The building is dated and have seen some improvements made to the business. But some desk associates and management are highly lacking in their efforts for proper customer care. The associates are rude and will treat guests as if they are a bother to them or not worthy to be in their establishment. Management, ha or lack there of, wishes to not be bothered by guests with complaints. Seems to not care about bad experiences of stays, and writes petty little emails saying "sorry for your stay. We'll do better next time. " Is that how you want us the customer to feel, like we are nothing and full of lies? All they care about is their money and not on customer feedback. In all honesty I don't know how they are still operating. Stained sheets, lack of towels in the rooms, roaches in the rooms, dirty rooms that looked like housekeeping didn't care, and children cleaning the rooms as well?! The manager doesn't need to be there and obviously the owner doesn't care that customers are complaining about Management and staff. I personally will never stay at this establishment. read more

Typical lower end Best Western. I heard somewhere that the plan was to move these properties either in to the SureStay brand or up into the Best Western Plus group. In either case, this is more a motel than a hotel, in that the rooms are external. The service was fine and the room was clean. read more

Management has gone down hill. I usually stay here when i am in the area visiting relatives, and have done so for many, many years. An okay property with a modern lobby. Rooms have been updated since I first started staying here, but more could be done. But, basically okay, considering the price. The morning (full) breakfast is pretty good, considering other hotel/motel properties, due to the pandemic, are limiting their choices are are resulting to paper bag "grab and go" breakfasts. Management in the beginning of my stays there was typically very friendly and attentive. I even once got a cell phone call from the manager while in route to inform me that my request for a first floor room might not be able to be accommodated, and that he was sorry, and that he would see what could be worked out by time I arrived. (My request was honored.) But, what has happened to the management? This time, on the second night of a two-night stay, neither of the two room key cards were working after we arrived in the evening, very tired. A trip to the lobby, after waiting for another guest to check in, resulted in the person at the desk (who I assumed was the manager, and who had checked me in initially the night before) expressing surprise that the key cards would not work. Lots of typing on the computer keyboard and the answer came back that the room was taken out of service. Then, just a blank stare from the manager, as if that was all that was needed to be said. I finally had to ask, why - and the response was that a guest in a nearby room had reported there had been a plumbing leak, and it was believed that water had leaked into my assigned room. No problem - those things happen. After the explanation, I had to ask what to do now (because that info was not volunteered without my asking first). I was told that I could take a look at the room, and if there was a water leakage problem, I could be assigned to another room. I asked why the manager had not called me on my cell (which I had made sure to leave as my contact number in making the reservation) to advise me that there could be a problem, instead of me coming to the room and finding that the keys would not work. The manager informed me that she was too busy and had not thought of calling me. So, after going to the room, and discovering that the leak had gotten into the room, it was back to the manager to request another room. Again, after waiting for a guest to check in, I stood in front of the manager. So, I asked to be assigned to another room. "Another room?" was the response. Yes - I had to explain that I was the guest who had stood before her just a short while before, and I had to explain to her why I wanted to be assigned to another room. I won't even get into the couple of times that the key cards I was given would not work. I will look for other accommodation options the next time I am in the area. Too bad. The Lindale Best Western was always my "go to" place to stay. read more

This motel is the worst one I have ever been to. There was a gap in the door and could see daylight. The air conditioner was loud and went from cold to warm. A maintenance man was at the front at 6:00 AM making all kinds of noises. I looked out the window and he looked right in. The road noise was awful. Not only will I stay at this one, I will never stay at a Best Western again. I asked the General Manager for a refund. Did not get one so obviously they couldn't care less about this motel. read more

Staff was nice and courteous. Room Smelled great and was very clean upon arrival. The only complaint was the traffic noise from the highway and surrounding areas. It was LOUD! You could here the trucks hitting the rumble strips all night. read more

Older motel. Not one of the nicer Best Western's that I've stayed at. The breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Not bad. Also had a waffle grill with a couple different toppings. Cold and hot cereal and the usual danish. We were there around 8:30 Saturday morning and the dining room was crowded with not enough seating. Schools out with lots of families traveling with kids. Kids were enjoying the outdoor swimming pool. The pool has a handicap chair to help someone into the pool. I thought that was awesome as we have a handicap granddaughter. read more

I should have known when I walked in to the musty smelling lobby of this place. The evening desk clerk was arguing with the night clerk about who should handle a broken tv complaint when I arrived and their mutual resolution was to hang up on the complaining guest. I have recently retired from a career that kept me on the road almost constantly for 50 years. I've stayed in a lot of hotels but none of them, until tonight, stand out as truly awful. Maybe it's because the room here smells musty. Like flooded years ago musty. Musty with a combination of old cigarette smoke. You can't open the windows to clear it out and the incredibly noisy ventilator only puts out a worse odor when you use it. Or maybe it's the drunks fighting loudly in the parking lot, right outside your outside facing door, at 3am. Or the dingy 90s hip decor of the room. So shame on you Best Western. Do you ever inspect your franchisee's properties? And shame on you Hotel Tonight. You used to be a collection of interesting places but now you are a dumping ground for everyplace, like this, that is so substandard that they can't fill up on a night when everyone else is booked. One star - only because they won't post the review with none.... read more

I stayed during an unexpected trip. The hotel is clean and well kept. The rates were surprisingly low for the amenities you get. The biggest thing to me was that I had my large dog with me and they were super nice about accommodating him. read more

My internship group stayed here just passing through and it wasn't great. One of the rooms didn't have a TV, one of them smelled super odd, and another found a live cockroach on the pillow. In the morning the cleaning man just walked into all of our rooms without knocking, which was super inappropriate. The guy working the front desk when we checked in was rude and acted like we were the biggest nuisance he's ever had. I don't recommend. read more

The gentleman at the front desk named Eric Bartley was the best employee I had ever had the luxury of being helped out by. It was way past midnight and I had to be at a baseball tournament and needed help getting to 2 different locations near dallas. I live in california so I was way out of my comfort zone. Not only did Eric print out the directions to both locations he helped me choose a place to stay the next couple nights. I could go on and on about the professional way he treated me but I have been to the Best western Lindale 3 times and will never stay anywhere else when in town.
