3/28/26 Since 2016 we have stayed at this Best Western several times. We always give our BW account number. Always leave a nice review. Never once have we caused any damage and never once have our two 4 lb miniature Chihuahuas made a mess. I'm sure if they had, it would be recorded somewhere on our account number records. In the past we've always been charged just $25 for the pet fee AS IT SAYS ON THEIR WEB SITE: "Pet fee $25". NOT $25 PER PET. We were forced to pay $25 PER dog. $50 total. My husband told the young man at the desk this and nope, it is $25 per dog come heII or high water because his boss told him he has to charge $25 Then we get to the room and there's a placard stuck to the mirror stating all the fees guests will be charged if anything is stolen or damaged. I took pictures of EVERYTHING before we left so I would be able to prove my innocence, as I had a feeling that people so interested in money would have no problem trying to charge me for broken or damaged articles that were all left in perfect condition. I've included only a few pictures here, but I want the owner, Ricky (last name unknown by receptionist), to know that I have photos of all 4 pillows, two dingy and thin, tiny bath towels, two thin dingy face towels, two dingy wash cloths, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, dingy bath mat, sheets, duvet cover, both garbage cans, TV, remote. EVERYTHING. It's a shame that the owner of this hotel is concerned enough about charging outrageous fees that he prefers to lose a long standing guest. WE WILL ***NEVER*** STAY AT BEST WESTERN POST AGAIN, but you guys enjoy that $25 ok? read more

My road trip from Houston to SLC, Utah became an absolute nightmare. My boyfriend decided to flush the coolant in my truck prior to my departure. He filled the gas tank, changed the oil, and topped off the fluids. A few short hours in to my journey and my truck overheated. I tried everything I could to burp the lines to get the air out of the system, but, to no prevail. So, my last ditch effort was to stay at a hotel. I spotted a Best Western with a large parking area for trucks...perfect!! I walk in to a very clean lobby and am immediately, warmly greeted my Ms. Katie, who is an absolute Angel!! She, regrettably informs me that there are not any rooms available, and apologizes, but, there is a rodeo in town, and, unfortunately, Parents Weekend in Lubbock, so, my ability to find a hotel room, would be slim to none. After discussing my mishap, she went out of her way to find a 24hr mechanic, but to no success. She then offers to follow me to Lubbock to assure I get to another hotel or the dealership safely!!! Talk about customer service!! She allowed me to utilize the restroom and anything else I needed so I could recollect myself and come up with another game plan. She recommended a great restaurant so I could get something to eat, and it was a fantastic recommendation. They have a vending machine filled with Coke, Dr. Pepper, and an assortment of Gatorade's. I honestly cannot remember if they offer snacks, but, that would be the only downfall to the hotel. I just want to give the fabulous Ms. Katie accolades for being such an exemplary employee and making me feel welcome and safe in the midst of mishap...my two dogs were with me as well adding to the stress, but, Katie was able to calm me down enough, so I could come up with another game plan!! 19.5 Mbps wifi. Secluded location, 18 wheeler parking, south bound only, clean establishment with direct Tv, having limited channels. Room is large, desk, chair with ottoman, refrigerator, microwave, single serve coffee pot. Single room has a queen size bed, a very cheep bed, can feel every individual spring. I asked for a photocopy of my receipt when I checked in, hostess would not comply. To make a photocopy... No other close establishments, no food delivery, no convent stores or food marts within a reasonable walking distance. Last month, on a move from California to Austin, Texas our family dog was lost 50 miles north of Lubbock and after two days of exhaustive searching for him, we unfortunately found him dead on the side of the road. Naturally, we were in no shape to drive 7+ hours to Austin, where we needed to meet the moving trucks the next morning. Instead we opted to drive about 100 miles and stay at the Best Western in Post, TX. We were a caravan of two cars with my wife and I, our three year old daughter and an elderly woman. My wife, child and the grandmother checked in ahead of me getting there. On that check-in, the front desk was supposed to mention the "boil notice" - which means you can't drink the water without boiling it first. This is likely due to all the fracking activity in and around Post. To make matters worse, they also didn't offer us any clean drinking water. The next morning, while checking out, my wife noticed the small sign at the front desk about the boil notice. When she spoke to the manager, her reply was "everyone in Post knows about the boil notice". Great. We've never been to Post before. How on earth would we know? Needless to say, she was pretty rude. I had already left the hotel at 4am to meet the movers in Austin. My wife called me to tell me we had all been drinking water contaminated with bacteria all night. I became very angry and called the hotel and spoke with (likely) the same manager. How do I know? Because she was extremely rude and told me "well, if your wife could read signs, we wouldn't have had this problem!" Seriously? Is that how to you treat customers? Especially customers who are in a bad way like we were. And customers with small children no less. We decided to take the matter up with Best Western's corporate office. After a couple of days they came back to tell us that the front desk girl who did not alert us to the grey sewage water we were drinking or offer us clean drinking water was fired. That's nice. I drove back up that way 5 days later to go and pick up my deceased dog's carcass and stopped by the Post Inn to maybe talk about getting the two rooms we purchased refunded. It would have been the "cool" thing to do. I did notice that the hotel had the boil notices on the doors entering the facility and all throughout the lobby. I was not able to speak to someone who could help me at that time but I was somewhat happy that at least they were disclosing the situation upfront. After a few more calls to corporate they told us that each hotel is independently owned and operated and if we wanted a refund we had to take it up with The Post Inn. So we want back to them and once again they were rude and denied us our money back because allegedly we spilled wine on one of the bedsheets. I gave all parties involved plenty of time to do the right thing. But now I'm here to tell my story. We live in a world now where the customer IS always right. I think especially in the case where we ended up drinks water that had dangerous bacteria in it. The manager of the Post Inn clearly does not care about the well being of their customers. If I were you, I'd find another place to stay far, far away from this town with the dirty water. read more

We stayed at this hotel on our trip to Rosewell, NM for a day. It was nice, brand-new, clean ... Also I liked it being West Texas-themed. But we needed more towels. There were just only two towels... They should place more!!! The only complain might be the harsh odors coming from possibly the oil wells. read more

Very friendly staff, so they're getting 2 stars not 1. Terrible layout though - the SUPER LOUD icemaker is RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR of two hotel rooms (105 and 103 - it might be the same on the second floor). These two rooms should be heavily discounted, because if you come to the hotel to sleep and end up getting one of these rooms, sleep is NOT going to happen. They should redesign and use part of room 105 for a vending room instead of having the vending & ice machines in the hallway, because 105 is basically useless as it is anyway. It's also right next to the breakfast area, AND right across from the housekeeping headquarters. I really wish they'd warned me or asked more questions about preferences - I arrived at 1:30 AM, you'd think they'd know to not put me in the loudest area of the hotel (they weren't even close to sold out). The air conditioning unit is also very loud, and didn't work very well. It said 63, and it was definitely warm in the room. Oh, and ditto what another reviewer said about towels in the room - there were no hand towels, only two washcloths and two regular towels, all ratty-looking and some stained. Come on. If you're going to charge rates of a hotel, not a motel, you gotta step it up. read more

We booked this hotel over the phone while traveling. We chose the King Suite which cost a bit more but are usually more spacious and quieter. When we arrived we checked in and got our room keys and found our room, which was room 102, which was a corner room closest to the highway, right at the front corridor door, next to the front driveway. In the room next to 102 we could hear children screaming. Our door keys wouldn't open the lock, so I went back and requested a room change. The clerk politely found us a downgrade double queen room upstairs. At 3am and again at 4am people were coming and going, shutting doors and talking in the hallway. Any traffic in the halls or rooms will likely wake you up. In the morning we tried to eat the continental breakfast but there was no hot food (the standard eggs, sausage) all the serving warmers were empty. So there were 5 people lined up to cook themselves a pancake. And no fruit. But if you want cereal, they had cereal because no one eats cereal. But the hotel and room itself was clean and modern. I give it a 2 because i figure breakfast is worth 10.00 of the room charge, and if they can't provide breakfast they haven't provided what they promised. read more

This place has potential to be a good hotel but the operation is mediocre. My review is based on a family group stay for 2 nights where we had 4 rooms. On the positive side the common spaces and rooms were clean and nice looking. A hot breakfast is included that was satisfactory and the breakfast area was clean and organized. Several of the rooms had maintenance issues. In one room the air conditioner did not work properly and cycled continuously making annoying noises. Two other rooms had dripping tubs. When the rooms were cleaned after the first night the towels and bathroom supplies were not replaced. With better attention to maintenance and service, the hotel could be quite nice. read more

Tired and hungry we stumbled upon this gem in Post Texas. The room provided amenities above our expectations! Bed very comfortable and cleanliness amazing. The front desk staff was gracious and accommodating. The price was right. Our next road trip from Austin to Colorado we will stay again at BW!!! read more

Spent 2 nights back in November and no rooms available this past month that I visited but best hotel in Post, quiet & calm. Good variety of channels on their tv & clean hotel. Breakfast is pretty good.. pancakes, egg, sausage, cereal, milk, juices, muffins & coffee. Will def be staying there every time I go to Post, Tx & will be making reservations from now on. read more

We stayed at this hotel on sat night 9/12 arriving around 12mn. Our room was directly located over the front entrance, front desk and staff entrance to the kitchen. We were woken up at 4:30am by continuous door slamming from these entrances. I called the front desk at 5:45 to complain and they had no resolution except to call at 7:30 and speak to Jessica the manager. This room needs sound proofing and all doors underneath need springs and quiet closing devices which are an easy fix. We asked Jessica for either a discount or refund and she stated she could do neither. She was very rude and disrespectful when I asked to speak to her supervisor or owner. She said "I'm not giving you that phone number"! She did not offer to take our names or phone numbers to relay a message. I have over 30 yrs experience in customer service and this room situation and rudeness should not be tolerated. This could have been handled better. read more
