Fairfield Inn and Suites Rock was easy off/on in a very pleasant suburb. This is a newer and well maintained property with a professional staff; we dined at adjacent restaurant at Holiday Inn Express because of rave reviews. Soiled carpet, dusty phone, tables and lamp posts. This is 100% a pet used room, which I specifically requested not to have. It seems they think the smothering smell of bleach will mask it. Old, tiny microwave and beat up fridge.... Don't get me started on these old white bed covers. This room was clearly pieced together with random furniture. I used to be a diehard Hilton patron but every stay seems worse than the next. I won't even complain ( because I could) or even post photos of this disappointing hotel room. I just won't patronize this brand anymore. FYI, the first room that I moved from to this one was even worse AND the desk staff confirmed that this was an old property. Once I turned the thermostat off and on it worked. Bonus, they had lots of green space to walk my dog. My only complaint was I was in a room with an adjoining door. And until I turned the TV on I could hear the conversation happening in the room beside me. He was not being loud, I just think he was close to the door and the door was not sound proof enough. The hotel was also close to a mall, restaurants and gas stations. The morning of check out I went for breakfast at 9 AM. They had to go containers so I picked up scrambled eggs, sausage, a biscuit topped with sausage gravy, fruit and hot tea. I was impressed with the breakfast, especially the biscuit and sausage gravy! I plan to book a room here for all of my future trips to my parents. Try them out as I do not think you will be disappointed. For the price, it was a quality place to stay.

They are pet friendly with a fee, which is understandable. We brought our dogs, and felt safe walking them around the property to go potty. There are trash cans by every entrance so disposing of potty bags is no issue. The complimentary breakfast was actually pretty good. I almost never eat the free breakfast, because, again, I am super nitpicky, but they had muffins, coffee and fruit that was good. My husband and son enjoyed omelets and sausage. We would absolutely stay here again!

One Queen bed, flat screen TV mounted on the wall. A refrigerator and microwave hidden away in a cabinet. I had a bad headache settling in behind my eyes from spending all day in the sun. I went back to the front desk as I noticed they had sundry items for sale. The strawberry blond haired lady was with her niece, but stopped everything to give me some of her own ibuprofen so I would not have to purchase it, and I got some Gatorade. That was SO nice of her, she did not have to do that at all. There was a small café area in the lobby, but I did not get anything from there. I am so grateful for this lovely hotel. I will be back again if I am in the area again. It is very close to the highway and easy to get in and out. There is an Outback Steakhouse within walking distance as well. There are many amenities which we did not check out because we were just staying for the night. Although the check-in was flawless, the WiFi was good, the TV channel options were endless and the room was quiet, we will not stay here again because of the following: There were multiple lights that did not work in the room. Light fixtures should be one of the easiest things to maintain. One had no light bulb, one we are guessing the light was burnt out and two only had one of two lights working in the fixture. The movable work table under the counter had some sticky residue on it. It was clearly not wiped clean. The remote had no cover for the battery. There was a piece of something that looked like food on the floor and the carpet needed a deep clean. These simple things raised our concern for the cleanliness and maintenance of things we did not notice. We made a note that for future travels through the area to stay at the Home2 in Blythwood, SC, It is a much better location overall than this particular hotel. In addition to the cleanliness and maintenance in Blythwood, the space in the room felt much bigger. The bathroom had a barn door verses the regular door in Rock Hill which barely cleared the toilet making it an extremely tight fit if shutting the door to use the bathroom. Not a great experience.

Why would a Hilton have an indoor pool without a heater in it? What would a heater cost 10,000 more dollars? A small expense for the Hilton organization. Why would you not have a heater in this pool? Why would the pool be totally empty? No one could get in the pool cause it's absolutely like swimming in an iceberg. Why would you have such a nice hotel and such a beautiful pool and not have it warm enough so people could swim in it. What would be the point of having an indoor pool? You should just have an outdoor pool and cover it up in the winter. It makes no sense to me to not have a heated pool. And we asked them if the pool was working properly before we checked in they should've said it's working properly but it's subzero because there's no heater in the pool and we would've gone somewhere else. Really nice place. I wish they would have heated their pool in fact it's absolutely ridiculous that they did not.
