its a cute place, but it was a bit dirty with cobwebs in all of the ceiling lights , dirt on all of the windows ledges, bathroom was dirty, floor was dirty. Very Small rooms, had to sweep myself Bc so much sand in the room. The kitchen for the restaurant had something below my room so I could hear it all day.... Not heard any neighbors, just the kitchen staff. + AC for the restaurant auxiliary went out the well window in front of my room so heard the AC if went outside + much hotter In front of my room vs the rest. Very Rude manager or owner I interacted with who acted like it was THEIR GIFT TO ME for me to spend stacks at his establishment, not the other way around as it should be Bc I was the CUSTOMER SPENDING STACKS. Make you take the sheets off the bed when you leave.... It takes 5 minutes, but you leave feeling weird and used- IT IS MY VACATION & I have never been asked that before in 600+ nights staying at hotels, & I have had 3 shoulder surgeries so it left me in annoyed pain all day. read more

I've stayed at this hotel several times. It's a cute boutique type of place. Nothing fancy, but clean, safe and very quiet. Check in/out is done via lock box. No front desk personnel. Nice restaurant on location. My only complaint is that the mattress in room #11 needs to be replaced. If you sit on the edge, you can fall off the bed. Same when in the bed. You almost roll out. I had the same issue several years ago, same room. So mattress has not been replaced. Otherwise it's a fun place to stay. read more

We stayed at Flagstone for a few days while visiting Zion and Bryce. Flagstone is not your traditional Airbnb, it's more of a motel run by an off-site office. The place is very conveniently located at the northern end of Kanab where you'll begin your journey to the national parks or other recreation activities. I also liked the walkability to local restaurants and most importantly good coffee (you'll want to skip the coffee provided in the room). During a pandemic we were intentional in booking airbnbs that offered enhanced cleaning and were one-level to avoid elevators etc. Flagstone rooms were furnished by Ikea, you'll feel like a freshman in college all over again. We found some problem areas which we directly communicated to the office for future improvement: We arrived at a dislodged bed frame, which we fixed, minor mold spots in the bathroom tub which we cleaned, the general cleanliness could have been better, especially in covid times. The walls in this place are thin and you'll hear your neighbors.  Our room #2 had creaky floors and a faulty flush that punctually refilled. Overall a 3 star motel fits the description of Flagstone. read more

surprisingly great, short stay! the service at the check in with Ladd was a sweet start since he was hospitable, friendly, and funny. my boyfriend and i got a little lost originally because we had to check in at the quail lodge down the street from the location of the actual studio hotel. but, minutes after checking in, Ladd scheduled a quaint breakfast for us this saturday morning, which i thought was a very unique touch to our stay. they drop off a cute little breakfast for you! the room was cute and for the most part clean.. however, we did find and old cereal box and pasta in the cupboard of the kitchen next to a dried up yam... that was a little daunting to see, which made us avoid using any of the kitchen amenities aside from the microwave and fridge. the dust on the blinds were not wiped when we got there either and my boyfriend had some issue with that when we were getting ready for bed because he could not stop sneezing after closing the blinds. wound up wiping them ourselves to an extent. found a couple beetles/bugs on the bed, but nothing to freak us out to an extreme since we are near wildlife and the national park. however!! despite those small cons, the service overall was super friendly! the room was quaint, but comfortable for our weekend getaway. honestly worth it for the price point. this was only an hour away from zion national park which was our primary destination. i liked the overall setup of everything. we would definitely consider staying here again based on hospitality and modern amenities! great price for substantial quality! only critique really fell on overall cleanliness. read more

MICE! It's midnight and my husband and I can't sleep. Probably not the ideal time to write this review, but I'm not very happy right now. Before 9pm tonight we would've given this place 4-5 stars, but since our dog discovered a mouse scurrying along the baseboards towards the kitchen, we've been on alert. We tried to contact the front desk (possibly change rooms, or ask for options on this?), turns out they're closed. No phone in rooms. Thank goodness for our cellphones! Called the number on the website, but got the run around by the robotic answering service. Called the restaurant (since they were open), and they said, "we have no capability to help, sorry." REALLY?! What if there really was something worse, and it's truly an emergency? Who do we call?! Finally dozed off and the bastard came back a few mins ago and went through our empty box on the floor that had chocolates in it earlier. Started making squeaking sounds. We also doubt if there's only one. Ugh. Great...perhaps we'll move elsewhere for our last night tomorrow. read more

Cute little hotel. We stayed two nights. As of March 2019 place is in the process of remodeling. Pool was empty and appeared 1/2 done. We had room #5, right next to reception. Arrived at 11am. Place vacant, interesting. Sign posted stating check in at 3pm. If you need help call another hotel. We where able to start the checkin process at the 2nd location. It is a 1 minute drive. Tourist area in town is 4 blocks. A few restaurants, Chinese fusion, vegetarian?? Mom-pop diner. Employees we talked to, super friendly. You can walk to a lot of local shops and next to the town museum. read more

Good, not great place to stay in Kanab. We spent three nights here and chose this place because of the full kitchen. It was great having a full size fridge and oven but the kitchen was not very well stocked with utensils or cups/plates. If you're going to advertise a place as a studio with full kitchen you should have a basic amount of supplies available. The room had a cursory cleaning before we arrived but was definitely in need of a deep cleaning. Check in was at a small desk inside the front door of the the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and it was a good price for the slow winter season. This motel run by the same folks who run Quail Park Lodge. We stayed at QPL last year and will probably go there again next time we're in Kanab. read more

The pictures are a bit deceiving IMO. It was a standard hotel in a tourist town. Nothing super great about the facility but nothing to complain about either. They brought breakfast at 7am, which consisted of yogurt parfait, cinnamon roll, and fees squeezed orange juice. It was delicious. Overall, Flagstone was a good facility and I would've given them five stars. However, I don't think the place met the expectations of the dollar amount they were charging. read more

I was very impressed when I arrived here. Everything looks like it's been remodele. The decor is very modern and has a nice color scheme. I also loved that there is a full kitchen area and the bathroom is one of the nicest I've seen at any hotel I've stayed at in the past few years. Most of the hotels in this area are expensive, so in comparison, the rates were very reasonable at this facility. In fact, for something decent in this area, the rates were over $130/nt. Otherwise, you would be getting something more like motel 6 or just something very basic. This was the least expensive in the caliber type of hotel I was looking for without breaking the bank. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Awful, awful, awful! This place is an old motel that is dressed up as a "boutique" property, but fails at almost every turn. Booked a two-night stay and left after one night. Loud, creaky floorboards (I could even hear the creaky floorboards in the room next door), bugs, and nobody in the front desk (a little room with a laptop) except for very limited hours. They put me in a room right next to where loud construction was going on, and when I asked if it was going to be going on all day, all I got was a "Yup," no offer to move me to another room (even though they were clearly not at capacity), no "I'm sorry" even. I left after my first night, but of course there was nobody at the "front desk" to tell. I then wrote a letter to management letting them know about my experience, and received NO REPLY after over a week. Horrible place, horrible service. The owners of this place should do us all a favor and get out of the motel business - it's clearly not their thing. read more

We were pleasantly surprised with the rooms here! We got the room with the two double beds and the microwave/fridge combo. First off, this little motel is in a great location. Right in the heart of downtown Kanab and within walking distance to a lot of great sights and eats. You do have to check in at Quail Park Lodge (also within walking distance) during certain times, so PLEASE be specific about the time you are arriving and make sure you check on Quail Park's lobby hours. They will not be waiting on you all night! We checked-in around 7 pm and were greeted by a very friendly staff at Quail Park. Check-in was super straight forward and so fast. We loved our little room at Flagstone. It looked just like the pictures. Nice hardwood floors, decent sized fridge (bigger than we thought), comfy beds, a great amount of storage in the bathroom setup, toiletries, coffee maker, etc. It had everything we needed. It's also nice that this is motel style, so you can park right in front and load in! They also left extra towels because the cleaning staff does not come by until after you've gone. Noise level: this does face the street, but since this is a such a small town, it didn't really bother us. Just a warning to all your super light sleepers. As far as the other guests, we barely heard them, save the couple that seemed to be on a honeymoon in the room next to us =) Will certainly be coming back here. Very comfortable, newly remodeled, affordable. The service was great--polite and helpful. Simple amenities--nothing fancy, but it was perfect for a place to crash after a day of adventuring. We were disappointed. This is basically an apartment complex that was converted into hotel rooms. The room was decent, did have a kitchenette with some dishes. The bathroom is very small, room overall is very small. No toiletries at all. Location is not wonderful, looks run down. Expected a little more for $80 a night read more

The hotel within its self was great, looks just like the pictures and obviously newly renovated. My only two problems which is why I give it three stars was ants and construction. There was a MAJOR ant problem in my room!!! Absolutely all over the floors, freaked me out. I stayed there for three weeks and was told there would be heavy construction only for three days. Turned out taking almost my entire stay. Typically construction doesn't bother me but they started very early and worked until sunset, it was so loud and the walls were so thin I could hear the workers shouting at one another. Kind of annoyed my whole trip was surrounded by bulldozers. read more

We ended up being assigned room 21, which was in the "quiet" back portion of the motel. Asked the front desk lady for the quietest room possible. It was the opposite! As soon as I saw we backed up to the kitchen, I should have asked for another room. We had the end room where the restaurant staff took their loud cigarette breaks, just outside of our room. Also we came to find out there was a prep cooking area and probably some kind of dishwasher that hummed along throughout the night in a basement below us. I had earplugs with me and an eye mask, or never would have slept. Blinds were not installed properly and our privacy was compromised, outdoor lighting was not blockable. The final straw was when we showed in the morning and ran out of hot water. The room was functionally difficult with the bed against the wall and no space to set our suitcases or personal items. Glad we were there off season and paid a lower rate. Only reason I didn't give this a terrible is the restaurant and the nice people and good food we experienced. read more

Wow this is THE place to stay in Kanab! All newly finished rooms and gorgeously designed! They have full kitchens and a jacuzzi tub! The staff their is beyond nice too! Definitely ask for recommendations because they helped us plan our trip with them! read more

Check-in=Amateur hour. The studio itself was fine. Nice fixtures, little kitchen, nice beddings and towels. Complex is apparently being remodeled and it looks rundown. We arrived at 7:00PM to find they weren't aware of our reservation and the room hadn't been cleaned. This was a major inconvenience as we had been hiking all day and were tired, dirty, and had our two dogs with us. They took a whopping 10% off our bill for our troubles. My advice is to stay elsewhere. read more

I really enjoyed staying here! It has great character with the squeaky floorboards but had been nicely upgraded to be a comfortable experience. I stayed here while volunteering at Best Friends and the location of flagstone is so convenient for that while still in walking distance of great restaurants. You can hear your neighbors but not loudly, if you are sensitive to that kind of thing you may be happier at a newer hotel. read more

This is a motel, one of 3 properties with the same owner. This is a satellite location with no one on staff--to check in, you have to drive to one of their other properties. Breakfast not provided. Does have wifi and cable. Room looks nice when you first walk in. Does not look like picture on website, though--no bar with chairs. We asked for extra towels at check in and were refused. Also they could not provide toothpaste. No hair dryer provided in room. When we tried to close blinds, they broke, leaving the window exposed. 30 minutes later a maintenance guy came and fixed them. No phone in room. Bed very squeaky---box spring is actually 2 twin size beds. When we walked in, heat was on full blast and room was sweltering and took several hours to cool down. There is a sign taped to the mini fridge saying that guests are responsible for taking out their own trash and that housekeeping costs $15 extra. Rating we found said it was 2 stars but it was definitely 1 star. read more
