Stayed here last week, we had asked for an accessible room and the lady at the desk assured us that it was accessible but it wasn't, no grab bars in the shower. Then our toilet got clogged so I called the front desk to have someone bring us a plunger, and she said "you can come to the front desk and get it here". Okay... well, maybe they were short-staffed. Otherwise, so happy there were no issues with the a/c because it was 115 degrees outside! Plenty of parking, quiet, and the best part was the breakfast at the restaurant next door. They had everything, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, juice, yogurt and more. You could tell the lady there worked hard to keep the place clean and tidy, and made sure there was enough food out for the guests.

There's not much choice of good hotels in Needles, but I would recommend this Best Western. McKenna the reception host was very sweet and got us 2 rooms right away when we came in the same day. The rooms were very clean and the AC was great in the 117 degree heat. The bathroom is small but adequate. The mattresses aren't the best but the sheets were clean. We enjoyed the pool area and the spa is now open. They played 50s and 60s music which made it more fun. They have an outdoor bbq too. The parking lot is big with plenty of room for people with boats. There is also a dog area. We will stay here again.

How can people say this place is clean. It's disgusting! They are far from clean! The smell alone just walking in should be enough for people to run!!! The face that the rooms are old dingy and simply just dirty is the flat out truth! There are hairs stuck to the wall! The headboards are worn out! Nothing about this place is clean! The only thing here that was positive is the people working here. They are actually really nice! Actually they make such a dirty place almost tolerable.

Nicely made, clean beds that were comfortable.

While this likely IS the cleanest hotel option in Needles, it is by no means worth $144-180 a night. Had it been $90-$110 we would have given it 5 stars. PROS: Friendly check-in staff, room is clean (no bugs, no sign of previous guests, did not smell musty or old, comfortable bed & pillows). Felt safe. Pool looked decent (but we didn't use it). CONS: No amenities nearby except gas - and it's peak price/gal. Other than a few fast food options up one or two highway exits, there is only a subway within walking distance. Although I'll give them kudos for attempting to offer breakfast during a pandemic - it wasn't quite the "full hot breakfast" (quote) the Best Western Reservation agent told us was included in the price on the phone. It's a lot of money to spend to lay your head down for one night just passing through. If you MUST stop (as scary as some of the reviews are for Laughlin Casinos up the river 25-30 min) for $40/night, and food options aplenty, you might be financially better off putting up with a little dust and a few dead crickets in the room.... and do the casino options. Harrahs has beautiful grounds and wasn't as bad as some reviews have stated. Starbucks inside. Did not see the rooms tho. River's Edge was a bit tired looking inside and smelled like a sewer as you walked up - but it's not horrible.

After a cross country road trip we almost kept on driving when we looked at other hotels in Needles, and then we saw this place which looked promising, although it has external entry doors. It was off the freeway so we gave it a try and we were glad we did. The row of palm trees in their parking lot was a welcoming sight- ah, California. We saw a train go by on the back side so we opted for rooms on the front which was no problem for the friendly, welcoming front desk. This hotel has too many manual requirements for the front desk to make it a quick check in, (filling out room numbers on slips of paper and telling you about the fine for smoking in a non-smoking room-duh), but she did it all with a big smile. Only one wi-fi device per room but at least the wi-fi works using the code provided on a slip of paper. Breakfast is free at a cute cafe across the parking lot, as long as you remember one of those slips of paper. The pool area is large, private and lovely. Rooms were clean, large and solid with no neighbor noises coming through the walls. No train or traffic noise either. I would stay here again.

Mini fridge and microwave. Pretty bleak. Also note gross carpet.

2 days before our visit we decided to read reviews on yelp and we were terrified! (6 months preggo…read moreand 3 very opinionated teens) When we walked into the lobby it was very clean, of course it smelled like smoke, its a casino for gods sake! Not super overwhelming like others had mentioned. The room and bathroom were surprisingly clean and very roomy! There was no hair left laying around in the bathroom as previously mentioned in other posts. The water pressure in the shower was great, however the shower head was very low. My husband had to squat just to get wet. The toilet was also very low which was a little weird to me. The room came with an iron, ironing board and a blow dryer. Our end table did have an issue with the drawer, it kept opening but it wasn't a deal breaker!! I just so happened to have tape and that did the trick. The temperature knob in our mini fridge was missing so it took us a while to figure out how to make it cooler. The ac kept the room nice and cool but it was very loud, sounded like it was struggling big time. They had a smart TV, we were able to access netflix, amazin prime and another service (i cant remember) The arcade was decent but was prob better for smaller kids. Our kids still enjoyed it. The family pool was beautiful with plenty of sitting areas. It was about 90 something degrees when we went but the water was too cold for me! The kids and my husband had fun on the slides they had. They don't allow outside food or drinks but they had a little bar/snack shack. We did have to pay an additional 15$ for an extra pool wristband. 4 were given for a double bed room. The private beach was very cute but we didn't really spend any time there unfortunately. The ice machine was working and was a short distance from our room. We got panda express pretty late in the day, the food was a little sad but it was expected. We were located in the central tower, maybe all the terrible reviews werw from different areas of the hotel? Who knows. Oh, there only seemed to be luggage carts for those who were parking in valet, that part kinda sucked. We were also a ahirt distance from a gas station, Mc donalds, Starbucks and a few grocery markets. Overall we really enjoyed our time there and will def be visiting again.

I chose this hotel because it was in a nice location, away from the heavy traffic, which was one of…read morethe few positives about our stay. The staff was hit or miss. Some employees were very friendly and helpful, while others weren't welcoming at all. Unfortunately, the rooms were terrible and clearly lacked proper cleaning. The room immediately gave me the heebie-jeebies. There were strands of hair all over the bathroom, the vents were caked with dust, the carpets were filthy, and the walls looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. There was also a strong odor in the room that management appeared to be trying to cover up with an overpowering deodorizer, but it only made the room more unpleasant. The sinks and toilets were dirty, the refrigerator barely stayed cold, and the air conditioner never cooled the room enough to be comfortable. The pool was dirty, overcrowded, and not enjoyable. The drinks were also extremely overpriced--$17 for a drink that definitely wasn't worth the cost. The casino was another disappointment. The amount of cigarette smoke combined with poor ventilation was overwhelming and gave me a headache. One experience that really concerned me involved my 10-year-old nephew. He hurt himself while we were at the pool, and when we asked a staff member for an alcohol pad, we were told they didn't have any. I couldn't understand how a hotel with a pool wouldn't have basic first-aid supplies readily available. After my brother found another employee, we were finally given two alcohol pads, but it shouldn't have taken that much effort. If it had just been my husband and me, we would have packed up and driven the four hours back home or found another hotel. Since we were traveling with our children, we decided to make the best of it. I ended up wiping down the room and bathroom with bleach wipes myself and told the kids to keep their shoes on the entire time because I didn't feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the room. One final thing that made our stay uncomfortable was the number of stares we received for being Black. I can't say what anyone was thinking, but we had several moments that made us feel unwelcome. Overall, this hotel was a huge disappointment and nowhere near worth the price. Between the lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, poor first-aid preparedness, uncomfortable atmosphere, and overall experience, I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Where do I even begin...?!…read more I arrived at the hotel around 10P, found a parking spot and walked to the front office only to find it locked, but with a "night window", which was fine. I rang the bell and a young man came out after a little bit. He had a friendly tone, but gave me a bit of a hassle, since the reservation was made under my supervisor's name, but with my name in the notes, which he didn't bother to check. After getting the key, an actual key with plastic tag, I walked upstairs to my room and was greeted with a stale smell in the room and a blast of hot air, hotter than the outside temperature. I was shocked at the size and cleanliness of the room, but I was here for work and would make it work. I immediately took the bedspread off the bed, as it had stains on the underside and who knows when the last time it had been cleaned. I turned on the AC unit, set it to 68° and it ran cold for a couple minutes, then shut off for a bit before coming on again for a couple minutes and going off. It repeated that cycle all night. To add to the noise, the Interstate is directly behind the building, the railroad track is a couple hundred yards in front of the building and a parade of transients strolled down Route 66 all night. The bed was stiff and all the springs in the mattress groaned every time I moved. The three pillows were nice, except one was completely flat, like an empty pillowcase, one was a plastic pillow and the other was just floppy. The sheets had holes and tears and were not fresh. The furniture was old, mismatched and didn't appear to be able to hold much weight. The microwave is too small to put a paper plate in and the refrigerator smelled like the previous person stored fish In it and left it after they departed. There was only one outlet that was usable and it was hiding beneath the "dresser". And then, there is the bathroom... The shower is tiny, with no lighting and the handle fell off upon touching it. In fact, I wasn't able to get the handle back on, so I left it on the ground. The floor of the shower hasn't been cleaned in a while, with dirt stains all over and rust covering the drain. The sink isn't anchored properly and has been recaulked a few times to keep it attached. The curtain covering the window was torn and the stick holding it up was broken, so it would fall whenever you tried to open or close the window. If you are trying to find a place on Route 66 that hasn't updated since before the Interstate was built, this is your place. If you are hoping for ANY nice amenities at all, look elsewhere. I searched high and low for bugs and thank god I didn't find any, but after looking at my pictures, you may be wondering if I just didn't see them on this visit. One more night here and I don't plan on EVER coming back!
