Been there once only! But it was very good. I highly recommend if you need a good acupuncturist in the neighborhood.

We…read moredid many rounds of IVF with them and everyone there was so helpful, sensitive and kind through all of our ups and downs. They were always available to talk or for a last minute visit. Every single member of the staff is overwhelmingly dedicated and caring, they make every patient feel like family. The surgery office by Wall Street also really makes you feel safe and comfortable, and the surgery staff and anesthesiologists are wonderful. My husband and I struggled with poor genetic quality with the embryos we produced, and Dr. Kofinas recommended trying PRP in my ovaries. Shortly after we became pregnant with a healthy baby girl, who was born recently. I couldn't recommend the Kofinas fertility team more.

Walking into the office the first time, coming off of a couple of failed ivf cycles with a previous doctor I was nervous and emotional and a little defeated. Dr. Kofinas examined me and discovered that I had many more fibroids than I had known about and a significant amount of endometriosis that I had not known about at all. He seemed confident that this was the reason I wasn't getting pregnant and we quickly scheduled my surgery to correct these issues. I can't explain the emotion and relief I felt to finally feel like there was a reason for my lack of success and not just "unexplained infertility ", the diagnosis that my previous doctor had given me. I had proceeded with multiple egg retrievals and finally a successful embryo transfer a few months ago! Through the entire process the professionalism and kindness and personalized approach to myself and every patient was exceptional. The confidence and trust I had in Dr Kofinas was truly the most comforting thing through such and emotional process. All of the staff always greeted me with a smile and answered any questions in a way that took away any fear that I'd be fixated on. This entire office, and every one I encountered along the way in the manhattan surgical center, are a collection of such special people who are truly in the right profession and I can't express how grateful I am for each and every one of them. I'd be writing this same review even if my experience wasn't successful. Dr. Kofinas was extremely thorough and just an amazing doctor and person. Angels on earth! -Nancy Pollock

I arrived on time for my appointment, only to be left waiting to be let in by a nurse whom I later learned was named Jackie, who was visibly preoccupied--holding a Dunkin' Donuts coffee and texting on her phone. When she finally acknowledged me, her demeanor was rude and dismissive. She unapologetically mentioned that her train was late, as if that excused the delay in my care. When I asked how long it would be before I could see the doctor, since I also had professional obligations, she responded with sarcasm and muttered an incredibly offensive comment under her breath: "These dikes are going to just have to wait," followed by a chuckle. As someone who chose CCRM because of its reputation as an LGBTQ+ inclusive clinic, I was shocked and deeply hurt. No patient should ever be made to feel unwelcome or disrespected--especially in a space that promises compassionate and inclusive care. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge CCRM to reevaluate how their staff interact with patients, particularly those from marginalized communities.

After speaking to the financing manager I decided to leave prior to the testing. I paid my co-pay and left without any testing being performed. And then it went on to be more or less a cattle call. I felt like a cow waiting with the other cows in the waiting room and half the time the nurses didn't call you back until so late at night with instructions based on your lab, you were standing in your kitchen, hopped up on hormones out the wazhoo, ready to just go with your gut on the next move, because you get completely alone in this process. When they delivered my medication, it was left haphazardly in the lobby of the building I lived, which may I note does not have a doorman. But then it finally came to procedure day. I was waiting there. I had never been put under before, and as I sat there in the chair, a woman groaning, and in a bloody gown, walked by me. This did not help my anxiety levels. And yet I was ready to let all of this go since I got a decent amount of eggs out of it and you know what that's what I came here for--not frills not you know painless farting after the procedure, I came here for eggs and I got them. However, now that the climate disaster is eminent and I have decided that having kids would probably be a real bad idea, I'm trying to have them either donate my eggs to science or at the very least get rid of them so I don't keep paying the freezer fee. The second I didn't pay the fee they sent me to a collection agency and when I then emailed them about paying it they simply sent me a link to whatever the current payment system was. So now not only did I go through a terrible experience getting the eggs (though maybe I should just be thankful that I got anesthesia which was expensive but worth it), they won't even let me get rid of my own property and who knows for how long I will just keep paying this fee for something that I don't even want anymore. And for all I know this on top of everything else this screwed up my credit. As I said, don't do it. 2 stars for the anesthesia and the eggs

I was also closely followed by Lydia, PA, who was so kind, attentive, and always supportive. One of the first things he said to me was "don't worry we'll get you pregnant" and he kept his word. I am now 7 months pregnant with our baby girl after our first IVF cycle was a success. This was not by sheer chance; this was due to multiple testing methods, a personalized medication protocol, recommended vitamins, and months and months of visits and monitoring. All of which was facilitated by this wonderful team. We were about to lose all hope before we found Dr. Kofinas. To start, he found and treated my endometriosis. Despite my low AMH, they retrieved multiple eggs that fertilized successfully and we were even able to freeze a few embryos, giving us a chance at the large family we always dreamed of. This experience has been nothing short of a miracle and I am so grateful to this team for making it happen for us.

I wanted to work with a Known Donor so finding a clinic that would be very sensitive and honor my wishes was critical. I looked at a few different clinics but out of all of the clinics I toured, CUFC was the place I felt most comfortable. My doctor, Lauren Bishop, from our first interaction displayed tremendous empathy, consideration, sensitivity, and pragmatism. I knew that I would be able to have a child with the help of doctors and specialists at CUFC. My road to getting enough embryos for a transfer was long and unforgiving. When I suffered set-backs, Dr. Bishop and the care team provided me with the space to grieve while always being ready to reengage. When I decided to do an FET, I went in with very low expectations- the story I told myself was that my egg were "poor quality" and thus I shouldn't hope for one of my embryos to implant in my uterus. Dr. Bishop had faith and encouraged me to lean into the possibility. When I got my beta results, I was delighted; I had already had symptoms of pregnancy so receiving that verification that I was indeed pregnant, really was a sweet treat. I have now graduated from CUFC with my little embryo. We will be transitioning to our OB/midwife now. I will miss the team at CUFC- the effecient check-in's; being in-and-out of morning monitoring in 15 minutes flat; the ability to email my doctor/nurse/care coordinator; the constant flow of useful information about my labs and meds. While I love my midwife/OB's practice, I will deeply miss the care of CUFC.

Since I recently moved to New York from LA, I've been searching for a OBGYN, and thought I found…read morethe perfect match with the office of Dr. Goncharov. Unfortunately, due to their poor receptionists they lost a potential patient because of careless mistakes. I called on this past Monday to inquire if they were accepting new clients and accepted my new New York insurance. Wanita, who I spoke to said Dr. Goncharov did not, and I could see one of the nurses Marina instead who is in the office on Fridays in Manhattan. She scheduled me in for the same week on Friday. She needed to validate my insurance number (which I did not have at the time), and asked me to call back the next day. The following day, I called the office with the information and a different woman I spoke to had no idea who I was and had no idea about my appointment on Friday. First red flag. So I rebooked the appointment for the same time, and confirmed that they accepted the insurance. She said yes. This morning (Friday) hours before my appointment, I receive a phone call from Wanita asking for my insurance phone number because she has never seen the insurance before and was not sure if they accepted it after both of them confirmed they did. Is it that difficult to perform a Google search to contact them? Once again, I did not have the card on me and had to call her back with the telephone number, and wait for her to call me back 2 hours before the appointment to confirm if I could even go there. She said that Marina only took it (yes, we already established this and thats why the appointment was with her), but she wouldn't be in the office today. WTF? I had to cancel all of the arrangements I made to come into the office after I had already took the afternoon off of work to come in. Oh, and it gets worse. Wanita said that Marina is sometimes in the office on Fridays, but really had no idea if she would be there the following week or any future Friday in fact. It is a yes or no question after you look at the doctor's calendar. Seriously? Red flag after red flag, I finally said "I'll go somewhere else". It shouldn't take six phone calls to schedule an appointment. If they can't do that right, I'm not really sure if I'd want to trust them with my billing or body.

We delivered a healthy beautiful baby boy. While in the hospital, he was there every step of the way. Thank you so much for being so attentive to my concerns and needs.

If you have PCOS, endometriosis, etc., they will not try to get to the root issue and help you, they just want to push you to IVF. Outside of the questionable medical attention, my biggest gripe is with the admin. Nurses take forever to respond, procedures are not explained to you in advance, you do not have a direct line to finance, etc. I had to follow up nine times, including the day of a procedure for them to submit a pre-authorization. To make things worse, after I told them I was no longer seeing them, several weeks later RMA submitted a rogue pre-authorization to my insurance which caused a massive issue. I would seriously avoid this place at all costs. Reproductive health is stressful enough as it is. You don't need the extra layers of stress that RMA creates.

Service: Dr. Stein and his team were warm, professional, attentive, and easy to work with. The world of fertility is so complex, pretty terrifying, and sometimes incomprehensible but the staff at RMA always took the time to empathize and took the time to explain anything that seemed confusing. Huge shoutout to Tova Niderberg who was our IVF coordinator (unfortunately no longer at RMA) who helped us navigate through the intense processes of documentation, medical protocols, schedules for retrievals, and transfers. Another shoutout to Jo Anne Ndour of the Finance Team, who helped us with any financial situation. There were many times I was so emotional and anxious but Dr. Stein, Tova, Jo Anne and many others helped calm me down. RMA is a massive organization- so obviously sometimes you wait a long time to be seen, doctors can be in a rush, and sometimes a nurse would be curt and hurt you while prodding for a vein, but that happened rarely and overall our experience was very positive. Estimated total out-of-pocket cost (Male factor, AETNA Open Access Managed Choice POS 25/1000/NJ4) for 1 retrieval, 3 rounds of IVF/transfers, and all meds was around $9,166.46. - We qualified for AETNA's generous Infertility Care Program which covered more than half of the cost if you had a medical reason. - Egg/Embryo storage costs are NOT covered by insurance and are pretty steep but standard for NYC: $1000/year (the first year is included) Locations: RMA has many locations throughout New York and I haven't been to all of them besides the following: - Eastside @ 635 Madison Avenue: Retrievals and transfers happen here, large clean space and lovely staff. Unfortunately, your partner (or plus one) is not allowed during the actual retrieval/transfer procedures. - Westside @ 200 West 57th Street: Dr. Stein works out of this location. Also a large clean space and lovely staff. - Downtown @ 594 Broadway: Because I live in Brooklyn and work by Herald Square off the R/W line, I chose to swing by here for morning monitoring. I liked this location because it was so close to subway stations, and although the facility was on the smaller side was still clean and had friendly staff. (Out of the above Westside & Downtown had the nicest and most modern finishes, and obviously, the earlier you go for monitoring the fewer patients there are and faster you're in and out) - Brooklyn @ 26 Court Street: This was my least favorite location because the space is cramped and grungy with outdated finishes. It also didn't seem as clean as the other locations. It is close to many subway stations but it's impossible to find parking here. Other: - The more eggs you get from retrieval the better because the number of viable embryos you will end up with at the end after fertilization, freezing, grading, etc is around or lower than 1/5. For example, I had 35 eggs and ended up with 7 viable embryos. - The grading of your embryos can change upon thawing/freezing on the day of transfer Huge thanks to RMA for helping us bring our beautiful Sophia into this world, we are so grateful to have worked with you!!
