the room was what you would expect. 2 large beds with sheets, blanket and south western patterned bedspread, cable ready medium sized TV on a swivel, mini fridge, and night stand with standard bible. The bathroom was large and roomy, a must really, I especially liked the shower curtain rod, it was one of those angular ones that give you more arm room. For where it was located the look and the price matched well in my opinion plus it helped that the total cost of the room was split between 4 of us. Since we only needed an area to sleep, shower and change while running all over the Phoenix area, this was totally more than your average motel. read more

Just stayed five nights here and have absolutely no complaints. Everything in the room and bathroom was clean. The room had a large flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a very comfortable bed. There was also a great breakfast buffet every morning. I was very happy with this hotel. Service was very good. I asked in advance for a crib and it was in the room when we first got there even though we checked in early. The lobby was nicely decorated. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Everything was clean. We did not check out the pool or eat breakfast there but I saw they had a pancake dispenser and waffle iron. Okay, the place isn't HORRIBLE as such, it's more a value for the money thing. It's what you'd expect if you're paying $60 a night, but it's a heck of a lot more expensive than that. Whether you like a steaming hot shower, or a nice cool one - you'll get both, because the water temp changes every 30 seconds. The place is ... Old. Shower curtain smells like mildew. Bedspread doesn't look like it's been laundered in 6 months. Walls are dirty. My advice - skip it. read more

The rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet, big screen tvs. The hotel it's self is well kept and maintained, the breakfast is decent for free, my one complaint is they use powered eggs and the sausage and bacon is microwaved. They had waffles, pancakes, oatmeal with all the fixings, cereal and danishes which is chose instead. Across the way is the the handlebar which is a great restaurant for lunch and dinner. What a lovely place to stay! We were there for only one night, but the comfy beds and cleanliness of the rooms were ideal. The front office staff was not enthusiastic or particularly friendly, but he got the job done. The design of the motel is such that rooms open onto the pool area, with doors to both a hallway and the outside patio. We loved this aspect! The hot tub was a disappointment, though, with jets not working and be temp a bit cool (this is Arizona!). Overall, a solid 4 for cleanliness, comfort, and design. read more

Stayed here for two nights with my Mom while we were moving from AP to Vancouver BC. The staff were super helpful, kind, clearly trained well for customer service. The room was super clean, and fresh with a nice A/C that kept us very cool the entirety of our stay. The pool and hot tub were quiet and not used much, but still clean and comfortable. The hot tub did eat my expensive bathing suit, because the cement is a bit scratchy. However, the free continental breakfast was nothing short of epic. Everything you could possibly need for breakfast, waffles, pancakes, yogurt, fresh fruit, 4 different types of syrup, pastries galore, 3 types of juice, bacon, eggs, sausage, coffe, tea. It's the best continental I have EVER seen, and all was fresh and hot/cold in the right places for the win. We were not disappointed in any way, what a great experience, we suggest it if you are passing through and just are needing a good breakfast for the road like we were. read more

BED BUGS! Do not stay here. I woke up to a bed bug crawling on my pillow. The Middle eastern guy up front wearing no shoes could barely speak English. He acts like he can't understand you. Then when you embarrass him for no shoes he will call the police and say you threatened him. Don't waste your time at a place who cannot conduct normal business because of language barriers. Luckily I got my money back. Unless you want to spread bed bugs and bring them home, avoid this place. read more

I had a great experience, until I called later to ask about the rate increase on the second night, once I reviewed my credit card statement. A man named "Gary" answered the phone at 6:56pm on 12/28, and I asked why the rate was higher on the second night. He said that is normal, that rates increase sometimes. I simply told him that he should notify the customer about that when they make the reservation. No harm. It was only $10. HOWEVER, after Gary hung up the phone (which he didn't hang up) I got to hear him badmouthing me to his co-worker. I quote "Some people just like to hear themselves talk". I called him back at 7:03pm, and said Hey Gary, this is Polette, I didn't call you just to hear myself talk, I was suggesting that you tell customers if the rate will fluctuate from night to night. Gary lets me know "You can call my supervisor Jason tomorrow and complain all you want." Lol, wow. This guy is in the wrong business. Or maybe he's burned out. I had no complaints about my stay.
