It's terrifying to wake up every 30 minutes or so and panic because you think you've accidentally abducted a child and are holding it hostage. The US Men's track team was probably not staying in the room above us, but I would challenge anyone to prove it based on the amount of running it seemed like they were doing at all hours. Was this the worst night's sleep ever? No. But that's probably only because I've been in labor overnight. All this to say: if you are a sound sleeper or drink enough to lose consciousness, you could probably stay here with no issues.

This is definitely cheaper than the spots down by the boardwalk area. 2. Full hot breakfast buffet included! 3. It could accommodate our family of five in one room. 4. Indoor pool (definitely important for cold season visits)! The man at the front was very friendly and helpful, eager to offer some recommendations. The staff was always helpful when I needed to interact with them. When Child #2 and Child #3 went with me for breakfast, staff got me a high chair right away. Location. So, while a lot of us tourists like the idea of being close to the boardwalk and attractions like Jolly Roger, this hotel is close to several great spots. It is WALKING distance (less than half a block!) from an indoor Old Pro Golf and several restaurants, including Longboard Café. Not bad! And for a short drive (or a longer walk, you do you), you can get to Fractured Prune just 10 blocks away or Alley Oops, just 12 blocks away, or Candy Kitchen, just 14 blocks away. Also, the views of the bay and of the ocean aren't half bad. The hot breakfast. I dare say this makes the whole thing worth it. There are three waffle irons, one which does mini waffles and the other two do full. There was always some fresh fruit, some hash brown pucks, scrambled eggs, lots of bacon (though some breakfast sausage patties when that ran out), and a variety of breakfast sandwiches and spreads. The rooms were nice and clean. We got one with two full beds and a pullout couch. There is a partition curtain between the beds and the couch so one could theoretically watch TV or read with the light on while someone else sleeps, but the curtain is so thin that it doesn't really block anything. Nice thought, poor execution. The room had a FULL fridge and freezer, as well as dishes a full sink, dishwasher, and full microwave (swanky!). They even can bring you a portable stove and pan if you wish to cook in your room, free of charge!

Nice to sit on the balcony to watch the people and the ocean. Rooms: Recently remodeled, the rooms are modern, clean, and fresh feeling. Bed was comfortable. Microwave, refrigerator (no freezer), flat round coffee filter coffeemaker in the room, desk/chair, small couch that pulls out to a bed (can fit 2 people on the couch), footstool. Small balcony with two chairs. Some shade from balcony above. It would have been nice to have had a small table. Sliding door with screen. Blackout curtains. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the end. Amenities: - Outdoor pool across the streets. No umbrellas. Indoor pool with small "hot tub" that was the same temperature as the pool since it flowed into the pool. Water felt cool to me. Most times, families with small children were in the pool playing. Open 10 am - 10 pm. Small towels available by indoor pool. - Lobby had free, good coffee and tea from 7 am - 12 pm. Restaurant: - Captains Table restaurant open for breakfast (7:30 am - 11 am every day) and dinner (Sunday - Thursday, 4 - 9 pm, Fri & Sat 4 pm - 10 pm). We ate dinner, and the food was good. Savannah our waitress was very nice and helpful with getting more Bailey's added to my chocolate martini and giving us tips on where to go. - Small gym with weights, treadmill, bike. Things to Note: - $10/day parking. It was after midnight when I noticed this and I called down to the front desk for housekeeping to help but nobody was at the front desk. I went down to the front desk, and needed and looked for somebody for 10 minutes and nobody was around so called the main number for Marriott and was finally able to get through to the hotel receptionist who came out but was unable to provide anything other than a clean towel. I told him the least I needed was disinfected so I could clean the bathroom myself and after 15 minutes he brought some up to the room . I'm an ambassador Elite with Marriott and use points for the hotel so I certainly wasn't looking for room credits or anything else other than a basic apology but the manager never bothered to call or Reach Out and wow there's no excuse for a bloody towel which is an obvious health hazard to be hanging from my bathroom door without even an apology. This experience makes me consider boycotting Marriotts as a whole

The staff was so welcoming and friendly, always willing to help with any questions or requests. We could not check in early, but they allowed us to store our luggage and park our car inside their garage; after having an AMAZING coffee and snacks by the lobby area, the check-out was quick and efficient. I have to say the customer service experience throughout our stay was excellent. Everyone I interacted with was professional and made us feel valued as a guest. Their attention to detail, strong housekeeping staff and positive attitude made our stay extremely pleasurable. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ocean City.

Breakfast was your standard items with yogurt, bagels, cereal, make your own waffles, sausage and hotel eggs (add water to powder eggs i believe). Nothing to write home about, but saves you some money by not eating out. The rooms are spacious and somewhat updated. They do lack a dishwasher, which isn't the end of the world. Ours was a 2 bed, pullout bed sofa suite. It never felt cramped with 4 of us but might with 5 or 6. The ocean view was worth the upgrade- right out the balcony. I wish there was a screen door so we could sleep with the sounds of the waves (hint, hint comfort inn). There are some concerns. One of the side doors said it is locked 24 hours. My young daughter pushed on it one time and it opened. I tried it other times throughout our stay and it only locked part of the time. With it being the closest to the boardwalk, this is a pretty big security issue. Our room door didn't always close completely. We came in from the beach and the door was open. I thought maybe someone left it open for us but no, it looked closed but wasn't completely. This is a security concern, especially if you close it at night and it is partially open like ours was. This wasn't a one time thing. The hotel pool was nice and warm, but that area seems severely neglected. There was a piece of plywood covering a hole in the men's changing room. One of the days we went swimming the pool had bits of paper towels and drink cups in it (gross!). One morning we were there as soon as it opened and there was trash and other things all over the ground from the night before. As others have mentioned, the elevators can be quite slow, especially on the upper levels. Lighting in the hallways was extremely dark, which made it feel unsafe and difficult to see. They really need to rethink this. Finally, while the staff were very kind, our stay started out less than ideal. We were half an hour early for check in. I was told they would let us know when things were ready. We went for a walk and came back 10 minutes before check in. There were 3 other families waiting. One by one they were called to the counter and told their room was ready. We waited and waited. Almost an hour after check in (close to 2 hours after we arrived) I went to the front desk to ask about our room. "It's been ready for a while". Why they didn't let us know is beyond me. Annoying when the start of your vacation is delayed for no reason.

You can still catch the trolley from this location to head all the way up to the beginning of the boardwalk if you don't feel like walking. The rooms are always spotless. We have never had an issue with our rooms. Always clean, and smelling good. The hotel has two pools, one is larger than the other. The second pool is a bit smaller but is a little less popular, which we like! This hotel is close (walking distance) to many restaurants and things to do, including Blu, Happy Tales, Embers, Happy Jacks, and Sahara Cafe (just to name a few). Directly across the street, there are two different mini golf places. Jolly Rogers is just a short drive (about 7 blocks) up the street. Lastly, the staff is amazing. They're always so polite and seem to actually be excited when people arrive. I highly recommend this hotel!!

It offers zero privacy since you can hear everything, so it's better suited for couples than groups or families. The staff was very friendly and kind, which made the stay nicer. Breakfast was simple but decent with oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, apples, and juice served until 10 am. All in all, it's a solid choice if you want a clean, affordable place with a great location. The breakfast is standard, there were hot items (meat, scrambled eggs, potato), oatmeal, cereals, fruit, also different breads and pastries. You would have to be pretty finicky to not find something to start the day. Coffee and tea are available 24/7, and they have a little pricey mini-market. Overall the place definitely has a dorm vibe to it. I haven't lived in a dorm in 45 years, so it had no particular appeal to me, but I wasn't bothered by it. There always seemed to be music playing, it wasn't too loud or anything, it felt a bit liked forced festivity. I could do without that. The room was large and clean, very spartan in setup which I kind of like. Minimal works. I don't need drawers but for some reasone because there weren't any I felt a bit deprived. I saw a review that mentioned storage, that must be a different kind of room. The shower was very good, hand wand and traditional shower head, good water pressure and hot. The wand has "thrust" sensation. The bed was comfortable enough, but not as good as other places I have stayed (I am a bit spoiled by my Marriott properties preference). I didn't book this, it was selected by travel team at my employer. We got a govt. rate for a conference I was attending, but still $325 a night [no way its worth that], location, in-season and conference in town. Yes corporate greed and price gouging is a thing. On third floor so no particular view, I had a sense of the ocean from my room window and understood the concept of the bay on the other side of the condos I could see from the elevator lobby window. The room has plenty of storage and a desk area for your items. The bathroom is a nice size with hand soap, shampoo/conditioner and lotion are provided within the bathroom. The hotel is located right near a local bus stop, which is great when traveling to the boardwalk area. It was great to have a bus stop right at the hotel. What I didn't care for was the noises at night. It constantly sounded like someone was trying to open my room door, although I never saw anyone in the hallway and the AC was loud. It was noisy overall and hard to get a good nights sleep.
