What a wonderful store to have stumbled across while walking down S. Union Ave. It was like walking…read moreinto a galley, where each (jigsaw) puzzle was a form of art. There was something for everyone to enjoy. - They recently opened in Dec of 2023 - so new that I had a hard time relocating them as it wasn't here or on either of the maps. - The majority are jigsaw puzzles from mini puzzles in test tubes up to the thousands. A section is provided for brainteaser puzzle toys, and there is a community puzzle out for the guests. - As a novice to the jigsaw world, I didn't realize the piece count went to 3,000 pieces, let alone, 42,0000 pieces - can you imagine how big the completed puzzle is!?! I believe it's 5' by something outrageous. - They have events, and a "take a puzzle leave a puzzle" cart, which I think is great! Especially for those who don't have friends to trade with. - The layout of the store is broken out by piece amount (500+, 1000-1500, etc.). There is a children's section, Disney, wooden heirloom puzzles, and specific types I have never heard of, like murder-mystery, and double-sided images. - I didn't get the owner's name, but there is something very endearing about the passion he has for puzzles, and the appreciation he has for the design and thought that goes into making them. - I found the prices to be reasonable - again, I am a novice to this world. I'm excited to visit again when I return for the holidays and wish the company nothing but success in the future. Give a look-see, if not to buy (though I hope you do), to hear the joy it brings others.

You can get NEW furniture cheaper at Walmart. It wasn't even solid wood, it was some wood veneer stuff. I mentioned something at the front and they went hard about oUr MiNiStRy and all of the programs they support. Which is fine and all, but the ministry can ALSO support low income people by not charging offensive prices on items they get for free. God only knows if they really use the money responsibly. (Also the lady who checked me out was standoffish with me from the get go, before I even opened my mouth to say hi.) The expectation, when one donates to a thrift store, is that their items will go to someone else who needs those items at an affordable price. Not that some organization will use the items to do charity gymnastics by overcharging. They should be focused first and foremost on ministering to the low-income people who come to thrift stores to get affordable furniture. Not freaking $300 for a small sideboard buffet. Anyway so I would recommend donating your furniture to the ARC rather than here, if you want to see it actually passed on affordably to families in need. But if you're looking to buy clothes, this is unfortunately probably the better bet in town. I feel gross giving them my money now. I think it's disgusting when any thrift shop takes advantage of donations finance their special interests. Just let people have somewhere affordable to shop; Lord knows we need it in this economy.
