    Blue water that is swimable.
    Seth G.

It was nice that the pool had blue swimable water, unlike the last hotel I stayed at. Took a dip before the drive home, which is always refreshing. Is this place something special, no it is not. It is a nice place to put your head down for the night at a reasonable rate for being just off Route 50. The folks at the front desk were very nice and seemed happy that I choose to say here. The room was clean, with a mini fridge, microwave and all the needed cable channels. It was very nice to be able to open the window get the fresh air in the room. No, there was no smells. It is just nice when it is cool outside to enjoy it and not the A/C most places make you have to deal with, since the windows do not open. Breakfast has two Wafflebots!! Pancakes suck and waffles rules when they come from a Wafflebot.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights. The hotel is SO worth what you pay. It's budget friendly and does not let you down. The pictures are exactly what you get. It's clean and modern. The rooms are slightly on the small side but nothing to complain about. The towels and sheets felt very clean. Stephanie at the reception desk was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast consisted of fresh Belgian waffles, yogurt, 2 types of cereal, orange juice, hard boiled eggs and toast. The breakfast room is a little small. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends and I would stay here again. There are brand name hotels nearby that are $100 a night. This hotel is exceptional compared to brand name hotels nearby. Very pleased.

The room itself was bright with Orange and tan accents. The bed, King size was very comfortable. It had a small microwave, fridge and the usual Iron/ironing board, safe. The bathroom had a back-lit mirror and heavy glass sliding doors. I'll keep this on my list of places to stay. Oh and the price was right!

The Holiday Inn manager, Ann refused to apologize and falsely accused me and my family member for the disgusting state of the hotel room due to her poor managment, quality control and housekeeping. Laurie and the breakfast attendant were wonderful! They get a 5/5. Ann would get zero based on her nasty attitude and poor customer service. She knows that none of that furinture had been cleaned for months. March 3rd my elderly, disabled relative who was wearing a mobility boot and I checked out of our room early because a large bug was on my bed and the overall lack of cleanliness we discovered in the full sunlight. I called the front desk several times from my cell phone (because the room phone was broken) and finally spoke to Silas around 8 am and asked him to come inspect the room. He said he couldn't and would have to wait until the manager arrived around 9-9:30. We checked out and I called around 12 when I didn't hear anyone. Around 2 pm, the manager Ann W called and said she inspected the room with a 3rd party and they confirmed that it was a ladybug, "the room was utilized" and she found nothing wrong with the room. I asked her again, did she personally inspected the room and found it to be clean. She said yes - she couldn't tell what we did to the room versus the state of the room before we came. I told her that was insulting. She didn't apologize. I asked how could we leave the following stains on the furniture between 8pm and 8am the following day: - old, crusty white stains and dried spills on the desk chair, the sofa - dried red/black stains behind the toilet and in the refrigerator -hair in the shower that doesn't match our color, length or texture? I told her we had pictures and she said she did too and repeated that the room was fine and added had there been a problem we could have been moved. Laurie can confirm that she showed me another room when I checked in and I requested that room to be cleaned before she realized I had a reservation for another room. Laurie was wonderful she tried to help us with the thermostat and the phone which were both broken. Ann W. was smug, dismissive, and disrespectful for implying that we could be responsible for old stains from previous guests and poor housekeeping. We drove over 3 hours and I was sick and needed the handicap-accessible room. We ate in the lounge and only had enough time to sleep and left early. Our trip was cut short because of the bad experience.

Extremely disappointed with Choice Hotels' handling of an honest booking mistake…read more I booked accommodations for my family through a basketball tournament hotel block for Ocean City, Maryland. My family of six required a room configuration with three beds, and during the booking process I ended up with a reservation at the Country Inn & Suites in Salisbury instead of Ocean City. I did not realize the issue until the day of arrival because I genuinely believed I had booked through the tournament lodging process for Ocean City. When I discovered the mistake, I immediately contacted both the hotel and Choice customer service. I fully understand that the reservation was non-refundable and that I ultimately completed the booking. However, what was most disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility or goodwill. I am a Choice Privileges member, I booked the correct hotel immediately, and Choice ultimately received payment for both reservations--more than $800 total from my family for the same weekend. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. A partial refund, travel credit, reservation transfer, or even some form of goodwill accommodation would have demonstrated that the company values long-term customers. Instead, the answer was simply "no." Mistakes happen. Customer service is measured by how companies respond when they do. Choice Hotels had an opportunity to retain a loyal customer and earn goodwill with my family. Instead, this experience left me feeling that loyalty and common-sense circumstances were not taken into consideration. As things stand today, I do not expect to stay at a Choice Hotel again and will be looking to other hotel brands for future family travel.

I went to the desk and they offered me a different room. That room had wet floors, a very strong chemical smell, food and dead bugs on the floor and the ac unit dripping water onto the floors. They offered me a third room which again had food and dead bugs on the floor, weird substance down the wall. And as I walked past the bathroom, somewhere else a toilet must have been flushed but toilet water shot up out of the toilet in this room. I said no and asked for a refund. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere! Management also proceeded to try to gaslight me saying that nothing could be find to make me happy and that I was "looking for issues". Meanwhile, several other patrons were also being switched to different rooms because of issues in theirs. I've never refused to stay someplace before but there's no way I was sleeping here!
