It's an older property but it's plenty nice. Super comfortable beds and very quiet. Shows its age…read morein the rooms a little but I am used to beat to death properties so I hardly noticed it. Rate was decent enough. Worth paying a bit more for a hotel that's not straight out of Breaking Bad. Fitness room is pretty small and the equipment is borderline prehistoric. I don't think I've ever gone to hit a lift at a hotel gym and all the equipment was busy lol The first room I checked into reeked of bleach/chlorine to the point I was getting headache. I think the cleaning crew way overdid it. Fortunately they had me moved a few doors down and the stay was very nice from that point on

What happened to this property?…read more What a crappy, dusty and dated hotel it has become. Had my reservation not been NON refundable, I would have never checked in today. Soiled carpet, dusty phone, tables and lamp posts. This is 100% a pet used room, which I specifically requested not to have. It seems they think the smothering smell of bleach will mask it. Old, tiny microwave and beat up fridge.... Don't get me started on these old white bed covers. This room was clearly pieced together with random furniture. I used to be a diehard Hilton patron but every stay seems worse than the next. I won't even complain ( because I could) or even post photos of this disappointing hotel room. I just won't patronize this brand anymore. FYI, the first room that I moved from to this one was even worse AND the desk staff confirmed that this was an old property. Don't stay here... staying in a lesser known property or your vehicle will probably be cleaner. Terrible.

I travel for a living and have stayed at many hotels in my years of traveling. Best Western is my usual (if the price is reasonable) go to stay. As I walked into the doors of this BW, the first RED FLAG WAS THE SMELL! But I was tired and was ready to lay down. RED FLAG #2 the card machine didn't work!! Again, I was really tired and wanted to rest my body. After receiving my room keys, I proceeded to the 3rd floor and come to my room (311) where I find the door propped open. RED FLAG #3, that I ignore. IT MUST HAVE BEEN LEFT OPEN TO PREVENT THE SMELL FROM BEING TRAPPED IN. SMH The hotel is JUST IN A NEED OF A REMODEL. EVERTHING NEEDS TO FIND ITS WAY TO THE TRASH. The furniture is so worn and filthy. Sooooo, I always pull back the sheets on the bed to inspect. Because that is where I have to lay my body. THE SHEETS WERE SO WORN AND HAD MULTIPLE STAINS ON THEM. I took pictures of the bedding and left the room. After showing the pictures to the front desk clerk and requesting a refund. He calls the hotel manager, who tells him to offer me a suite. Sir, I will not be staying here!!!!!! At this point I don't care how tired I am at this point. I would truly like my money back!! If this review can help someone else avoid this filthy, it's worth donating to the renovations.

But... the lack of maintenance was obvious, mold stains on the tub, the breakfast very poor and the surroundings plastered with prostitution and weirdo's, this is bot what you expect from a Best Western.

This hotel must be very new because it still has that new smell!? The AC works really well and my room isn't grossly humid like the last place we stayed at. I picked this place because of other reviews that said it was the cleanest hotel they have stayed at and they didn't lie- I agree. It's the cleanest!! The room has a giant tv and the pillow I slept on was the comfiest I've ever had. I'm tempted to ask if I can buy it (ha!) I have already recommended this hotel to my friends and family and will continue to stay here on future trips. Also I like the noon check out. I needed a late as possible check out and most places only go to 11. Update- the shower glass is so clean, I walked into it haha!

We rolled in to Rock Hill hauling a giant horse trailer, so I didn't book ahead on-line, because I needed to find a hotel with a parking lot that could accommodate our unusual haul! We received our welcome water and snack - I don't know whose idea that was at Hilton, but can I tell you that I love it? Hydration is key on roadtrips and I don't stop for anything unless absolutely necessary, so that bottle of water upon check in is a welcome reminder to hydrate! It's empty before I even get to the room. Speaking of rooms - I LOVE Tru when I'm on business. The sleek, minimalist designs are just what I need. The fact that the hotel is DOG FRIENDLY makes me SO happy. They allow dogs of all sizes and the rooms (at least ours) are absolutely dog friendly - no carpet! So, if Fido DOES have an accident, it's easily cleaned. That being said, there's no reason your pup should have an accident because there are plenty of dog potty stations complete with baggies and disposal. There's a wide array of snacks and drinks available for purchase and the continental breakfast blew my mind. Gone are the days of stale muffins and mushy fruit! They had egg bites that rivaled Starbucks, Lavazza coffee, biscuits, sausage, toast, cereal, hot tea, and the most amazing little pancake machine that cranks out two pancakes in two minutes. It's so great! One thing I must note is that even though the hotel is dog friendly - there is NO odor. I mean, NONE. This hotel didn't even have the general "hotel smell." It just smelled fresh and clean and it WAS. I spilled some water on the floor and when I wiped it up, the white towel was still just as white as when I put it down there. Clean, clean, clean! No hair in the showers or sinks, not a towel out of place. I hope management treats the cleaning crew like queens and kings, because this hotel is SPARKLING clean. Lastly, I adore that they use Not Radio soaps, lotions, and shampoos. Truly, this hotel has thought of everything you could possibly need and they've made it convenient as well. Cheers to everyone working at this hotel and thank you for making our experience so wonderful.

However I had to extend my stay due to changing circumstances, and the cost per night went up around $70, which seems to be common for extending a stay. I ended up switching to the Hampton nearby. Other minor issue I had was with housekeeping which didn't seem to adhere to the schedule I was told they would listen to. They just seem to swing by random times. Shoutout to front desk manager Georgia though-she is awesome and helped me find a stop-gap solution when I needed to stay an extra night.

We stayed here on Sunday night before Memorial Day. We checked in online, used the digital key and headed straight to our room about 7pm. There are many amenities which we did not check out because we were just staying for the night. Although the check-in was flawless, the WiFi was good, the TV channel options were endless and the room was quiet, we will not stay here again because of the following: There were multiple lights that did not work in the room. Light fixtures should be one of the easiest things to maintain. One had no light bulb, one we are guessing the light was burnt out and two only had one of two lights working in the fixture. The movable work table under the counter had some sticky residue on it. It was clearly not wiped clean. The remote had no cover for the battery. There was a piece of something that looked like food on the floor and the carpet needed a deep clean. These simple things raised our concern for the cleanliness and maintenance of things we did not notice. We made a note that for future travels through the area to stay at the Home2 in Blythwood, SC, It is a much better location overall than this particular hotel. In addition to the cleanliness and maintenance in Blythwood, the space in the room felt much bigger. The bathroom had a barn door verses the regular door in Rock Hill which barely cleared the toilet making it an extremely tight fit if shutting the door to use the bathroom. Not a great experience.
