UNPROFESSIONAL is the word of the day. To start off I stay at Holiday Inn Express locations all…read moreover the South, due to traveling for work. I am a loyal IHG member and have been for quite some time. Yesterday evening I arrived at the location in Magee, MS at approximately 21:30. I was absolutely exhausted from a long day of work only to greeted at the front desk by "Mary". I stated to Mary that I had a small trailer and there were no available spots in the parking lot, so I parked along the curb, and that I was well out of the way for other patrons. She immediately rushed around the counter and stated, "I will show you where to park!". After walking outside, she made several comments about my choice of a parking spot then asked if I had a reservation and if not, I should go to the Best Western across the street. Mind you I drive a pick-up truck and was pulling a ten-foot trailer, not an 18-wheeler!!!! I told Mary I would like to stay at this location due to have making a reservation the day prior, she stated "well you are going to have to park elsewhere". I then loaded my luggage back into my truck parked across the street at Bojangles. After returning to the front desk, I asked Mary if I could please check in. She was still not having it; she began to get very verbally upset and told me I was going to be arrested for parking next to the curb. Just to be noted that it was not posted by any signage nor, was it marked as a fire lane. After listening to her rant and rave I became very confused about the situation, I mentioned to Mary that I was a police officer for eleven years (truthful statement) and suggested that she became more familiar with the legal statutes and codes in her area before she threatens to have her customers arrested for parking in an unrestricted area. Mary did not like this and raised her voice and stated "Then you try it!!!! Try it!!!!" She then handed me my room key and told me to have a good night in a very sarcastic manner. Not once was I ever agitated nor argumentative and stated to her multiple time that I did not want to argue with her. Fast forward to breakfast this morning, I was greeted by a couple who witnessed the incident, and they expressed how insane and uncalled for it was. I was so thankful I was not the only one who witnessed the outrageous and unprofessional actions of Mary. I never write reviews and understand this is quite wordy but pay attention to who is behind the desk when you check in and if it is Mary, you are better off sleeping in your car at a gas station then dealing with her. The deal breaker for me was the prehistoric sized water bugs found in my room. We are talking 4 stomps and it's still moving sized bugs.... bugs that would survive a nuclear blast?! Check my photos you can see for yourself lol! I trapped one in a glass and showed the front desk, they said other than changing rooms there's really nothing they can do. Just search your room, those things might just decide to keep you company in the middle of the night!

One of the BEST parks I've ever taken my family to!…read more Its a fantastic park that caters to the entire family! Even if you don't own ANY camping gear, you could either buy it there on the spot or rent it! Everyone from the park is VERY friendly! Everyone from the park admin, to security, to Yogi himself!!! You all made our stay wonderful! They have everything set up for a great time with family! The lake is the main attraction to this area but there is SO MUCH MORE than that. You have your kiddy playgrounds, pool, miniature golf, boats to explore the lake, fishing, golf carts equipped with off road tires to explore the grounds, cabins, and THAT'S not even mentioning all the activities they have planned for all around the clock fun such as MOVIE times with snacks, KARAOKE, and so much more that we didn't even get to check out because ALL our time was taken up with park activities! And if your not in the mood for making food around the campfire, their a cafeteria and snack bar on the premises that you can refuel, cool down and enjoy some arcade fun at! :D Highly recommend this park for everyone! :D

Everytime you plugged something into an outlet, it sparked. This place is just asking for an insurance claim of fire. It rained the day we got there, and there is nothing but sand clay dirt of a mess. Need to gravel them roads to avoid just a mess of mud on ground. Patio doors had no locks so not a good feeling to be safe with kids on a lake. NO INTERNET AT ALL. I am not sure why they even have tv's in cabins to think it would work. Your phone hotspot won't even work there. Food was cheap but out of everything. Didn't even have sugar. The Kids activities sucked. Art class consisted of giving one sea shell and some wal-mart paint. Dance party was non-existant. Waterslide is not huge. It is just plasic down a small hill. Everything you do is an extra cost. The water park is fine if you do day pass but the price of actually staying there is not worth it. The staff (which are very younger) are actually very nice and trained to say, I'm sorry, very well. so kuddo's on that piece of customer service! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Jenny and John LaPan have created a beautiful and every-detail-considered accommodation in the middle of Laurel's historic housing district. The rooms are impeccably appointed, chef Erica's breakfasts are gourmet delights and the B&B's grounds are beautiful. The new swimming pool and hot tub are gorgeous and inviting. Jenny's Hideaway has one ensuite on the main floor and 3 rooms on the second floor, two of which are en-suites. There is also a 3-bedroom/2-bath cottage on the grounds, with full kitchen, perfect for a family getaway. Jenny and John are both so friendly and personable, ready to accommodate any questions or issues. The small touches are wonderful: essential oils and bath salts for the soaking tub, a generous supply of thick, luxurious towels, a clothes steamer, steps to get into bed. We really enjoyed Jenny telling how they took a falling-down house and created the jewel that is the Jenny's Hideaway we enjoy today. Jenny is a native of Laurel and worked around the country in the hospitality industry before moving home to Laurel. She knows the town history and her neighbors. She also made it clear the current town celebrities, Ben and Erin Napier, are truly the friendly, accessible hometown neighbors they appear to be on their show. We actually stayed at Jenny's "by accident" when we arrived in town to find the hotel we had booked could not check us in because of technology issues. We found Jenny's in an online search and she welcomed us so graciously. We had no idea we had landed in the lap of luxury.

Even homemade pound cake. This place is fabulous. Laura Landry Flower Mound, TX
