If it was possible to leave negative Stars, I certainly would. Hotel is completely run-down. Termite infestation in my room that they apparently knew about; no hot water; and no phone in the rooms. At midnight, someone attempted to kick my door in, causing me to call 911 and have 3 Salisbury Police Department Officers respond. The police told me that they routinely are called to this location for a variety of problems. After the police cleared the scene, the manager had the nerve to ask me if I was going to check out. I booked a room with a king size bed through expedia. When we arrived the clerk said they didn't have any king size beds available I told her we paid for a king size bed they ended up giving us someone else's room. We booked a non smoking room when we walked in the room it reeked of cigarette smoke there were burn holes in the comforter, sheets, the walls, and the bath tub. The wall has large holes in it and the door has about an inch gap at the bottom the heat is rolling in. The room is not good. The pool is covered and there is trash on the top of the pool cover and a dirty old mattress laying beside it with a broken chair. There is trash all over the ground outside. I am highly unsatisfied. I literally don't want to give it 1 star!!!! The first night I looked past it because it was jeep week in OC with no places available to stay last minute. It was dirty , the carpet turned my socks black, the toilet was broke, the sink couldn't be used because when you turn the water on it clogged and wouldn't drain for hours, the bed spread had cum stains , when asked for another one they gave me a dirtier one, the walls and doors had bugars and blood stains, the freezer was so disgusting with blood from meat soaked into the frost that stunk up the entire room when you opened it. The place was literally a crack motel. I just locked up my stuff and dealt with it because I was 6 hours from home and there were no rooms available anywhere. But I paid almost 300$ for a weekend at a hotel worth 40 a night if that. The second day the TV stopped working, and when we were laying down around midnight. For 2 hours I kept hearing noises. Got up at 2am and checked to find mice in my trash can. I put the trash outside but it didn't stop them. They were terrorizing the room and chewing on my belongings all night. When I called the front desk no answer. When I called at 8am the front desk clerk told me it wasn't that bad or I wouldn't have stayed and hung up on me. His name was Shawn!! You will be making a huge mistake if tou stay here!! Sunday morning the police was in the parking lot because a guest had his truck window smashed and all his tools stolen . Room number 142 was broken off the door. Carpet was moist. Room had been a smoking room and covering odor did not work. Room was full of flies. Room had several broken and missing tiles at the baseboard. Paint was peeling on the bathtub. Arm chair was dirty. All the furniture was damaged. Iron was missing. Ice bucket still had water from previous guest. Tray was dirty. Soda machines did not work. RUN, RUN AWAY FAST. Booked for three nights. Got there the cigarette smell was overwhelming coming from bathroom vent. Quickly noticed no working telephone, and no garbage can. The room smelled of stale cigarettes (we requested smoke free), bathroom was less than clean, people/guests were sitting in chairs outside rooms, an obviously homeless man was reclining on the stairs that we needed to use andwould not move as we tried to pass and he smelled of urine. We were afraid to leave our vehicle, thinking it would be stripped or vandalized. After a tense few hours (we had been on the road for 13 hours), we checked out. Worse place I've ever been in. I stayed here on 3/10/17, on my way to Virginia Beach. I am 5 months pregnant so figured that stopping for a quick rest would be helpful. I booked online ahead of time for a king size bed and was on my way. Check in seemed to go smoothly and lobby looked nice enough but when I got to my room, it was 2 double beds, not the king size bed I had reserved (I was traveling with my husband). I called the front desk and the lady told me there were "no king rooms available". So why did it let me reserve and pay for one then?! Upon further investigation of the room, we discovered that it was FILTHY!! Circular stains/marks on the bed spread, towels in the bathroom looked like someone wiped their makeup off and hung them back up, the toilet which was "sealed for our protection" had tons of who knows what splattered on the inside. I called some other local hotels and could not get a room. It was around 11pm at this point so out of exhaustion, I laid down to sleep. An hour later, I woke up to someone screaming at their wife/girlfriend in the next room over. Not a typical argument, literally screaming curses and banging. Suddenly, about 10 of their "friends" came over and also started yelling, running around, asking each other for a smoke, etc. This went on for over an hour. Finally fell asleep when the heater kicked on and acted like a noise machine to drown out their screaming. At 4am I woke up again...feeling like something was crawling on my arm. I grabbed at it frantically and turned the light on. It was BED BUGS!!! We jumped up, grabbed our things and left immediately!! When I told the night manager why we were leaving, she just said "Ok, they'll probably spray the room", as if it were no big deal. My hands are covered in bed bug bites now and I have to deal with how to properly clean my items so I don't end up with an infestation at home!!! This place is truly a health hazard. I was not expecting anything fancy because I was just staying there for one night and just wanted to enjoy the day at the beach. firstly The bathroom was very dirty, Several flies, holes in the wall and for some reason there was either tissue or paper towel in the smoke detector. As soon as I opened up the door the room reeked of weed and I requested a non-smoking room for me and my child. I could not sleep that night because the flies kept irritating me and the air-conditioner was right next to me sitting on the floor. I was not going to write a review but as I was driving I noticed there were several bug bites on my arm whenever I started itching. So I'm pretty sure that room 210 has bedbugs I just pray that the bugs did not come with me in my car or in my home. Cheap accommodations are one thing, this experience is something else entirely. There was one iron and ironing board between all the rooms in the hotel. A metal shard of the box spring stuck out and hung perilously at shin stabbing height. The televisions are 20 years old and blurry at best. I frequent Day's Inn hotels many times on my travels. Generally they are affordable, clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. NOT AT THIS DAYS INN. Had the worst hotel stay of my life last weekend. I needed an affordable hotel for my son's baseball tournament. Lobby was filled with cluster flies (so rather gross walking in) and the front desk staff were lethargic at best. Was given our keys which worked but the room was awful (unfortunately other hotels were booked up for the tournament so we were stuck). Air conditioner made cool air but it was humid and moldy smelling. The trash had been emptied but there was trash behind it from the previous occupant. The furniture needed desperately to be replaced. We were awakened at 1:30am with loud shouting and arguing going on and loud people running up and down the stairs. The noise went on for over an hour. When I was checking out I told the front desk and they calmly told me that the police had to be called the the people escorted off property. I guess that is a fairly common occurrence here because they did not seem to be the least bit concerned. Spend a little more and stay somewhere nicer. read more

So the hotel was fine. For the most part. The room was pretty clean, spacious enough for us to set up shop for our 10 month old. We were only there for a night en route to OCMD but our biggest complaint - the TV wasn't working. It was on analog, fuzzy, annoying to watch. We initially thought the remote batteries were dead bc that wasn't working either but turns out that it was the wrong remote - different brand from the TV. The water in the faucet sink came out mostly as a drip so that was pretty annoying. And the lamp next to our bed wasn't working either. All in all this wouldn't have been a big deal, particularly because we were there for only one night - however - this room cost us $140!!!!! I have no idea why the room rate was so high (2 weeks from now it's down to $68 where it belongs!) but I was infuriated! I have stayed at some really nice hotels for $140 so this was reallllllly frustrating! It's fine for a night or two, just don't spend what we did!! read more

I stayed here for 4 days, got a great rate over Christmas (not enough space to stay at my niece's apartment). The front desk staff were indifferent. Twice my key card stopped functioning. The room was clean, but 4 drawers on various furniture wouldn't stay closed. The first night was noisy outside, lots of people coming and going and talking loudly. Wifi was pretty good once I figured out everything. The best part of my stay was the housekeeper. She was nice, friendly, and made sure I had all I needed within her power, like extra coffee. Nice that the room had the coffeemaker (requires special disposable coffee baskets and coffee packets), mini fridge, and microwave. There's every kind of fast food imaginable nearby. Big downer on my last day was I started seeing bugs, and I'm fairly sure after a Google search that they were bed bugs. Now I'm paranoid I brought them to my home. read more

There is a mini fridge that is wide enough to fit your Papa Johns delivery--I say this because when you end up here randomly when your car breaks down at night on Eastern Shore and you missed dinner, you will be glad to find the Papa Johns ad and full delivery menu on the nightstand--SOLD. When I got to the room, some young men were drinking beers with loud music around cars in parking lot. The room smells so bad with cigarette and weed. The smell made my wife and my son coughed. I came back to the office and was given the spay. I tried the spray but it was not much better. The sheets and towels seemed also unclean. Since it was late (9 pm) and we had no choice to stay in the terrible room for the night. I complained to another customer service in the morning. She offered to refund me 15%, but I did not take it because 15% off is not what I want. I cancelled other Days Inn book for the next destination. I will never, ever book any room from Days Inn.
