Totally surprised that for the price, I could have stayed across the street at the holiday inn. I should have read the reviews. The staff was friendly, the lady up front is quite chatty. The building looks like it's a refurbished old no-tell-motel. Doors and stairs are to the outside elements. I recommend getting a top floor room due to the 1/4" gap under the door. The folks outside in parking lot smoking and it goes right under the door to your room, this was semi fixed by stuffing a towel under the door. Comfy beds no bugs. Vending, ice machine and washer/dryer all outside in the alley way that goes thru the middle of motel. The shower was nice and roomy, surprised it was my favorite thing- water pressure was great! Didn't stick around for breakfast, just dropped the keys in the box up front. The area was a lil too creepy to venture around for food but we had to eat. Bad reviews were read on all the close fast food places. I'd drive a lil longer to bypass this area next time.

    Bed comforter.

When we pull up you look and see yes, it's an older place, but it looks pretty okay. The only reason it's getting 2 stars is because it was decently clean, but it doesn't have the others for good reason. We've purchased 3 nights stay and I'm only on the second, they've yet to clean the room, and have a sign in the bathroom as if they do. They're form of "housekeeping" is to come knocking on your door, and ask if you need new towels. Our trashcans have been full since day one, still yet to be replaced. The breakfast was decent, nothing special, just a normal motel/hotel meal. Not to mention we booked the handicap room and then had to ask for the handicap bathroom seat. This is the bed comforter, obviously looked like a child colored on it, and still being used. Definitely, think twice.

Good stay: everything clean, nothing broken, no drama, nothing loud or shady going on. Hotel with…read morean elevator and luggage carts, not a motel. Full hot breakfast (sausage, egg, biscuit, gravy, mini waffles). Bathroom didn't have a fan, but it wasn't a big deal. Shower was hot, strong. Guest business center and gym were small. Decent indoor pool (a little cloudy so did not try). Better priced than other similar hotels. Hot breakfast was good enough, saved us time and a little money.

When my husband tried to get clarity on a mistake they made, the manager arrogantly barked, 'Let me set you straight,' and was incredibly ignorant when speaking to my husband. We booked three nights but ended up fleeing after two. On the second day, our room keys stopped working. The front desk clerk had the audacity to tell us we no longer had a room because it had supposedly been cleaned for the next guest; despite my infant and I being in the room all day and having it reserved for another night. Apparently a different clerk had made two separate reservations for us instead of one. We added a third night and requested to stay in the same room, 1 King Bed, Suite. Moe assured us that it wouldn't be a problem. The following morning Alana, called to tell us we had to switch rooms because our original room had a tub/shower and the new one assigned to us had just a shower, an utterly ridiculous excuse being there were no visible specifications in the room descriptions. Furthermore we should been informed when we requested to remain in our current room. There was no price difference or any indication that the rooms were different despite being titled the same. We canceled the third night and left, thankfully our power was restored at our home shortly after! Ruston, LA's Sleep Inn should rename itself Sleep OUT. Two-star hotel, two-star service, zero professionalism, and zero common sense. Whoever gave this place two stars was being extremely generous; it deserves One at best. If other hotels hadn't been booked, we never would've stayed, and now we know exactly why their rooms were still available. This staff will run this hotel straight into the ground if they haven't already!

We have other people that needs to be here". Let me remind you, we had stayed for 4 days because we are going through things. The breakfast part is a lie, the pool part is a lie, and the respectfulness is a lie. Roaches were in the AC and toilet had a terrible scent when we first entered. Worst hotel ever.

The new owner, Kenny, takes such good care of the place. At first, I was skeptical of the $52 price tag for a Tuesday. But, now I see it is because the new owners have made alot of renovations and they are encouraging folks to come and stay here. This place used to be a disaster in decades past. Now, even the landscaping is well maintained and it is definitely completely safe now too! They have ripped out the nasty carpet and put luxury plank flooring in. All new trendy, comfy furniture from IKEA. Corian bathrooms and sink areas with new toilets, showers, etc. Rooms have microwave and fridge, but no coffee maker or hair dryer. However, there is a coffee maker up front, along with cereal and milk in the side fridge in the lobby. We stayed in room 127. It was right next to ice machine, vending machine, swimming pool and laundry machine. It was very quiet during our stay. In 85% humidity Louisiana, keeping the humidity out of the room while using the AC units is a challenge! But, the room AC we had did a great job of keeping us comfortable all night long. While BW, Holiday Inn and one other sit all right here on the same 4 corners, they're like $30-60 more a night and very little extra to show for it. I have stayed in that BW before during a family reunion and...yuck. I will absolutely be staying here again! Highly recommend.
