DCS is safe, positive and provides a diverse selection of advanced academics, athletic opportunities and enrichment programs. I've read other reviews, and no school is going to be a perfect fit for everyone. It's not reasonable to expect that. Schedule a tour and observe the students in their regular environment. It's a vast difference from the bullying, language and drama in other schools. You will see genuine friendship, acceptance, and camaraderie. It functions more like a public school with one added Bible class. Some students frequently fight--or as their discipline coordinator calls it, "roughhousing"--and there seems to be little control over students' language, so constant cursing is simply tolerated, pushing each other, hitting each other "playfully" is okay and if your child is in the crossfire or yourself "oh well".
