My husband, myself, and another couple just stayed at the Best Western Cold Spring from Fri-Sun. I was pleasantly surprised. Originally, we were due to stay in the 2 cabins that face Court Street, but they were not yet complete with the renovation. Kevin was great with keeping me up to date on the cabins' progress and when he knew they would not be complete, he put us in what I think to be the next best rooms. We were in room 19, our friends were in room 20. As you can see from my pics, the location was perfect. It was quiet and we enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs and talking with our friends each night. Keep in mind, this is not a luxury resort, but is what I believe to be probably one of the nicest motels/hotels closest to Plymouth waterfront. The landscape was impeccable. I was impressed with how clean everything was. The room was a perfect size with a t.v., mini-microwave/mini-fridge, flat screen t.v. desk/chair, free wifi and bath/shower. The only thing I would say is that they could use an air freshener in there. It didn't smell bad, or musty, but a little stuffy and it would've been nice had it smelled a bit better. Fresh Remote Control in the room which I had never seen. Complimentary Breakfast- Breakfast is served from 7am-10am in a small area off the office. If you don't find room in there to eat, they offer patio seating across the way from the breakfast area. We had plenty of room. Everything was very fresh, clean and tasty & the women that worked there were friendly and very busy making sure all was up to par. They offer, Make your own waffles/ English muffins/toast of different kinds/bagels/muffins/danish/sausage/eggs (or 1 day was an egg omlette type thing) salsa/cheese/bananas/delicious fresh fruit/yogurt/granola/oatmeal/coffee/tea/water/juices/hot chocolate. Pool/Fitness area: We didnt' use either, but the pool looked very clean as did the pool area. It is a nice sized pool. No hot tub. Location- This hotel is in a great location. You walk across the street and down another side street to get you to the Plymouth Waterfront. If you don't mind a 5-8 min. walk, it's perfect. It's close enough, yet not right in the center of Plymouth with the hustle and bustle and loud noise. We ate at Waterfront Grill & Bar and it was very good. Nice to sit outside on the top deck. Also recommend Cabby Shack which is right on the waterfront and outside seating available. You must visit Cupcake Charlies too! We will definitely be back. Every staff member we encountered was great! We loved it and had such a great weekend.

Could not have asked for a nicer place. Beautiful, very large room with free wifi, micro and fridge. Plenty of room for 4 adults to unpack and stretch out--even a recliner! Plenty of places to lay out luggage, toiletries, etc. The setting is absolutely gorgeous very new England and the buildings are set in a little compound nicely landscaped. Very comfortable beds. Great location very very accomodating, friendly staff--and free hot breakfast. Oh, and the price was amazing even in a peak week in the summer. Why isn't every motel like this?

Great bathroom amenities too. Conference rooms were comfortable, and the coffee, tea, snacks were just right. The lunches provided had great, healthy options. The rooms were great and the beds were super comfortable. Phil helped us with our bags and I enjoyed the little tour he gave us along the way. The bistro was tasty. Service was definitely hit or miss though, especially in the mornings. I loved the spa, I think they did a lot with the space. The atrium was my favorite and just a lovely spot to sit and read a book. The hot tub did get busy, but you could always find a spot inside and outside. I will say unfortunately I did not love my massage, but enjoyed everything else about the spa. It's small, but I wish they had actual hot mugs for the tea in the spa and the coffee in the mornings. A compostable cup just doesn't hit the same. We were there in May, I feel like this place would really shine in the summer. Although I do love all the fire places, feels very cozy for the cooler weather.

She was friendly, and accommodating, and all was as promised when we arrived. The hotel and room is clean, fresh looking, and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom spacious. The privacy window shade is particularly cute as it appears as if you are looking through a canopy of trees! Breakfast was your usual fair, but well prepared, & with strong hot coffee. She made our stay very comfortable. Gave us extra towels as needed. Answered any questions we had without sass. However, "Jackie" is an older white woman with blonde hair, not sure what her deal was or issue. She was not people friendly or had customer service skills. Every single time, I had to ask her something she had like an attitude in her tone and a scowl look. So I didn't know about how housekeeping works so maybe it was explained when I checked in, I was exhausted. I didn't know it's by request only. After the 2nd issue, I waited til I saw Mara again or anyone else. All the other staff are friendly here except Jackie!. Breakfast is included, however they should have meats for non pork eaters, just saying. Room was roomy and clean. They have a shower stall, no tubs. You'll have to request for all toiletries. There's a Walmart and stores nearby. ** as far as transportation: You're on ya own. I had to use foot power. And use Uber/Lyft. I had no patience to figure out buses. To get to and from Boston Take an Uber to the T station, KINGSTON line, and take it South Station. Overall, I recommend and comeback. But yall need to retrain the mean lady.

White Horse Beach would get a solid 2 stars from me under normal circumstances. It's rocks rocks…read morerocks, huge swaths of seaweed loaded with crab claws and fish heads, ice cold water on the inner arm of the cape and the town of plymouth has decided to be super douchey by not allowing parking on residential streets. "no parking either side" abounds. oh and there are no bathrooms which isn't abnormal, except that there are no nearby businesses to beg for toilet access, so plan ahead and wear a diaper. redeeming factor for WHB? July 3. on July 3 the town and it's super rich beachfront property owners host an informal Independence Day kick off. Fireworks legitimately start at 5PM, when the sun is still high in the summer sky and you're working on only your first corona. as soon as the sky twinges to cobalt the real show begins and it's almost like a fireworks showdown to see who has spent the most money and set off the coolest fireworks. All along the coast in plymouth you can see just hundreds of fireworks splattering all over the sky, and across the water in the marshfield area you can see other neighbors with the same idea. i'm not talking a few shots per hour, i'm literally telling you that from 7:30PM until 11:30PM there is an unending stream of fireworks exploding as far right as you can see and as far left. for a fireworks lover, THAT is the money shot. because it still gets so chilly on the water in the evenings, other families set up dozens of massive bonfires along the shoreline. They are gorgeous to watch and intensely warming at 11PM when you can't feel your toes or nose but want to stay for the fireworks finale. You can also barbeque on the beach which makes WHB pretty much perfect.
