My husband and I have been living at this hotel for 4 months now while our home is being restored after storm damage. I've read some of the other reviews talking about the staff being unfriendly and I don't think this is an accurate assessment. They have always been helpful and kind. Some of them are more reserved than others but that's not a bad thing. They all seem to have a good and caring heart. For example: Dav is the man who works the front desk during breakfast. He is very professional though not as much of an extrovert as Nathan whom has received mention in other reviews. This week Dav brought to my attention that the hotel had not received the needed extension paperwork from our insurance company to reserve our room through September. He let me know that the hotel was booking up quickly for the month and knew we didn't want to have to move out. Because of his notice of this detail we were able to get our room reserved in time so we won't have to move out. This may not seem like a big deal but when a place has become your temporary home, believe me, it is. The best treasures are buried. Don't be so quick to judge or you'll miss it. read more

This is the worst La Quinta we have ever stayed at!!!!We checked into la Quinta in Lindale. The elevator was out and they were going to put us on the 4th floor. I told my husband no, we will get another hotel. So they put us on the second floor. I got to the room and it was like a sauna. 102 degrees outside, curtains were open and the AC was set on 78. Oh, but wait, it gets better. I had to take a shower, so I went and got the water going and there is pubic hair in the shower on the walls and the floor of the tub and dirt crusted outside the tub in the corner. Very dirty hotel. Bathrooms had chipped tiles, tub was dirty full of mold. They overcharged us for a pet fee and blamed their texting system for the overcharge. Called us and woke us up at 10:30 pm looking for their luggage cart. This hotel needs a complete inside renovation. read more

Our stay was wonderful! Excellent service by the entire staff. Everyone was very friendly and greeted you with a smile everyday. Our room was very clean. The beds were very nice and comfortable. Really Like that the room had a mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast was really good with Texas-shaped waffles, and the biscuits and gravy were delicious as well. A bit below usual La Quinta standards. Staff were excellent, friendly and check-in was fast. Room was clean, however, it was showing its age. Bathtub spout was leaking, tiling was cracked. Interior paint was worn and chipped. Carpet was worse for wear. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Bed was a foam mattress, pillows were some sort of synthetic filler from the 70s. Breakfast was OK, nothing to write home about. Unfortunately coffee cups do not have lids, so can't take a cup when you leave. We were traveling with our dog so there was an additional charge for the pet which is expected. Overall, it was OK, but needs a serious update and general cleaning and attention to detail. We stay at La Quinta often because it's always consistent. They allow our pet, there is always breakfast and the rooms are very clean. This La Quinta is definitely not up to normal standards. Our first room had no air and smelled so badly of mildew we immediately asked to be switched. The front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating and the next room had air but still had a very moldy smell. The bathroom was badly taken care of and had a lot of visible mold. The shower/tub faucet was pulling off the wall and wouldn't toggle between shower and tub period. I think it's time for this location to invest some money on improvements. read more

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Booked two rooms through Expedia (don't worry they're getting a review as well). Booked two rooms after driving many hours with 6 people. Arrive at the hotel, only to be told by the front desk that my reservation was for only one room. After showing them my reservation was indeed for two rooms. I was informed, "this isn't our fault, you booked through a 3rd party". Strike 1... The Night Manager then shows up and I get the distinct pleasure of re-telling my story for a second time now. I am now informed that, "we tell everyone not to use Expedia, Hotels.com, etc" for this same reason. My reply is, "why are you using them?" Their reply, "shrug". "Had you called us directly, this wouldn't be a problem!" I then proceed to ask again if this person was indeed a manager after once again failing to show any concern or take ownership. Strike 2... Tired, frustrated, upset kids... I ask if they have any open rooms. (Reminder we had 6ppl). I'll just book yet another room. I'm told by both employees of La Quinta that they are completely booked. With no hotel rooms in any direction for 30 miles, we cram all 6 of us in 1 room with 2 queens. Not offered rollaways, extra comforters, pillows, etc. Strike 3. I ask for the owner's name ( Mr Patel doesn't give that I formation out) I'm provided the number to the front desk. (Surely no one sees an issue here). I ask the morning manager for a refund. No luck... Contact Expedia... they are told by the hotel, "their was a miscommunication and in fact, there was a second room so no refund would be given. WHAT? So were you lying about there being an extra room for us to rent or were you lying about not having two rooms on my reservation? Long story, longer... zero refund from either La Quinta or Expedia. I'll be sure to spend my money elsewhere in the future and hopefully my review will save others from a similar experience! read more

Pass. This is not typical of a La Quinta I usually experience. Room smelled. Must be typical because when I asked desk clerk if she had air freshener she gave me choices from right there at the desk. Dirty, stained hall carpets. The advertised "full breakfast" was a joke at best. It was about half stocked- several empty containers. Many cracks in bathroom floor tiles and a very worn toilet seat. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the place was quiet. The WiFi was a little slow, but fortunately I didn't have much need for it. I was on the way to East Texas on business and looking to find a reasonably priced hotel, conveniently located, and with vacancy. LaQuinta fit the bill and I was pleased with my stay. First off I'm not one to leave reviews or sound like a snob about a hotel room for one night. While we were moving our family cross country we came across this place. I felt compelled to let people like myself know what they are getting when they stay at La Quinta in Lindale. We have never stayed at a La Quinta our norm is a Hyatt, Marriott or Hampton Inn. but with pets we were definitely ok with with something that accommodated all of us even if it meant something like this. We have 2 small children who were excited to see it sitting on a farm! Besides the cow manure smell it was kinda pretty. For starters when we walked in it smelled like a curry festival had taken place. To the point I felt nauseous. When we walked into our room it again reeked of a spice almost as if someone was cooking all day. (Not the yummy home cooked smell) That aside the room was held together with glue and tape, also gum (see photos) I was in horror when my kids touched the floor. We debated leaving but with the long drive we had just put in and the kids & pets ready to just get out of the car we didn't have choice. The bed squeaked with every toss and turn in the night. The place honestly felt like what I would imagine one of those hourly motel rooms to be. Anyway, it's next to a trucker stop so go figure. None of us showered that night because whats the point we felt dirty just being there. Needless to say we made it through the night. We woke up super early the next morning showered and jetted outta there. Lesson learned that night. Book in advance! read more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 weeks waiting on our home to get finished. We had our little dog with us. We had no issues and the staff was super friendly. Rooms very nice and clean. Very accommodating to all of our needs! I had to work remote and was there most of the day every day. The maids would come in and clean as I could allow due to my work schedule and did a wonderful job. Stephen at the front desk helped out in many ways and was super nice! A section of carpet in front of TV was cut out and I tripped on it several times because someone just cut out a piece of carpet in placed it in its place without any seem. The back door required no access card anyone could walk into the building, The chair looks like a cat has torn it up, The sheets looked like what was mascara ... Rooms are fairly clean. Not complaining about rooms.... However, management has put signs over all the vending machines saying out of order and to go down to the "24 hour mart in the lobby". Go down to the lobby to sign that says 24 hour market with the lights out and a locked door. Go to the front lobby to ask the poor teenager getting paid minimum wage - oh he is MIA, e-cigarette pipes and filters just hanging out on the desk. So no reason for him to go outside in 30 degree weather but alas he is out there, doing who knows what. And why should he care? His boss is probabgreedy not allowing people to use the soda machines located on each floor. Coincidence they are all "out of order" so you have to pay the hotel market for a coke?? Oh and another tidbit -- the lights for your security in the parking lot are almost all out and need to be replaced. And go figure the ones that do work are in the way back of the lot where nobody parks anyways. read more

Beware if you stay here!! My phone was stolen from the couch in the lobby by the STAFF. We were able to track our iPhone and the police found it at the staff's house! After I went back and asked the front desk if anyone had turned in a phone, they said "no". I can't believe how they could have done that. When I try to check in1 person and he was too busy to help me.. He was on the phone and asked me to wait after 2 phone calls.. I'd check in and my key does not work for my room. Not sure if I agree with some of my fellow reviewers. My family and dogs stayed here on the 30th December 2015. We just finished a 13 hour drive and we needed a good night sleep. The staff wasn't exceptional, but the hotel was centrally located right off the highway...far enough away not to hear highway noise. The rooms and hotel were well kept and quiet, which was great because we weren't woken up by our dogs every time they herd a noise. The breakfast was so so, but for the price we would stay here if we ever pass through again. read more

This is one of the worst La Quinta Inn & Suites in the country!!! As an "elite" member of La Quinta I always thought that the franchise kept on top of their brand. It was always a plus that at La Quinta I didn't feel penalized for traveling with my quiet, well behaved small dog. As a result I've stayed at La Quinta for years. This property immediately blew off my elite status and my room requests once I arrived with my dog. I was given a very sub par room on the1st floor. It was so noisy! In fact the whole hotel was very loud with paper thin walls and the ceilings especially. People trampled around late night and then again iin the earliest hours of dawn. The property was NOT well maintained. Not the cleanest either. The breakfast was not like the usual La Quinta offerings and had quite a bit less than even a regular La Quinta (not an Inn & Suites). There were even dogs in the breakfast room! Bet the health dept. would love that! I'll definitely stay elsewhere next time. This La Quinta is definitely below par. read more

Rooms are nice and parking is good. HOWEVER, if you plan on using their wifi, you're better off using a 56K dial up. Their wifi is slow and spotty. This is a MAJOR problem for me as I have to use the internet to do work. Thank goodness my work laptop has a cellular card in it and I can get good speeds. But, my iPad is worthless here. read more

Their service, the staff, our room, the heated pool, fitness room, wifi, complimentary breakfast..everything about this hotel was great! Rooms are small and the cleaning crew is terrible. Nathyn at the front desk is awesome, but he is just about the only bright spot. All other employees I have dealt with appear to be slovenly and only want you to quit bugging them as quickly as possible. LaQuinta is usually great, but this one leaves a lot to be desired. When we got to our room we noticed the couch was ripped up. We then noticed there was what seemed to be animal poop on the bedroom door. We needed a 2 room suite and they did not have any left. With friendly customer service, good security in the parking lot, and clean rooms and lobby, I couldn't ask for anything more for such a reasonable rate. - Very supportive of the military. - Good, hot, simple breakfast. - Exercise room simple but very adequate. - WIFI worked fine for my needs. I spend at least 300 nights per year in a hotel. Mostly Hilton and Marriott properties. We stay at Laquinta when traveling with our well behaved dog since they are dog friendly. Most all of them have been a good experience. This hotel in Lindale has the worse customer service I have ever experienced. We have stayed there on three occasions but we will have to find another hotel in the future. These people act like they are doing you a favor by taking your money. They do not greet you, nor smile. Also when they have about 10% occupancy rate they will make you wait until 3 pm for check in. Property is not maintained well and they provide these least amount of personal items possible. Bad, bad, bad. Luggage cart is held together by tape and would not roll straight, hallway smells like dogs and carpet is frayed. Extra price covered a separate room with foldout but the foldout bed is the worst I've ever slept on - less that 3" foam and sunk in middle. This is the best hotel to stay in when visiting in Lindale. The staff at the front desk said something nice every time we came in. We also spilled ice and water from our cooler while leaving and the staff got right to work on cleaning it up. I was impressed an employee would go out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Although we did not have enough towels or washcloths for our family of four, the clean room made up for it. After checking in and putting our stuff in the room, we went swimming in the indoor pool. There are no other hotels in Lindale that have an indoor pool so this was an obvious choice. The best part about this hotel is that it's dog friendly. We did not bring our dogs on this trip, but it brings a smile to my face when a hotel allows dogs. This is also the only hotel that is dog friendly in Lindale. Congrats on bringing the best two amenities of a hotel together that no other hotel can in Lindale. My first complaint is the hotel seemed old but there is nothing anyone can do about that except for renovation. My other complaint is the breakfast could have been better. Most hotels have more options for a free breakfast. Overall, I would come back when staying in Lindale. read more
