We drove to Deluxe Inn after having a bad experience in Clovis. Deluxe was open late. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Wow wow20 foot ceilings in this Historical Hotel B&B with variety of antique furnishings throughout…read morethe rooms lobby and hallways. So much rich culture of times past. Original wooden floors as they creak as you walk across the floor. Most rooms have carpet in bedrooms and tile in bathrooms so no creaking in most rooms. I was the first customer of day when I journeyed upon this tiny town of Post (CW Post the cereal guy) into Garza Hotel B&B. The kind lady at desk let me know all the rooms are open and each room key on side table .... I could go look to see how decor of each rooms' motif. Three rooms with King size beds downstairs and 8 + rooms up stairs have numerous size beds in vintage style rooms. Library that is rich with dark woods And books on shelf's. Located as you climb stairs before turning to second floor is a door that leads to library and a small dark wooden veranda that over looks dining and entrance of library. Large windows that look out to garden area of Hotel B&an. Very nostalgic !! Home cooked breakfast at 8:30-9:15am each morning. See photo. Bacon was delicious along with whole wheat bread toasted and scrambled eggs. Coffee or tea available along with juice, yogurt, fruit if the day or cereal. Room Prices are really very reasonable. Hospitality is kind and helpful. Questions just are folks are very willing to share their thoughts or information on their town of Post. Cheers! Wonderful and memorable stay at Garza Hotel B&B.

The bedroom was cozy with B+ for cleanliness. The chandler in the bathroom is a fun touch! We enjoyed hanging out in the library and outside area. The breakfast was eggs, bacon and toast. All tasty with better than average coffee. The city smells a west Texas Town with smell of money all around. We love restored old buildings and hotels. This is one we are glad we stayed at.

Never once have we caused any damage and never once have our two 4 lb miniature Chihuahuas made a mess. I'm sure if they had, it would be recorded somewhere on our account number records. In the past we've always been charged just $25 for the pet fee AS IT SAYS ON THEIR WEB SITE: "Pet fee $25". NOT $25 PER PET. We were forced to pay $25 PER dog. $50 total. My husband told the young man at the desk this and nope, it is $25 per dog come heII or high water because his boss told him he has to charge $25 Then we get to the room and there's a placard stuck to the mirror stating all the fees guests will be charged if anything is stolen or damaged. I took pictures of EVERYTHING before we left so I would be able to prove my innocence, as I had a feeling that people so interested in money would have no problem trying to charge me for broken or damaged articles that were all left in perfect condition. I've included only a few pictures here, but I want the owner, Ricky (last name unknown by receptionist), to know that I have photos of all 4 pillows, two dingy and thin, tiny bath towels, two thin dingy face towels, two dingy wash cloths, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, dingy bath mat, sheets, duvet cover, both garbage cans, TV, remote. EVERYTHING. It's a shame that the owner of this hotel is concerned enough about charging outrageous fees that he prefers to lose a long standing guest. WE WILL ***NEVER*** STAY AT BEST WESTERN POST AGAIN, but you guys enjoy that $25 ok?

It would have been ideal to air the room out, but unfortunately, the only thing to open was the door. Or you could run the air conditioner if you wanna call it that or was it just a noisemaker? A complete lack of ventilation in this room thus no way to bring in fresh air. The cigarette burns in the bedspread were well hidden, but still existed. The long strand of hair that definitely belonged to someone other than me on the pillow made me question who else was there (since I'm bald I ruled myself out). And then the stain on the sheet, but at least it didn't appear to be fresh. I'm really struggling to find something positive to say. The place could just stand a complete renovation and freshening because it was tired and then some.

I asked the woman if there was a restaurant nearby, and she recommended one that was already closed. I went to McDonald's and when I returned and entered the room, there were bedbugs on the bathroom floor. I took pictures and went to cancel the reservation. Very angrily, she told me there would be no refund. I told her I had only been inside for a minute, but she insisted that more than an hour had passed. Very annoyed, she went to check and then told me they weren't bedbugs. She stormed off, arguing and claiming that we had already used the service and that she wouldn't give me a refund. For me, it's theft because not even 30 minutes had passed since I checked in. I decided to leave.
