We were moved here from Aikens Lodge where the tvs were not working. Room was fine but there were dirty wet towels left in the bathroom. Nighttime desk women were very welcoming. The morning woman was not. Once she found out we moved from Aikens she waved her hand dismissively and seemed uninterested in helping us. Note: NO MICROWAVES in the rooms. We were on the last days of a week long trip in Utah and didn't want to spend all day long driving back home. So Kanab was a perfect place to spend the night to break the trip in half. The room was a bit pricey but it made sense because we happened to arrive on the day the Balloon and Tunes festival was happening. The room was big, clean and had comfy beds. The staff was friendly and was helpful when I called to complain about the loud grandma staying next door. The breakfast was delicious, and plenty of different options. Looks more like a motel on the outside but the interior hallways look like a larger hotel's. The bathroom inside the bedroom is larger with a large enough space to open the door while you're in the toilet. Dial shampoo, conditioner and body wash are on mounted wall dispensers. Queen beds seem a bit smaller. Might be a full? There is an outdoor pool kinda in the middle of the parking lot. The ice machine is also outside in an enclosed area beside the pool. This Best Western is cheaper than other Best Westerns in other cities/towns. Kanab is a super quaint tourist town with tons of pokemon stops, lots of signs along the sidewalk showcasing historical buildings and fun historical facts/trivia/tidbits encouraging you to walk around the town. Complimentary breakfast is served in what the super friendly front desk ladies fondly call "The Dungeon". The oatmeal was a bit watery but customizable. There are plenty of fruits and yogurt. Pastries and warm savory items are also available. The super friendly front desk ladies also gave us great restaurant recommendations. GREAT WIFI. Every hotel we used during our road trip offered free WiFi, but a lot of them have bad signals rendering the wifi virtually useless. read more

Older style hotel that should be reclassified as motel. Our room was located at one of satellite building with room entrance facing the small parking lot. Room badly needed an upgrade. No ice machine or vending in the building, so outside trekking was needed. Free breakfast was below average. Coffee was just warm and weak. While we were eating breakfast, the food supervisor was yelling at her co-workers. Two stars for the friendly front desk workers and the fresh baked cookies they gave us. read more

Wow! For the price I was slightly unsure of what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised!! The first thing that you need to know, though, is that there are three buildings. One has an elevator, one does not and I have no information about the third. If you need a room that has no stairs to access it, ASK for one when making your reservation. The double queen room was large, extremely clean, comfortable, well decorated and bright. There are ceiling lights and floor and table lamps. The extra table has charging ports and plugs, the table lamp has plugs and of course there are standard wall plugs. Free and fast wifi. The closet and sink share an area with a mini fridge and small coffee maker. There is a sky light in the "L" shaped building on the second floor, in this area. There are also lights above the mirror. The bathroom is tiny. A toilet and shower only. No tub. There is an outdoor pool with a vending area, laundry ($2 per load in washer and the same price for the dryer), free breakfast and an EXTREMELY awesome front desk reception! read more

This is not a great pick. Service is poor: I stood for 10 minutes at the front desk calling for someone to respond to my arrival. Finally, a harried woman came out from somewhere (I presume she was dealing with another issue somewhere else) and checked me in. The room was stuffy and the unit old, with some light fixtures not working. The carpets were dirty (when you walk into the bathtub with your bare feet and black dirt comes off you know they haven't been shampooed for a while). The fixture controlling the shower head didn't work right. Parking was difficult to find and the layout of the lot to the hotel means your in for a bit of a hike to your room if you are on the second floor. The price was $99.99 for a king non-smoking room. We got a room next the the stairs: people were stomping up and down all night long. The unit next to us featured a family with several young kids crying all night long. The complementary breakfast was non-existant and there was no one behind the front desk to ask about it. If you have choice, don't pick this place. read more

When we drove up to this hotel to check in, we were greeted by a parking lot full of hootin' and hollerin' bikers. This was NOT a great way to begin what turned out to be a pleasant, quiet stay. Hotel management would be well-advised to send security into public areas and make sure that things are quiet and professional, because we very nearly asked for our money back before we even settled into our room. Once it got dark outside, though, everything settled down for a nice, quiet stay. The hotel has a large workout room and, inexplicably, a huge unused banquet-type area in the main building. This is an older property that is in need of some updating and TLC, but our stay was uneventful. One thing I'd like to point out: When it came time to check out, there was nobody at the front desk and this hotel does not want guests to leave keys behind. We had to wait 5-10 minutes for the desk clerk to grace us with her presence, and even then, there was no apology for the delay. Service matters, Best Western, and that was no way to treat a customer. read more

This hotel is a little gem! We stayed here for three nights while exploring nearby Bryce Canyon (90 min) and Zion National Park (30 min), and we would definitely stay here again. The hotel is set along the main road and is within walking distance of several cute restaurants and shops. The hotel room was clean and recently updated and had all the amenities you'd need. The front desk staff was friendly and extremely helpful. There's a little coffee and water station just off the lobby, and then a huge dining area with an adjacent game room downstairs in the main building. It had ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and pool tables, and a TV, the perfect space for our group of seven teenagers to hang out in the evening. They also found the hot tub area, which included a grill and outdoor seating, to be a great hangout in the afternoons and evenings. The free breakfast was awesome and included hot items like sausage and eggs. They even had a PANCAKE MACHINE that, at the press of a button, would make two perfect pancakes! It was the coolest thing I've ever seen in a hotel breakfast area. The coffee came out of a fancy machine and was piping hot and exceptionally decent for hotel coffee. We made use of the laundry facilities during our stay, which are coin-operated at $4 per load ($2 to wash and $2 to dry). The front desk was nice about exchanging bills for quarters. The machines worked well. All in all, we would definitely stay here again! read more

Excellent Breakfast! Nice hotel in a good spot. Lots of good stuff on the breakfast bar like pancakes, eggs, oatmeal with coconut, brown sugar, raisins and such to top it off. Nutella and peanut butter for your bagel too. Guess you can tell what's important for me! The room was updated and all the goodies were included like a little coffee pot and coffee, an iron and hair dryer. The only issue was that the toilet ran all night. I didn't want to mess with it because I was tired from driving so I didn't call the desk. I turned off the water to the tank and slept like a baby. Check out the parking situation if you're pulling a trailer as it can be tricky. read more

Would have given this place a one star but the staff at the check in office was really nice and kind so I settled for 2 stars. 1.) My family of 4 stayed a total of two nights here. The room stenched of a nursing home. After our first night, my dad left a tip underneath his pillow for the housekeeping. We returned in the afternoon to find the bed sheets and linens sloppily made. I believe the housekeeping didn't even bother switched the linens for clean linens because the pillow my dad left the tip under wasn't even properly propped up and the tip was still under there. I woke up itchy and covered with bug bites the next day. 2.) On our 2nd and last morning here, we went down for the complimentary breakfast. The date was May 17th in case in corporate Best Western or the managers at this hotel want to check who was working the breakfast. The lady manding the breakfast and restocking breakfast items was walking around with a glass vase asking for tips. My family and I were still eating breakfast and she came up to my family and shoved the tip vase in my face and asked for a tip. I was stunned to even hear her have the audacity​ to think she deserved a tip. She wasn't waiting for​ my family nor did she take our order nor bring us our food. We threw away our plastic utensils and paper plates after we were done so it's not like she had to clean up after us. Why does she think she deserved tips? if I wanted to leave a tip, I would have left it on the table after we were done. She was yelling at the Chinese tourist group earlier for leaving the covers off and the pancake machine was out of batter and to go grab something else. I told her "maybe after my family and I finish our breakfast". I noticed she only asked the Chinese tourist and probably thought my family was part of their group because she didn't bother asked the table of French tourist next to us. I do not think it's okay for her to be swindling Chinese​ tourists and being bias and stereotypical thinking that my family was part of their group. I have honestly never been more appalled​ in my life before. I've stayed at Motel 6s that had better service. read more

Stayed June 10-11, 2020. Older hotel which has had upgrades to it, but needs some additional maintenance. Shower put out little water and bathroom sink drained painfully slow. Called front desk to no avail. Carpet off of second floor elevator should be cleaned more regularly. Took 15 to 20 minutes for front desk to return to her workplace; possibly because they have her doing too many other duties. If you're in Kanab UT, try the Hampton, it's newer. read more

We had actually asked her to clean few things on the 2nd day and when we returned it was all done as we were expecting it to be. Best service EVER! I was moving to Washington and my moving truck broke down. We first stopped at the holiday inn express because it was one of the first places we saw. They informed me that they were all booked up. They also lied to me and said that there were only two places in town. The lady a the front desk called another place "the shiloh inn" and asked what rate they could give us, she promptly added "well, they're broke down so they don't have a choice". They offered a one bed room for my friend and I at a ridiculously high rate. Thankfully we didn't take her word on it and continued on. We pulled up to this place and noticed it was nice and clean, they even had a pool and jacuzzi! The young guy at the counter was pleasant and really friendly. He set us up with a room very quickly and even gave us a discount since it was 3 o' clock in the morning. It took another day for us to get the part, so we stayed another night and slept most of the day. This was on a Sunday in Utah... Nothing is open and we were pretty hungry. We called the front desk and the same young man was working, he regretfully informed us that everything around was closed. To my delight, he offered to fire up the waffle irons and make us some waffles! This guy went above and beyond anything I would have expected. I will recommend this place to anyone traveling through that part of the country. This place is top notch. read more

We do not recommend ! Very poor "Free" Wifi signal The first room they offered us smelled like dog. Dogs are wonderful, however we do not own a dog and had requested a no pets room . Room seemed dingy. Grease marks on bed headboard. Large stain on carpet. Just felt dirty. We also found a dead bug that looked like a cockroach. But I'm no expert on cockroaches. Anyways yuk! We requested a different room and they quickly accommodated us. Yes the room was spacious. Beds were comfortable. Definitely felt more like a motel. Bathtub needed to be scrubbed. Dirty and stained. No carpet pad on floor. Hard and cold carpet. We could definitely hear the upstairs neighbors. We will not return or recommend this place We stood in the very back building. I recently stayed here for 2 nights while in Kanab for work and don't really have any complaints. My room was really spacious and clean, and the hotel staff were pretty friendly. I also liked the complimentary internet, and the rooms had fancy new flat screen tvs in them. I was a little weary of eating some of the breakfast items, and granted it was a free breakfast, but the eggs were yellow powder and the fruit was from a can. Overall, the experience was positive and I wouldn't have any hesitations about staying here again when I'm in the area! read more

This was a great value for the price. I hotwired this hotel and it worked out great. I stayed here overnight after a day at the north rim of the Grand Canyon and before a day at Zion Natl Park. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. They offered dinner suggestions. The guy who checked me was also very helpful and quick The room was just fine. Wonderful Staff! 3 rooms, 3 couples, we stayed for only one night but the rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. Beautiful hill views. Davis at checkin split our bills correctly, gave Rewards points AND snacks, answered questions about the area and restaurants, multi-tasked and was very friendly. Also Paul and the manager worked to set up the dining hall so our group could watch Monday Night Football and even opened the kitchen so we could use the microwave without having to go out of the room. We had a blast at this hotel. It was clean, conveniently located, had an excellent breakfast, and the staff was very helpful. We were there in October so we got a great rate, too! Pets are allowed, but the rooms were super clean. You would never know it. The only bummer was that the pool was NOT heated as advertised. We got lucky and found a room for 2 nights at the Best Western Red Hills. The location was perfect for the festival. We were in the center of town and could walk everywhere. The room was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. There was a fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer.... The bed was comfortable. In the morning there is a free breakfast with eggs, potatoes, sausage, pancakes, cereals, oatmeal, breads and muffins, juice and coffee. A great stay for the price. read more

Spent three nights with family. Many pros: the Lobby was clean and neat, with friendly staff. Room a double queen was large, plenty of space to spread out and was very clean.
