Check in was 3pm. Arrives at 2:50. They said room is ready. Went In and it was gross. No sheets on the bed , floors gross, trash cans full. They came and cleaned and we didn't get In until 4pm. Sat out in the heat for an hour . Got inside, fridge was broke, soda machine was broke on both sides . The lamps were broke , no bulbs . $166 for a night. Never again . I do not recommend. They are or have recently renovated. I think many of the reviews are pre renovations. I was skeptical . However when I entered the lobby it was clean and inviting definitely not a dump, the front desk lady was upbeat and pleasant. Room was clean. Parking is behind gate rooms are accessed from parking lot. They served breakfast with hot and cold choices . They do provide soap but if you're like me and like shower gel bring it with you. The first room didn't work out for us so she personally came and helped us get into another room. The room was very nice and the breakfast had lots of options. !!!!!! 5 STARS. !!!!!!! As soon as I hit the lobby I was amaz by the cleanlines. The white tile floors and countertops were glistening. The young lady that waited on me ,Bree was an absolute delight. Her smile made my day. Once in the room I was amazed again by the sweet smell of a mild cleaner. the room was spotless. Called down to the office about the breakfast buffet menu, thinking I would get Bree. However a new person had taken the place of Bree. Her name was Elsia. She was so sweet. answered my question with a tone of joy in her voice. She sounds as if she enjoys her position and treated me great ( I've had other hotel chains huff and puff for my simple question) she was prompt and a pleasure to talk to. HOTEL STAFF INVADED MY ROOM - INVASION!!! On August 16 - 17th, 2024, I stayed at the Best Western and had an issue with my initial room and the TV not working. I went back to the lobby and was given another room located on the same floor. About 1:30 AM in the morning the door burst open, which the door was already hard to open. I yelled and screamed with fright, and the door was immediately slammed back. After waiting about 15 minutes when I finally stopped shaking, I called the front desk in case the people or whoever did it was still out there. The person that answered the phone says to me "oh yeah that was me. I heard you scream." After calling several days and leaving messages I finally got through to the general manager. Explained my story and what happened. He claimed that he was going to find out who did it. He had an idea who did it and he was going to find out. He said they did have videotape, and I also asked if they had phone records to confirm. He said they did not have phone records. After playing tag with the manager over the last seven weeks, I opened a ticket with a Better Business Bureau and have found the manager to have changed his posture on what happened to me. He claims that the person "knocked" on the door. How is it possible that I would know the time that this person barged the door open? Why wouldn't I answer the phone or the door if the employee called or knocked first? He did say he found on a videotape that "person" in the hallway, I'm appalled because this manager tried to make it seem like I just want a refund when I told him that I don't want another person to experience a hotel invasion like that ever!!! Needless to say, it took me several days to get over the fear and get past it. The fact that the person who answered the phone said "it was me and I heard you scream" did provide some relief because they confirmed that somebody tried to break in the room!!! It's quite frightening to have that happen when you're in a hotel that's gated and then for the management to say I'm only doing this to get my money back. No, I'm doing this because that was wrong and nobody else should ever experience this, and whomever that employee was needs to be held accountable. The person should have called the room phone first, and that did not happen. The person should have knocked on the door, and that did not happen!!! This person should not have just barged into the room and without determining either of those two things first (call and/or a knock - preferably both). I am a very light sleeper so any noise (phone or knock) would have easily awoken me. I've also reached out to their corporate office and have requested a call back from the district manager. After contacting the hotel to speak with the district manager, he delegated back to the GM. The GM only called me back once - initially - after giving me the run around about contacting me back. He said give him another week - as he was on vacation - and he'd call back. He didn't. I had to keep calling him to get an update. In addition, when I first called the hotel back after returning home and leaving my number, he said he did call me back. I later learned that he did call back but never left a voicemail or message that he was returning the call. I've never experienced a professional caller "not" leaving a message and identifying themselves. This GM is very unprofessional and now I realize he's a liar and covers up the truth. He said he "had an idea" of who it was. He said he'd track down the employee, the video, and would handle the situation. In essence, if the employee called or knocked on the door, I would have opened it easily. Why was this employee barging into my room at 1:30 a.m.?? What did he want? Why didn't the GM ever tell me "why" he was at my room and "what he wanted" at 1:30 a.m.? This GM has responded to the Better Business Bureau ticket that he thinks that I'm doing this for the money. Of course, I would like to be compensated for the mental and physical anguish I endured that night - and subsequent nights, and for their lack of accountability. I am not doing this for compensation. I am doing this because the HOTEL STAFF ROOM INVASION is not acceptable, and IT HAPPENED TO ME!!! Hopefully no one else will go through this experience!! I suggest that you don't go there because YOUR ROOM COULD BE INVADED NEXT!! No one should EVER do that to a guest in a hotel. read more

The room was perfect; clean, neat, extra special way of folding towels etc. Looks like someone cares and wants guests to feel good. The service was friendly and upbeat. Lots of smiles! We needed extra towels, and they were delivered to our room in a timely and courteous manor. The flowers in the flower boxes were well maintained and added beauty. Not great. Not the worst but it's up there. First impressions of the security gates surrounding the property definitely give you a feeling of security and safety and "where the hell am I staying?" Front desk staff, simply wonderful, this lady was pleasant, very personable, just a joy. The rooms, first impressions, updated, fresh, clean. Actually my first room was flooded so I got moved to the second floor. Somebody had a fun valentine's day because the room was filled with heart confetti. Further examination of the room, yeah. Rust in the tub , thread baren and torn bath linens, I seriously don't think that anything has been dusted. I'm preferencial to a bed feeling like a Lincoln Towncar. Soft, controlled and comfortable. This was more like a first generation Dodge Durango. It was hard, squeaky and overall I woke up feeling and knowing I'd slept, but woke up feeling like I took a nap. They do however get mad props for clean HVAC filters and more than 1 coffee thing. I don't need a ridiculous Four Seasons experience, I'm traveling for work. I always stay at Best Western Premieres, the boutique ones. They are fantastic. This place feels like a landlord special. They do what they HAVE to do vs SHOULD do. It's 100% a MOTEL, not a HOTEL. Horrible experience - from rude and disrespectful staff and reservation made for one price and hotel wouldn't honor it. Reservation for two rooms and once i arrived was told couldn't honor second night but the manager said she would override on her end- she never did and even though an employee agreed as she was there - they charged us almost three nights- then locked us out of our room and told us we didn't have a reservation for that night and our room was given to someone else who had a reservation. after another employee went and checked the room and confirmed we did indeed still have our room we were given new keys that worked. also came back and told me that the military rate we booked with was wrong - even though we booked on the best western site - she said they would never have a price that low. today one of the other baseball families confirmed he did receive that price without any problems. The hotel was dirty, and the shower curtain had blood all over the inside. taking advantage of baseball travel families and making them pay way more for a less-than-valued room and no breakfast (ran out before 9 am), no extra pillows... you name it. It could have been smoothed over in my opinion in the hospitality of the front desk was a little more customer oriented. But may she was tired or didn't want to be helpful for whatever reason. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We had the absolute worst experience. They are criminal. We booked a room with 2 double bed and a roll away. When we arrived they "did not have access to the roll away bed and was trying to get ahold of maintenance". We arrived at 10am and did not hear back until after midnight. They told us that they still couldn't get ahold of anyone but would put my eldest teenager in a room until they could get it sorted out. Morning comes and new clerk is in. She said that there the roll away bed was not allowed and that I would be charged for the other room. We checked out and was billed over $700 for not only the other room but for additional nights. She was extremely rude and I was not the only pissed of guest in the waiting room. Crooks and a nasty place. You are better off sleeping in your car. read more

Checked in on 8/6/21 staff weren't overly friendly but they weren't rude, just handling business I suppose. We go to the room and visually I was a little surprised at how small it was and out dated. The room also had a smell like nobody had been in there in awhile. Otherwise, the room seemed to be ok. The morning of our check out, I awake to find a BED BUG on my pillow right next to my face!!!!! I was mortified! I took a picture of the bedbug and we immediately packed up our things and went to the front desk. I told them what happened and showed them the picture and let them know that I left it on the pillow for them to see. The front desk person told me she would leave my info for the GM because I requested a full refund. The GM was supposed to call me the next morning. I never heard from him and when I called and explained what happened, the clerk said he would call me in 24 hrs. I pretty much demanded to speak to him but the Assistant GM came to the phone and was not at all pleasant. I got no apology, no explanation of what the protocol was until I kept pressing her about what they were going to do to resolve the issue. She said they were bringing in someone to inspect the room to determine if in fact they had bedbugs and someone would call me back. The check in area in this hotel is nice, but don't let it fool you. Our room door (to outside) had a huge draft coming in considering there was a huge gap in between the door and floor. The air conditioner was hanging off the unit and gross. There was dust behind the beds, looked like it wasn't cleaned in months (or ever). The bathroom lighting was HORRIBLE. The picture with the brighter lighting was only because the heat lamp was on which made it intolerable to be in there. The shower knob was moldy underneath, it was completely green. And last but not least, the towels feel like sandpaper. I've stayed at plenty of Best Westerns before and was truly disappointed. I am currently in a dispute with the Salisbury, MD Best Western Hotel office manager and with the booking agency Agoda. I felt unsafe staying at this hotel after being told that I had to access my hotel room from the parking lot vs. accessing my room from the safety and security of an interior hallway through the hotel itself. I arrived at the hotel with every intention of spending the night, however, due to security concerns, I chose not to. Other family members that dropped me off agreed with my assessment. The office manager has been fighting every attempt I've made to dispute the charges. Agoda is stating that it is out of their hands. I would suggest you continue searching for a more suitable hotel with a healthier and robust customer service / management staff that can address any concerns or issues you might have. THis place is a DUMP!!!!! There is no way that it cant pass a health inspection! The pictures are probably 10 yrs old, and the moldy smell is absolutely horrible. Our softball team booked here because it was on a list provided by USSSA softball tournament. The only reason we stayed was because we didn't want to split the team up. The rooms are out-dated, small, and very moldy smelling. The air conditioner in our room did not work properly- was set to 61 the whole week, and we would wake up sweating. The continental breakfast was disgusting as was the coffee. The maid service was poor- one day,all they did was provide new towels, didn't clean or make the beds! Stopped for just a couple hours sleep on a long drive home. Checked in to room 256 late, and the tv did not turn on. Wasn't worried because I just needed to sleep. Blinds didn't shut all the way so I used hair clips so guests could not see inside my room as they walked by. Just decided to shower and sleep, and when I went to throw away my soap bar trash in the trash can there was a used condom in the bottom. Nice clean place at a great value with friendly service. The pool was outside which my family liked and I could back my car up to the room and take out all the kids stuff and put it right in the room. We bought a bunch of stuff for the fridge and the microwave was useful as well. I will be back next time I'm in town and look forward to the hot breakfast again. Stayed 4 nights in Aug.2019. First night was room 226. Bed was not even made, pillow cases and pillows literally thrown on a bed that was unmade, which means room wasn't cleaned. Woke up in the morning with new red swollen bug bites! Mattress was very worn,with dirt and what looked like a blood stain on one side. I moved to another room for the rest of my 4 night stay and didn't notice any major problems. I wanted to talk to the manager upon leaving and was given his email address. Requested a refund of one night because of the bed bug problem and mattress but was told they didn't see a problem with the bed! If there wasn't a problem then why would I move to another room? All within the first hour of checking into my room I determined the following... 1. The tv remote did not work...no batteries. Front desk assistant had to come to my room with a remote that would work so she could program it to work with my tv... 2. The caulking in the bathtub was peeling away from the wall tiling in the shower. There was also mold present in some of the tile grout. 3. There was no coffee maker in the room, as expected. 4. The room phone was not working. My only reason for staying here was work related and only for a couple of nights. At least I know I won't be back on my own given an option to book somewhere else. BEWARE!!!!! Room looks nothing like it does online. It's horrible. Permanent stains galore. I could tell they TRIED to clean the room (God Bless them) but it needs new EVERYTHING. We went while they're renovating clearly, you could tell by the taping everywhere. DO NOT STAY HERE. Disgusting. Room was absolutely gross with stains and tears all over everything. First thing that occurred when opening the door to the room - 4 flies flew out of the room. When checking for any type of creature, we noted the carpets all ripped up and with a weird white powder all over. The chairs, curtains and walls all had gross stains with no obvious identification. Thankfully, we arrived very late, and were leaving very early. We just needed to sleep. But those damn flies kept us up. The staff was friendly, I will give it that. I booked this hotel at the last minute totally slip my mind, came down for a wedding. I wanted something affordable and not to far from the venue. Which I got and greatly appreciate. The staff was very helpful and I had ask for extra set upon my arrival since we would be coming into the area really close to the wedding start time. They even allow us to check into the room early. Let me start out by saying one of the families found a used condom under their mattress. Multiple families found bed bugs in their bedding and mystery stains on the furniture and bedding. Black mold in on of the showers. The health department should be called. When we brought these issues up with the front clerk, Erica and manager Abdi, they refused to aknowlage any issues. Erica even grabbed her stuff and walked out. We asked for a refund letting them know we will not be staying at all. They scandlesly charged the dull amount and refused to refund. We took pictures and staff would not even look at them. Do yourself and family a favor and DO NOT stay at this hotel for your health and mental well being. read more

We came down for a 10u fast pitch National tournament and were sent an email a week before that renovations were "almost" done, well they weren't, NOT even close! As a team we complained to the owner who took the attitude of oh well. Our rooms were barely cleaned, never took out the trash, toilet paper was hard to come by, sketchy men walking around and cigarette butts all over the ground on the upper level. My husband and I booked a stay at the Salisbury, Md Best Western. I have never seen a hotel in such bad shape! The lights in the parking lot were malfunctioning; the bathroom door would not close because they had taken an old door from someplace else (different color) that didn't fit the space and it bumped into the toilet, preventing it from being closed. It's quite embarrassing when one is unable to close the bathroom door when privacy is required. The microwave oven was well past its time- rusted and dirty on the inside. The bed appeared to be on blocks or something as it was very noisy whenever one of us moved. It was the worst night's sleep! To top it off, someone was smoking marijuana for a good portion of the night and, although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, this was what we had to contend with. Best Western should be ashamed of themselves for allowing someone to book a hotel in this shape. I paid $225 and they didn't even apologize, much less return any of my money! Ok, this is going to be a long one. Try and keep up.....when you are on a travel softball team, obviously you are expected to travel some. Depending on the team, you could travel state to state or town to town. Our daughters all play/ed travel ball since our oldest was 8. She is currently 18 and no longer playing for a severe injury that she more than likely received playing ball, to her back. At times, when traveling, you need to pay for hotels. Sometimes hotels require a one stay at the time of reservation being made. Being a one income family, we don't always have that one night stay to release from our funds. This last time, this is exactly what happened to our family. Both my girls were going to two different NATIONALS in Juy. Paige, went to Melbourne FL and we rented a 2 bedroom condo. They required a $200 deposit, which baseically was a one night stay. Mind you our other daughter, Hailey was also going to Nationals but in Salisbury, MD. BOTH A WEEK APART. Great vacation for the Mandala family. Hailey's team was staying at the Best Western in Salisbury, MD and this hotel required a one night stay. We didn't have it at this time as it was completely after Christmas. We waited until June to use booking.com to help lower the cost of the hotel and the best part, was no one night stay required at booking. All in all we were probably saving about $50. To my family, that is alot. Upon my treck from SC to Salisbury, MD, our "team-mom" called all the parents and stated the Best Western WAS NOT READY FOR US TO STAY. It was in complete renovations and under construction. She went into her room and realized that there was DEAD BUGS, and fiberglass dust from all the fiberglass sheetrock being cut on property while guests were there coming out of the ac unit. Kristen brought in the manager from the hotel and explained she would NOT be staying at this hotel the rest of the week, Nor would the rest of the team. Both tournaments were under USSSA and nationals has a event planning company that sets up hotels for the teams to choose from to book their stay. Kristen contacted the girl named Ashlie and asked her to help get us a new hotel. Ashlie then emailed back and said there were no more hotels for us to go to. She lied, Kristen called the hotel and they were more than happy to help us and match the rate the BW was giving us. My daughter is highly allergic to all the fiberglass material and actually ended up in the hospital with an infection to her eye from fiberglass material. The next day I saw that this AMIT PATEL charged my account for the full amount of $900.00. I was flipping out because he made my account go negative. The reason being, I had just paid the other hotel for the week and we were on a two week "softball vacation". Luckily, I had SOME cash on me. Not much but some. We contacted the bank and they couldn't do anything until the charge was posted and out of pending. This would not happen until Tuesday/Wednesday of this current week. We also contacted booking.com since this is who we booked the hotel through. We were basically told three times the issue is with the hotel and not booking.com. We had emailed and called the AMIT PATEL person and received nothing back from him other than he couldn't speak to us as we booked through a 3rd party. He, AMIT PATEL, was not going to give us our money back as we were a "no show" . That is a lie, since Kristen cancelled for all of us. He KNEW we weren't coming just like everyone else wasnt coming. Accordng to booking.com, he NEVER told them we didnt show up which means HE CHARGED MY ACCOUNT not booking.com like he originally said. Booking.com never told us this hotel was under construction either because I dont think they knew. As of now, both are blaming the other and BW AMIT PATEL is lying to all that Bill destroyed the lobby. Oh yess, I forgot to mention, we DID go to the hotel on Thursday since we hadnt heard back from AMIT PATEL, and we expressed out concerns and my husband in anger slammed his HAND ONLY ont he colunter. After the customer service (or lack) by phone, I'm glad I didn't stay here. My event was cancelled so I tried to cancel my reservation. After 10+ tries over the course of a week with no answer, a woman finally picked up the phone and asked me to hold because she was "checking someone in". After 9 mins 36 seconds on hold, I hung up. Called back 10 minutes later. Guess what?! That's right, no answer. Will stay far away if I do ever need to visit the area again read more
