Team was rude and hung up on me when I tried to cancel on the phone they said they could process my refund but it took 24hrs for them to respond and tell me it was denied , if you're looking for a nice pleasant stay with staff and a place that truly cares about tourist or people who are there for work , NEVER COME HERE !!!! I spent the day hiking in the Mojave Desert, and this was a close place to spend the night after leaving the park. Sam and Nick were so friendly at the front desk and got me a nice first floor room quickly. I was hungry, and they recommended the historic Wagon Wheel Restaurant around the corner on historic Highway 66. (I drove, but I could have walked. This was a great diner with a big menu and happy customers. I felt like I was in a movie set. They open at 6:30am too.) I was so grateful for the clean room and slept restfully. While the owners were friendly and accommodating, the suite we stayed in was filthy. The bathroom was awful! The bottom of the toilet seat required major cleaning and the shower had hair and what we hope was mud on the floor. The floors in the rooms were sticky! And the shade on the single room alcove was awful, bent and folded, and lets in lots of light at sunrise. The bed had hair in it, too. I did mention to the manager/owner that the housekeeping was not up to par, to which I received a response about how the turnover of housekeepers is a huge problem. I guess I'd recommend management check the rooms before assigning them to guests; at least until they have a stable crew of housekeepers. read more

Stopped in for a night in the halfway point of my trip. Precious had a bad experience at needles but the staff was very kind. The room was very nice and clean, the bed was alright comfort wise. The furniture and aesthetic of the room was great for an inn. The lady who worked there was very kind to us in the morning saying to take extra food. For a affordable hotel that we had to find last minute with no reservation, Red Roof Inn provided everything we needed. A place to sleep, a parking lot that accommodated a large truck and trailer and a pet friendly room. Customer service was excellent and is what made this Inn stand out. The women at the front desk was very helpful, even let us choose which room we wanted out of what was available. It was important to us that we could see the truck from our window since we had many valuable belongs being transported cross country. Breakfast snacks and coffee were available but definitely not continental like you would find elsewhere. More like pre-packaged muffins and pastries for the road. Still, there were plenty of places to eat within a mile from here, including a restaurant in the parking lot that is also pet friendly LOL. We chose to eat at Jack-in-the Box though since we don't have them where I live and I wanted some of their infamous tacos hehe. The room was clean, had all the basics and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Our cat enjoyed the arrangement as well. Since the Days Inn & Suites didn't work out for my family last night my sister called this hotel that confirmed they had a suite with 3 beds Finally, a place that met our accommodations. The room cost almost $200 for the night and was very unsanitary inside for the price I paid. The room had hardwood floors (NO CARPET). after taking my son a shower his feet were black from the dirty floor. One of the bathrooms had BLACK footprints that were left in the tub which appeared the bathtub was NOT CLEANED. Two pieces of hair were stuck on the bathroom door oh and also the shower curtain was dirty (appears doesn't get changed after every stay) pics are attached. I was in disgust but didn't complain at the time since it was late and my only concern was the toddlers we had with us to finally shower and rest after being in a car for 8 hours. I was extremely tired from the drive and needed rest so didn't mention it to the front desk. For breakfast, all we had for a selection was ding dongs and ho hos. The whole place smelt like mold and there was visable mold in the room on all walls and in the bathroom. We found a few beetles so we had to sleep with the lights on. There was a piece of paper near the front desk ( in the same room) taped to a no crossing string that said you could only get a refund for the beetles if you decline before signing for your key card. But the lady at the front desk never mentioned it while checking in. If I could give this 0 stars I would! We came from a 7 hour drive through the desert In The scorching heat to a room we booked through Expedia after calling the motel to confirm the pet policy. When we arrived we were told we could NOT stay because we had 2 pets instead of only one. We had clarified in our questioning of the motel that we had 2 dogs and the woman said it wasn't a problem. The woman was very rude and aggressive insisting no one told us we could have 2 pets at her hotel. Here is the funny part: the place is a dump! We actually didn't want to stay after seeing the place in person so fortunately we got a refund and moved on. There was a tweeker looking housekeeper who looked very shady as well! Well where do we begin? When you visit the red roof inn website and they show you pictures of what your room will look like, don't believe it for one second. It's in horrible location. Everything around it is abandoned with sketchy characters wondering around. I stayed here for a week due to work and we were thinking about sleeping in shifts just so our stuff wouldn't get stolen. As for the room. The front door looked like it had been kicked in a few times. My little metal chain security latch had been repositioned a few times from being ripped out. You get a tiny tv. Your fridge and microwave are just stacked on top of each other on the floor. Dust and trash is visible in the corners. The towels were pretty old. The bed was really uncomfortable and the sheets had stains on them. They spray the shit out of the room with some kind of fragrance to make it seem like the cleaned it. I had to leave door open for at least an hour to get the smell out. Just a really crappy place to stay at But the family that runs the place are nice read more

Extremely rude and aggressive front desk employee (woman). We had problem finding the hotel , GPS X2 were giving us wrong directions, taking us to an open field with no lights. It was 9 pm. Finally after we arrived, tired and upset this front desk employee made it even worse demanding explanation why I'm upset. I didn't want to have any conversation, I asked to be checked in, but instead she became verbally abusive, removed her mask from her face and wouldn't stop yelling at me. Finally she refused to check me in after we already paid for the room. The whole situation felt unreal, I was never approached like that in my life by employee or even the owner of the business. We took a last minute trip and we booked a room online which made our check in super easy, from the moment we got there the onsite manager ROM was super attentive and friendly. It all started that we accidentally didn't put the right amount of guest for the suite that sleeps 6 people and with three beds. She said we only boxed for 2 people and tried to charge us a extra $60 for each person, but even when I went back on booking and check how much the price would of change if I switched too six, it only went up by about $60-70. She was extremely rude the way she talked to the guy checking in and gave a nasty attitude and walked away multiple times. The next encounter was when I arrive the next day to get a extra key cause she only gave us 2 for 6 people. She was again extremely rude, didn't even say hi, just gave me like a rude nod, indicating "what do you want?" type look. I asked for another key, I just arrived today as guest to room 207 and I gave the name of the person and even spelt it out for her and she didn't even give me a chance before she starting saying "NO NO NO I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO YOU ARE, YOU NEED TO LEAVE, YOU COULD BE ANYONE, NO!!!! IM AM NOT GIVING YOU A KEY NO! GO AWAY!" And she started to walk away from me when I said, can I FaceTime him? You've seen him and know how he looks, may I please FaceTime to prove that I'm a guest so I can get into my room? And she said "NO NO I WILL NOT DO THAT NO" And walked away and that was it. Don't know what the rooms looked like, as I set a reservation and paid then 3 hours later found out that I was not going to be able to make it to location called to cancel and the guy told me that I had to give 24 hours notice for cancellation. He said my only option was to contact the motel direct and see what they would do if anything. We searched and could not find a direct number. I think calling within 3 hours of reservation to cancel they would have let me but nope. So I lost 110.00 dollars that night. Its not about the money it is the principal. The two stars is for the lady who runs/was working the front desk. She was friendly, informative, and eager to be of assistance. We stayed here last year and the stay was great then - that's why, when we realized we'd be coming through here again we decided to stay here. It's gone downhill, majorly. There were cracks in the drywall in the bathroom, which was super small. The sink hadn't been cleaned - someone else's toothpaste spit was in there. The mirror was spotty, the luggage rack was rusted out. There was no cable for the TV. It was a smart TV, and several people had forgotten to log out before leaving...but no cable subscription for live TV. The beds were made and seemed clean, until we pulled back the covers and found hairs that weren't ours, sheets that were old and stained. And then there was the flooring. Hardwood/laminate floors are great for the desert - even preferable - but no one had cleaned them in at least a week. We were barefoot for most of our stay (all of 10 hours) and when we went to put socks on, the bottoms of our feet were dirty. Definitely not worth the $100 we paid to stay there. read more

There were crickets in the room, the sink sprayed us and drenched the floor when turned on, the sink filled up and didn't drain with floating crud in it so we couldn't wash or brush our teeth, the towels looked 20 years old and looked grunjy dirty, there was a missing coffee part on the machine so we couldn't have coffee, cigarette burns on the bed comforter and we were still charged over $150 for the night! .I'm giving this place a 4.5 out of 5 stars. As you can see, this place looks decelet. I guess from past "distant" reviews, I'm not surprised!!! BUT.... It's a pretty nice place!! The rooms have been completely renovated. With the exception of the old furniture, excluding the bed (felt and looked new), it looked like a brand new hotel...!! We slept comfortably. I know for a fact, that if I ever need a place near by, I will definitely stay here again!!! Oh and the service is great. The hotel manager (Rani) is a very sweet lady. Hotel.com had a mix up regarding smoking room... I loath smoking rooms...!!! She straighted it out without any problems!!! So two thumbs up for her professionalism and consideration!!! I almost didn't book this Red Roof Inn, because the price was so much lower than the others in the same neighborhood. On my trip through Needles a week earlier, I had paid three times the price at a chain across the street. But we were delighted to find this place. We wanted a clean place to stay for one night on a long road trip on I-40. The comfort level was just what we needed: clean bathroom, clean linens, comfortable bed with supportive mattress, and a working air conditioner *with no funky motel smell*! We weren't look for a place to hang out as a home base during a longer visit to Needles. I am rating this 5 stars as a great budget motel, not as the Four Seasons. I am sure the prices was low because they weren't spending money on the things I didn't need. The soap, shampoo, and tissues were the bare minimum, but the front desk folks had offered to supply more if we wanted. We didn't need any. The floor showed signs of a remodel in progress, but that caused us no problems. If it had, I would have approached the innkeepers to see how they would apply their No-Hassle guarantee. The innkeepers were energeticaly helpful and friendly. They recommended some places for dinner after we arrived, and they repeated that we should approach them with anything unsatisfactory about our room. We didn't try the free breakfast, as we were eager to hit the road, but the innkeepers happily filled my travel mug with coffee while we were checking out. read more

I don't even know where to start.. Lady at the front desk was not helpful at all. Language barrier was so heavy, that didn't help either. Rooms are 1/5 rating. Floors are dirty. Toilet wobbles and moves while you sit on it, shower head is about 4 feet high, you have to bend over to wash your hair. No room service. You have to practically slam the front door shut or else it won't latch and lock. I was in the shower when the lady at the front desk had come up to our room (not requested) to give us new keys because "they stop working in the heat", she knocks on the door repeatedly and did not leave until I had to leave my shower to retrieve the keys I did not request. She even knocked on our window and was shouting "hello". Lady at the front desk gave us the WiFi password, WiFi never worked. We confronted her about the WiFi issue, explained that it would allow us to connect while in the main office but as soon as you get into the room, it disconnects. She immediately starts with "well we've never had any complaints before, we have great WiFi, it works for everyone else". Okay... we are telling you that it is not working for us. She basically tells us she has no solution and walks off. Are you kidding me? Other than being pet friendly, this hotel has absolutely NO other benefit. I do not recommend. read more

This place I put in a reservation with Hotels.com. The add did not say they were going to charge me $25.00 for each additional person. So I drive all the way out to Needles and go ro check in. She told me to come back around three because all the rooms weren't done yet. Which no one was outside cleaning the rooms. Anyways, she tired to get me to eat there expensive pizza that was $20.00 for a medium pizza. I had already paid for gas and food earlier so I refused. She seemed offended. So I left, came back at three to check in. She asked for my credit card and I.D., then asked how many people. I retold her 4 because I got normally two beds. All she said was No! I said No what? She replies No 4 people. Only 2. I said but I got 2 beds 2 per bed. She again replies No! You have to pay for the other 2 people. $25.00 per person. So I replied no, that's too much. I already paid $220.00 for 2 nights and she was to chatge $50.00 more. So she then handed me my cards back and said I need to call them and explain. So I call Hotels.com again. They tell me she doesn't want to give me my money back. What she didn't know was I am a Gold member with Hotels. Com. So they returned my money and canceled there service. Too many times have they had complaints. Don't stay here. These India people are tight wads and never learn. read more

We stayed here while on our way home from San Francisco. This is a budget hotel in the three-star class of similarly priced motels we've stayed at. The room was clean and beds more comfortable than you'd expect. It was nice to have a decent size refrigerator and access to the microwave. The owner?/clerk was very helpful at check in. The owners have clearly put alot of sweat capital into fixing the place up, but their budget shows in terms of the haphazard decoration. The biggest negative was the heavy deodorizer smell. We left the window open, but the smell was over-the-top. As far as we could tell, there was no requirement for such a heavy dose of fragrance. We don't know if other units similarly suffered. While we commend the use of energy-saving bulbs, the room would be much more attractive if the bulbs were rated at 2700 or so lumens, instead of the industrial white of the current ones. Also, there was enough light to read by, but the bedside fixtures were not designed for bedside lighting. Surely there are other inexpensive fixtures that would do the job better. We would give it a 3-star rating except for the deodorizer. read more

So Its late at night, and we are exhausted. We cancelled a last minute booking with a hotel in Flagstaff, AZ, and found ourselves at this establishment and despite the negative reviews we thought we would give it a try... Nope. At 2 am the person on call, thought it was better to argue and haggle over online pricing, than book a room. While it wasn't his fault, that we didn't book ahead, the online prices were 62 dollars, he was will to give us a room for " $80" out the door.. no thanks we legit went maybe 4 minutes down the road paid 52 dollars , for a 3 star rated days Inn.. with a same check out time.. not trying to tell you how to run your business, but if it's 2 am maybe to boost your business match the online price.. after perusing countless other reviews, this is an ongoing problem. read more
