The girl with the long hair at the front desk was so RUDE on the phone and during the encounter with walking to the front desk per her directive to exchanged the towels. I have never stayed in a hotel where it was both a burden and requirement to the staff to walk to the front desk for towels, and where it was such a hassle to the workers to physically hand in the used towels for the new ones at the front desk in the moment (one child literally waiting in the bathtub for a towel to be handed to them since we had to run down to the lobby for the replacements ourselves after trying to call the front desk for over 1 hour in the phone before giving in to physically walking downstairs). I would've resorted to staying in an Air bnb with this level of service where it's more beneficial to bring our own towels since it's such a burden to the staff to simply provide towels to customers in this hotel. On another note, the pool was clean and a pleasant time since we had the space to ourselves. And, the breakfast was your typical continental breakfast spread with eggs, potatoes, toast, bagels, fresh waffles to make yourself, cereal, fruits and some other things. We probably wouldn't stay here again, but it served its purpose for this trip.

On the other hand, the mattress is an old spring mattress that should have been replaced some time ago, but it's serviceable. What prompted the review, though, was my trip down to the little store in the lobby. I'm a Diamond whatever with Hilton, and we get certain benefits at different properties. Normally, when I check in, the front desk will inform me of what perks I get at the property. They didn't do that here. I did ask, though, if I received the food/drink credit each day and she confirmed that I did. The credit is $10, by the way. So, I just went down to the little store thing in the lobby because I wanted a drink. Now, I get it - we're a captive audience, so to speak, so prices are going to be a little inflated because of the convenience factor. But... oh... my... gosh. A 20 oz. bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper- $6. A pint of ice cream - $16. I mean, it's the same ice cream you can get down the street at HEB for $4. Like I said, I expect the prices to be a little higher... but 400%? Absolutely ridiculous.

Overall for the value I felt like I got a great deal. Next time I am bear the border I would definitely consider staying here again. I found them on hot wire and got a pretty good price. You are close to several restaurants. You are also pretty close to the border in case you are in town for business. There is this really good taco spot near by called Ultimo Taco. First time staying at a stay bridge and I was happy. The work area for your laptop is nice. Good job stay bridge. I'll be back. Also they offer a free breakfast too. Which is nice. Yes, there was some noise from it...as well as some noise from the clubs nearby. Yes, it was audible on the 4th floor of the hotel. The view was of a construction yard and some.heavy machines. I now know this misrepresentation of their amenities has been going on for at least almost half a year now based on a Google review. We stayed there in late June. During our stay, we had to shower with really cold water for 2 nights. We let the front desk know about this problem the first night and they didnt look into it. We complained again on the 2nd night. They tried to give us a different room, but thankfully we checked to make sure the problem would be fixed before accepting it...it was not. So the front desk offered me another room...ummmmm....if the issue is present in more than 1 room, Im pretty sure its not just the room and you have a bigger issue. They didnt check anything until I pointed this out...turns out the water boiler exploded. I wouldnt doubt if they didnt pay something like a gas bill or if they failed to maintain their boiler. The front desk staff member said she called and texted the manager but the manager wasnt answering, so my complaint went unresolved and we had to get rent a different hotel for an hour t9 take a shower with hot water. The manager never texted the employee back nor called them and we had a long trip the next day. I asked for a manager to call me and I never received a call from anyone representing that hotel. I also tried to file a complaint with Hilton Honors program. How things have changed. Hilton doesn't value their customers. I understand that this is now the culture for this chain. Based on the experience above and the fact that its been almost 3 weeks and a manager has yet to contact us, and no reimbursement was made on the stay (or even the extra money we had to spend to be able to shower), I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel.

We arrived at about 10pm, the parking lot was very well lit. Alex checked us in super quick. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. This was the largest mini fridge that I have ever had in a hotel room. Having a microwave available in the room was also a huge plus. The free continental breakfast was good: Coffee, orange juice, cranberry juice, apple juice, milk. Waffles, toast, bagels, muffins. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, jelly, cream cheese, yogurt, bananas, apples. I read other reviews that mentioned highway noise so I was concerned, as I am a very light sleeper. I will admit that the AC unit was very loud. Loud enough that it drowned out any noise from the highway. I believe it may have been remodeled, since these pictures were posted as my room looked very different (much nicer). All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and wonderful. The lady (young Indian woman) at the front desk was extremely rude to me from the moment I checked in. She snatched my ID from my hand, shoved my receipt at me, and was generally cold and rude. We paid $105, or something close to that, for out stay. We were promised basic amenities that we did not receive. Upon arriving, we found the door handle was physically broken. It took us several minutes of messing with the handle before we got access. When we entered, I realized we had a smoking room. I have a sensitivity to smoke, so I called the office and asked for another room. The rude lady just told me there were no other rooms available. I checked online and it showed there were still other rooms available. I checked my reservation and it did say smoking so I must have messed up. It was my fault. So I accepted the room. I spent my time and slept in the room with a face mask. About 20 minutes in we discovered that the refrigerator didn't work. We checked power at the wall, the knobs, all was good. Refrigerator was just not working. I called the office, the lady said that maintenance was not available and that, once again, there was no other rooms to move to. No solution offered. I called again to report that the floors were sticky. We were told that it was normal because of the humidity. We then called back to the office to let them know the towels in the restroom were damp and that the AC was turning off (all lights would turn off for 2 or 3 seconds) before turning back on. It was as if it was shorting out. This was happening every half hour or so. She informed me that someone would bring me towels and that maintenance is not there. She again offered me no solutions. We ended up sleeping in about 80-85 degree temperatures. We waited an hour, no towels. Luckily my wife had a beach towel and we chose to just share it. Upon turning on the shower, the handle tell off, exposing either mold behind the knob. We informed the front office every time we found a new issue, and every time we were given no solutions. The owner wanted me to call him to "work it out" when I spoke with Mr. Patel the 1st time, he hasn't found out about the Priceline review or the email to corporate yet. He systematically went through each of my concerns and said I must be lying. He also informed me that the other people working there that was rude was his family. I don't know why the young woman was but the older woman was his wife. He said he would go up to the room and look into it and he would call me back never the less. The next day, he got a call from corporate because his demeanor changes. He claims I put the AC on heat, nothing was wrong with the shower, nothing wrong with the tv, and so forth. He then became agitated talking about the corporate call. That's when things took a turn: he accused me of lying about the rude front desk worker. He accused me a yelling and cussing at the lady at the front desk, which is an absolute fabrication. He said they did offer me another room which is comically false. He accused me of just wanting a free room which is ridiculous. His reply to this review will be much of the same. Spinning a tale of how I was the issue and not taking any responsibility for his poor workers or hotels.. I've never had a situation where an owner and staff would completely make up lies as a response. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. MR PATEL AND HIS STAFF ARE LIARS AND CROOKS
