Booked a room 9/28 in Cullman AL, immediately upon entering noticed our shoes were sticking to the floor. Looked around and the beds had dog hair and flea excrement all over them, sheets were obviously dirty. (I have pics) There were 2 men sitting in a car outside our room that appeared homeless and several people hanging out (at midnight) just outside the room. Didn't even bring our bags in. Asked to cancel, they said to call the manager, I called corporate number, said it would be refunded in 3-5 days. 7 days later no refund. called corporate, given a case # was told it was canceled and should receive credit back on card in 3-5 days. It is 10/25, no refund. He has resorted to sending me texts now, so unprofessional and he agreed to give me a refund if I removed reviews and give him 5 stars. Reviews should have an option of ZERO stars. This is LITERALLY a flea bag hotel and the owner is unethical. At this point I'll pay a lawyer 1000 to get my $101 back. I don't recommend any Best westerns at this point because corporate doesn't back the customers but instead has told me the hotel itself has to give me the refund. read more

If you are specifically looking for a Best Western, AND you are about to fall asleep, then this is an option. Night shift was kind and accommodating, day shift was willfully in different (when told about the 3 roaches in our room, his reply was "I'll tell the owner", with an air of same stuff as always mentality. No apology just acknowledgment.) -Breakfast was layers of disappointment. -On the plus side the AC unit worked well, the water was hot, and the bed was adequate. read more

(This review is being written because of Ms. Lacey - the night clerk ) My stay was here was very comforting and relaxing. The night lady who was working - Lacey was absolutely the best. She made sure that we were accommodated and that me and my spouse were at the peak of our comfort level. The rate was stellar and Lacey should be the manager or get a promotion - her genuine willing to help along customer service skills were above and beyond. My husband stayed at this hotel while traveling with his brother, they were taking his elderly father on a trip since he was recently diagnosed with a heart issue. My husband said the room was def not worth $162.59 that they paid. Initially a couple was in their room when they tried to access it, the other couple had a key that opened both their room and my husbands room. So then on top of it all they accused him of stealing a pillow, they did not, the only pillow they came home with was my father in laws old pillow they had taken with them. They stand by him stealing, I highly do not recommend this hotel as if they give out keys that accesses any room doesn't seem safe to me. The receptionist was very argumentative and rude. read more

This has got to be one of the dirtiest hotels we've ever stayed at. After driving over 13 hours we just wanted a clean bed to sleep in for the night. We called several hotels only to find them booked. The guy at this hotel told me he only had 1 room available at the rate of &134.99 plus tax. After checking into our first room and seeing the hair.... I went to the office to complain. He was on the phone reserving a room for another customer to arrive shortly. WTF! After complaining he gave us a handicapped accessible room... not much better. I contacted corporate to file a complaint. If we hadn't been so tired and it hadn't been late, we would of left and drove to the next town. From now on we will ask to see/ inspect the room before signing anything!!! read more

Found a discount on Rakuten so saved over $25. Paid for room after driving most of the day. Just needed a place to sleep. Attendant was good. Shady people hanging out. There were signs indicating if you smoked In the room you will be charged $150. Many people must get charged cuz the rom smelled like an ashtray. But if you actually charge people then you SHOULD have a way of getting rid of the odors. It's all you could smell. I have doubts that the bedding was new but maybe the bottom sheets settled in to the markings of the mattress. Sometimes you pull up your pants and grin and bear it. Pretty sure I'll never have a reason to stay there again. Bathroom was surprisingly decent but towels were like sand paper. Breakfast was adequite. On the up side they did have Fox News on instead of main stream news. read more

This motel refused to let me check in due to a technicality in my Priceline reservation. I had called the hotel and asked at 10:30pm if it would be an issue as I was checking in after midnight. The clerk was nice and said she would let the night clerk know what was going on and it wouldn't be a problem. When I got to the hotel at 2:00am after 16 hours of driving, the clerk informed me I would not be allowed to check in until I called Priceline and corrected the issue. He was adamant that I would not check in and that that nobody had told me I could. Despite my attempts to reason with this guy he was going to follow the rules no matter what. I called Priceline and on speakerphone we both heard as I was told they would call me back in an hour and 32 minutes. The clerk continued to insist that I would need to wait until 3:32am for the return call. I was asked to leave after I continued to complain and question this man's intelligence. The Manager was no help. He refused to allow Priceline to refund my money. I ended up at the Sleep Inn across the street. read more

Very good hotel. Stayed on business for 9 days. Pros- clean rooms, well attended during the day. Very good breakfast. Very very good service. Great location(lost of food close that isn't fast food). Great room for the list price "crown moldings, pillow top mattress, 4 pillows instead of 3(and VERY nice pillows) flat screen tv, coffee maker, ironing board, hair dryer, microwave and fridge." Cons-needs an "update". No plug by the bed without unplugging the lamp or clock. Which means if your actually sharing both beds your phone is on the other side of the room (very inconvenient). Refrigerator was loud enough to wake me up. Only basic cable(being here for this long that is not great, and we have 23 people in 13 rooms) read more

This is a well run establishment. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and have comfortable beds, big pillows, etc. This is a nice place with reasonable prices that we have marked on our map for stays in the future. read more

Very nice stay. In room only a half hour and the front desk called our room to ask if we liked our room and if we needed anything. When does that ever happen? Very friendly staff. Room was very clean. Nice grassy area for our dogs. Nice, clean pool. Separate parking area for larger vehicles which we pull a trailer so that was fantastic. Would definitely stay again. read more

Stayed at this Best Western on 5/11/2015. Very nice room and good breakfast in the morning. Slept well, low noise area and the pool was well kept. Nice hot shower and plenty of clean towels and clean linen. Very close to many restaurants and local attractions. WiFi worked great and is free. Will stay again if in the local area. read more

An economical place to lay your head for a night. Not too impressive and breakfast during the week is a little skimpy. Bed is comfortable, so when you're tired and need to stop, this might be the place for you. read more

Worst hotel experience ever. I called 1 week before to book a room, gave my name, told the person I was a parent of our school and they had a block rooms for reserved for us and she said "okay, I see where rooms are set aside for y'all" I gave my credit card and the front desk person said, "okay, you're booked." I couldn't write down the conf# because I was at a football game that night. We were staying the night there for a CX event for my kid's school so a whole block of rooms were reserved for parents and athletes. I get there, and they say that my name was used to book the 4 rooms for the kids from the school, which was previously booked by the coach on her credit card and name days before. I also found out my credit card was used to book a room for someone else, that was totally unrelated to the team or parent group. The front desk manager, Sam, who seemed completely lost, couldn't find my reservation, even though my card and name were on file. He found those immediately. I waited for everyone else in line to check in, and once the lobby was empty, I asked Sam how this could happen and who was responsible. He said "brass tacks, if you don't have a confirmation number, you don't have a room. The hotel looked completely empty, so I know they had rooms available. I told him my two daughters were staying in that hotel, and I wasn't leaving them there, so I needed him to find me a room. Sam said none were available, but if I had a confirmation #, he could find me one. That's when he got belligerent and told me that he was refusing service to me, and that I was causing problems, and if I didn't leave, he'd have the cops escort me away. He was completely unprofessional, cursed at me one time and had this wild look in his eyes like he wanted to fight. All I wanted to know is who screwed up the reservation, why my card was used to book someone else's room, which has to be some sort of financial crime, and why my name was used to book 4 additional rooms. Obviously I called and made a reservation. After his unprofessional and aggressive behavior, his excuse to me was "we have new people working here and sometimes they mess up." He also said "it's a privately owned hotel, and he's refusing service to me." Luckily, we crammed together in that roach motel, with the team having to sleep double in the beds. We will never again stay at any best western and I have already contacted the corporate office. I haven't received any response from them. I will continue to track this and find those responsible for this mix up, who falsified my credit card, and I will tell everyone I know to never stay at a Best Western again. The customer service was absolutely awful. The personnel are incompetent and the hotel itself is trash. The front desk manager, Sam, deserves to be fired, due to his behavior. I felt physically threatened, he never once attempted to help the situation, and his first instinct was to blame someone else, and threaten to have me escorted out by police. Who does that at a hotel? A place where customer service is supposed to be first and foremost. This left a lasting impression on me that I won't soon forget. read more

Never again ! Air didn't work first night..there pet friendly,thats great but someones pet chewed up the air cord and nobody used the air to notice..then we did our owen maid service, there short handed..took out our owen garbage, bagged our owen dirty towels and went for our owen...3 days there and charged another day becouse we where an hour delayed...Not very nice people to us...Our Employer's put drivers in that place and i dont understand why?...RE. there are better places around there and much cheaper..so bottom line, never had our beds changed in the three days there, did our owen cleaning of the room then was charged another day over an hour an half,becouse we had to wait on Trucking company for paperwork...You would think the place would treat costomers better coming from a company that used them alot...Never will we Ever stay at another best western anyplace in the USA...I will stick to Red Roof, Better staff ,room clean everyday, and would never have todo it myself...and a muchbetter price...Never let a company call the shots on where they think u should stay...only gave one star becouse i got a bagle and coffie in the mornings there...still dont know what are bill is becouse the company takes it out of our paycheck...Just Not The way it should have been...Tammy Goforth....A Very unhappy Truckers wife.... read more
