Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience here. I paid for a braid takedown, wash, and shampoo. The braid takedown went well, but everything after that was a problem. First, I was charged TWICE for my service. I had proof of both charges, and instead of the owner being helpful and trying to correct the issue, I felt like I was getting the runaround and that she really didn't want to rectify the situation. Mistakes happen, but customer service is about how you handle those mistakes. On top of that, the wash was horrible. I paid to have my hair properly washed and shampooed, but when I left, my hair and scalp were STILL dirty. My hair was also still damp when I left. I shouldn't have to go home and wash my own hair after paying someone else to do it. The most disappointing part was the lack of concern when I brought these issues up. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--I simply wanted the service I paid for and the duplicate charge corrected. I really wanted to have a good experience here, especially because the braid takedown went well, but between the poor wash, leaving with dirty and damp hair, being charged twice, and the way the situation was handled, I won't be returning. read more

I have thick hair and was done in 4 hours with boho knotless. Clean location and I had two braids at some points. Parking close is very limited in the parking deck connected. I'm not one to write a poor review, but this is possibly the worst hair experience I have ever had in my entire life. As a hair service provider, I can tell you one things for certain two things for sure if someone does not like their hair I am not going to demonize them for that. I'm going to figure out a solution and keep it pushing. No.... they wanted to put the burden of proof on me as far as why my hair did not turn out the the way I requested it to when in actuality they didn't listen to me about how the parts sizes should be. I came to my appointment with examples, color mix breakdowns, and exact sizing information. They didn't listen to me about what colors should be used (majority 4, with 77,613) and did a full hair of color 27 with a little 4 mixed in. They didn't listen to the sizing of parts which was a medium part with small braids and gave me small braids so that they can then up charge me to $370 for my style instead of the $280 promotion they have going. As a fine haired natural girl I know how much my hair can take and its density so I know that medium size parts work for my hair. The sizing of my parts are so small that I can feel my roots straining to hold up the braid. None of the braids were secured with a knot and were coming loose as soon as I left the establishment and made it back to my home, which is only seven minutes away. The color was so off I attempted, however, to fix it on my own by dyeing it to alleviate having to request a full refund from the company alas, dyeing the hair did not suffice and the style was unsalvageable. And to top it all off the professionalism of this establishment and its management is nonexistent. I called the manager first thing in the morning, as my appointment was late. The manager had the audacity to get on my phone with the nastiest attitude and accost me regarding my displeasure, tell me to be quiet several times while explaining what occurred, made threats, and weaponized my warranted frustration instead of figuring out a way to calmly come to a resolution. I would absolutely never recommend this place to a single soul. I would rather do my own hair than to waste my time and my money here. You have been warned. read more

I made my appointment online for this place. Stayed at the Embassy Suites in Kennesaw. I went here because they accept Afterpay. I ended up paying cash because I didn't read the new way of paying with cash app. I figured it out later. I went to the 1 in Kennesaw. The service was very good. Fatu did my hair and was very sweet. The only thing requested to get my hair washed because it was over $300 without coupon. I didn't get my hair washed. It all good. I will be coming back for sure. read more

I can't recommend this place unless under VERY specific conditions and even then, don't listen to me. It's a risk. I didn't have time for a regular shop. Customer Service is Naija Coded. Fuck You Pay Me. It isn't luxury, appointments are meh, it's just your regular braiding shop but less crowded. They advertise a 1 hour sew in. I got there at 5:10 and left around 9 with a scarf on. I asked about a wash when I called to make an appt. Sure. $20. I didn't have time to wash it at home and should have. The shampoo and conditioner were so cheap I could feel my scalp drying out in the bowl. The woman washing it acted as if I had stolen her lunch. They didn't detangle my hair before washing. Luckily I had. They dragged a semi warm blow dry brush through my hajr. Literally dragged. Raking it. I could hear the breaking. Didn't even dry it completely. I sat for 15-20 minutes while she worked on someone's else braids. As I considered leaving she came back. She did an excellent braid down. Then she went back to braid the other lady again. This time 30 minutes. I've been there nearly 2 hours at this point. She comes back and asks me to thread her needle for her. I become part of the team and sit threading needles. I see all the internal signs and who to call if there's a problem. It's woefully unprofessional. I considered calling Obed to complain but I assume he's the big guy snoring loudly in the seat behind me. She finally comes back. Completed the install and then plugs in a hot comb. Asks me to see what the temperature says. She finished the sew in and then begins yanking the comb through my leave out. I ask her to stop and tell her I'll do it at home. So for $170 I got a sew in. The problem is for $170 I could have gotten a decent wash, sew in, and style in less time at a shop. I came here because it was supposed to be fast. No frills. In and out. If it were $100 I may go again after washing and drying my own hair . But for the service, quality, and results it's overpriced and overhyped. read more

I took 2 of my sons, one to get his hair twisted for starter Locs and the other to get a retwist. I booked online and then went inside and spoke to the stylist. They started on my son's hair 3 hours after the time we booked online. They up charged me for washing my son's hair (a service I added when booking) and then went up in price when his hair was 3/4 of a way done. She stated his Locs were smaller so the price changed. I stated this should have been discussed when I came in before they started. The son who received the twists, the parts were not even, they were different shapes and they were fat. We took them down. In the end, she gave me a "discount" for starting their hair late which brought me closer to our originally agreed upon price. I'm just disappointed as I was so happy to see a braiding salon so close to my home. I wish them well but I will not return. read more

I came to Bestie Vibe Salon for a simple refresh on my boho knotless braids, which were already styled and clearly visible for reference. Despite multiple explanations and even involving someone to help translate, the stylist didn't follow the method I requested. Halfway through, she adjusted her technique, but the style was already uneven. As I was leaving, pieces were falling out, and I pointed out the blunt, unfinished sections--nothing was fixed. When I returned the next day, the stylist refused to redo more than one braid and dismissed my concerns. She literally huffed and puffed about even that, her vibe was really off. Had a 9am appointment and didn't start until 12. I called yesterday and someone told me the price was 30-35$ but when I asked in the chair they told me 40. After taking the hair out they did not comb it or even try. They left many tangles and knots almost as if on purpose. She clearly could of helped untangle or keep it from matting as she went, but I left with a head full of knots to the root. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH OF YOUR HAIR. Questionable for sure. *Long review* If I could give zero stars I would the owner is a scammer! I came in 5/7/2025 the stylist was 2 hours late to my service. The stylist Rama did a horrible job on hair and I wasted a lot of money and did not get the style I wanted. Rama put nail glue on my hair instead of a knot like most traditional braiding stylist do and had a terrible attitude the entire service and left early (because she was tired and rushed me to pay without looking in the back of my head to see the white residue from the nail glue she placed on my natural hair that is a good length. I arrived at 5 pm and did not leave until 3 am the following morning. I called owner as soon as I left shop and he said he would fix it and later ghosted and did not fix it. I contacted him several times and he did not respond and gave me the run around (keep in mind this was for my graduation)! Since he did not want to fix my hair nor give me my money back I decided to dispute the charge $350 is a lot of money for braids that were falling out in less than 24 hours and 3 different sizes and did I add the curls a not included and this was for mid back length. Oh and the noticeably white residue from nail glue lol the stylist didn't even hide the nail glue I took a picture see attached. (There's more I'm not close to being done keep reading) doing the dispute on afterpay you can see the comment the merchant says and the scammer of a owner did nothing but lie even went as far and saying I never calls him nor send pictures in which I did! Owner state that I messed my hair up on vacation which I did not go on vacation it was for my graduation! I need a vacation after this horrible experience. Owner even went as far as saying I was trying to get a free hair do this was my second time coming you did a horrible job the stylist was rube and lazy and on top of it all used nail glue on my hair. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the Braiders were very nice. On the business side I would offer a 2. I was not pleased with how my 20% discount was not honored when I booked my appointment in March. Also I booked free wash and they tried to charge me for the wash when I showed up. I asked so if human hair was used I was told yes but they used synthetic hair. read more

The aesthetic is great for an African Braiding shop. I will start with a compliment. But because I have little hair, I try not to complain. BUT i had to ask five times+ how much my hair was gonna be once she got started. I threaten to walk out just to get an answer. She braided my hair entirely too tight for this childish cornrow style I got. She did not braid the style that I asked for & I had a photo reference. She knew she was dead wrong and discounted my rate at checkout, which is the only reason why I didn't have her redo my hair plus I was afraid the retry would rip my hairout. So I settled. She was at least accountable without me having to ask for a discount so I tipped her, but I was very disappointed. I can guarantee she has damaged my hair at the follicle level. But everybody knows not to get your hair braided at the end of the day silly me. I got there at 5p they closed at 8p. So I guess it was my fault. A week later an I'm still pissed. More like bad vibes. Beware if you are have them wash your hair. The cleanliness is questionable. Braider tried to use a comb blow dryer on me that she used on a prior client. All she did was pull the hair out. When I stopped her and said something she pulled out another dryer (same comb-style) and sprayed Lysol on it to "disinfect". Plus they didn't spray heat protectant when going to blow dry my hair because it "sets off the smoke alarms". I'd rather figure out what to do with my hair before I leave tomorrow then have them do my hair. read more

A great experience was had at this salon. I found Bestie Vibes on Instagram and Started DM to ask a lot of questions about the style I wanted to get (Shoulder Length Boho Style). They answered each question promptly for me and their website for booking the appointment was a breeze as well. I still had questions and ended up speaking directly to the braider and the owner and both of them were very informative. I scheduled my appointment for Monday 1/15/2024 @ 10am and received an email reminder of my appointment (which was great) and a call the morning of my appointment. When I got there, I was greeted with a friendly hello from Ayesha and she immediately went to work on my head! She was very informative and took no time to get me the correct hairstyle! When I say I'm so happy with my hair and experience overall with @bestievibes I will definitely be back for my next style with Ayesha. Her work is excellent, precise, top tier and beautiful. It only took five hours which was amazing! I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family members. The salon was super neat, clean and spacious! read more
