What a gem! Great happy hour with loads of specials that goes until 8pm. Fun, comfy furniture and booths with various items to entertain like dominos and vintage Playboy mags. Free popcorn is a nice touch; I love the smell. They also have a pool table and human size jenga. No smoking inside! Picnic tables outside for that. I had no issue with service whatsoever even though the place was packed. Bartender and server were both efficient and attentive. Bathrooms are nice and clean. My only recommendation would be to turn down the a/c just a bit. It is freezing in there! Parking can be tricky in the area but they have valet ($10) and there's a garage one street over by capital grill. Bottom Line: Better Days is a refreshingly chill spot with a fun vibe, friendly crowd, and great prices. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood. read more

Nothing at all to rave over, looked like there was 3 bartenders on but only one was working (and for that I appreciate you girl) while the other 2 guys made sure to not look up or make eye contact with any of the guest at the bar. There was long intervals between drinks because it was difficult to catch the attention of the one poor girl running around servicing the semi full bar. Awesome new bar in Brickell that makes you feel like you're in Wynwood without having to drive to Wynwood and deal with parking. It's a "pop-up" bar which means it is only here for a limited amount of time and then it will move to a new location with possibly a different concept. Definitely check out while it is still here if you live in Brickell and are tired of all the loud bars! The decor is fantastic. The theme is old school Miami and especially for a temporary venue, they do a great job. The music is more laid back than a Brickell bar and it isn't too loud! You can actually hear someone talking right next to you without screaming! You have to go here to believe it. Plenty of seating and some fun bar games. Great place to meet up with a small group of friends or just meet a friend for a drink. Free popcorn!!!! My only complaint about this place is that their cocktail list could be better. There's only 4 cocktails on there, though they have a full bar and you could ask for something else. The cocktails range $8-10. I ordered the one with clamato juice and it was really bad. I actually couldn't even drink half of it. Some people like it though so just only order it if you've had drinks like that before and know you'd like it. I'd wish they had a few more cocktails on the menu, perhaps with whiskey or gin? That's really my only complaint but otherwise this place is great!! read more

I love Better Days! It's a go-to place for everyone from office for happy hour on a weekday. It has a kind of dive-y / Wynwood / hipster feel, which I absolutely love - super refreshing compared to so many of the stiff bars in the area. Most recently I went with coworkers for someone's birthday. I got there at about 7 pm, and the place was a little over half full - not that it's saying much, it's a small establishment. The bartender found me instantly and I ordered their house pale ale (not my favorite, but they were out of the hefeweizen). The bartenders were great! We all had our own tabs open but between the two of them they remembered our names and were overall really attentive. Super nice people, very laid back. As long as you're prepared to go elsewhere for food, Better Days will be there to make your day better :) read more

Went for a b'day party and half way thru the nite they ran out of all premium liquor so they can push their own brand of liqour "Wodka" lol the best was the bartender saying that it's a Saturday nite... I' ve been assisting to this place for at least 5 years for happy hours and after office meetings with friends. I went yesterday with a group of friends and we were treated very bad by the manager (lady) who seems to be a little racists against Latinos....she had a very aggressive attitude toward clients; she clearly does not have the experience to manage people and loyal clients properly. Other employees approached us to apologize on behalf of "Better Days" which was actually a "Awful Day". I like the vibe of this place. With games and a pool table to keep the crowd from just drinking to oblivion. I appreciate the free popcorn. The service was good and the cocktails I guess for the most part are decently priced but when you have to pay $12 valet parking because there's really no other option around these parts, it makes any future patronage contingent on finding free or cheaper parking. It'd also be nice if the prices for the cocktails were a bit more legible. I'm sure everyone sees the just fine but after my friend bitched about my drink being the most expensive one, I realized how the cocktails were not all the same price and how the prices were written in tiny font below. This place was a cool spot! They won me over when I saw they had a complementary popcorn machine....WINNING! I came here on a Thursday night before labor day weekend. Very convenient if you're staying at the W, it's right across the street (walking distance.) I read reviews that people said is was a speakeasy, but it's not. It's just a bar in a plaza. The place stays open until 5:00 am which is crazy seeing that everything closes in LA at 2:00 pm. Drinks were good and reasonable priced compared to everywhere else in Miami. Pool table keeps getting upgraded but still has some issues, don't bet any money based on your skills, as the table will make you loose it all... If I can give this place 0 stars I would. So my friends and I went to this bar and a girl walked by my friend and put her hand in his pocket trying to steal something out of it. As he realized it and stopped her and asked what she was doing she said "I work here", as if whether she worked there or not gave her the right to be putting her hand in someone's pockets. The owner came and didn't really confirm if she apparently worked there or not and defended her in the situation. Even if she worked there, we were not doing anything wrong, just standing there enjoying a drink, which doesn't give her any reason regardless as to why she should be putting her hands in someone's pockets. Claimed it was a "mistake" that her hand happened to be inside my friends pocket. I'm very sorry but there's no way a hand can just slip inside a man's skinny jean's pocket. He then proceeded to kick my friends and I out for being upset about the situation, which we had every right to be. The owner was one of the most disrespectful people I have ever met, shoving me around the bar until I left and shoving me in front of his bar while the security guards were even telling me "don't react to him he's a dickhead". In theory better days seemed like my kind of bar. Laid back but still cool with a kinda hipster vibe. It kind of felt like this but also came off grimey. As someone else mentioned they don't have a drink menu which kind of makes their herbs section look just for show. Upon trying to ask for a drink I got carded which I always expect but not when they card you at the front to get in. I ended up going with a vodka and grapefruit tonic. While I'm usually a fan of this combo I was very thankful for the added lime because I had to squeeze the whole thing to tolerate the drink. The place was pretty crowded and the music was pretty loud considering it's not really a dance type of bar. I was disappointed to find the popcorn machine not on while we were there and the pool table seemed to be just a spot for people to lean their backs as no one was playing. We ended up sitting on a couch that was in front of a TV playing some 90s power rangers that got us in our nostalgic feels. Overall an average bar I can't say I'll be rushing back. read more

This is this first time I've left a review on any establishment; however based on my experience this evening I felt obligated. I took a lime out of the bar tenders jar because the drink I was given was slightly too strong for my liking. That being said, there's an argument to be made I was wrong in doing so; however the bartender completely lost his mind via cursing at me and threatening to cause physical harm to me. All I said in return because I'm 38 years old and not a child is don't curse at me. This meat head bartender with dreads proceeded to walk around the bar to cause physical harm to me if not for other bouncers intervening. I'm a professional with a successful career that didn't deserve such an intimating reaction and potential scenario that could have caused me serious physical harm by simply taking a lime. Ultimately, I was removed from the establishment calmly because I wasn't drunk due to the aforementioned drink being my second of the night. It's unfortunate bars and lounges employee people that cannot control this anger issues, which now make patrons feel scared to simply have a drink. Shame on Better Days for making a patron feel intimidated and I recommend people sharing similar experiences at this establishment. Please stay away until this establishment takes their patrons safety seriously. Thank you and I hope people feel comfortable enough to share potentially similar experiences. Response to Days B It's unfortunate as a business owner you're trying to justify an employees aggressive and attacking behavior. You're employee came around the bar to fight a patron. I'd love to watch the camera with you because you'll see an extremely CALM patron trying to de-escalate your employee from causing physical harm to a paying customer. Based on your illogical thinking its very obvious you promote physical violence at your establishment and I'm going to make sure I make everyone aware of your justification for said violence. Days B - as a business owner myself, a simple hey buddy totally unacceptable reaction and I'm happy to discuss what happened and hope to understand and resolve this unfortunate situation. Yes, the AC was broken, and as I understand it, this isn't the first time. Now, it's bad enough that the AC was broken, and truly, I wouldn't write this review and give this place two stars based on something that, for lack of a better phrase, is an Act of God. Really, I would've let this place sit under, "Your Next Review Awaits" on Yelp indefinitely until some future patronage. BUT. This one guy... Look, I understand. It must suck to work in those conditions. In that space. No ventilation. Heat. All this cold beer that you can't drink because you're on the clock. But to react to a customer asking about the AC with (I'm paraphrasing), "If someone else asks me about the AC, I SWEAR TO GOD..." Bro, I'm trying to give you money. There's no need for that. Answer the question, and if it's annoying, then put up a sign outside so that drunken wayfarers are warned before stumbling in. And if this is a constant occurrence, then... fans? Maybe? No? OK. Went into better days to get a drink. Place was not too busy. Bar was full so I stood at the end with my better half to order a drink. Waited about 5 minutes without so much as even a glance from the 3 people behind the bar. Finally, a very sweet patron who was sitting at the bar came over to me and said that if I sat, I could get table service. I thanked her and went to sit down. Sat down. Waited. Left. I think Better Days has seen better days as evidenced by the 5 star reviews. I was there last night, unfortunately I had a terrible experience. I was with a group of 7 people, having a few drinks and playing pool. I politely asked the bartender to change my drink as I purchased a red bull vodka and my girl friend wanted instead vodka/water. He not only refused to do so, he told me that he would serve it as long as I paid him for the drink. Also, told me that his bar was "No K-mart" and if I wanted to get what I wanted I should have gone to Wallmart. DO NOT GO. This is a terrific kitschy neighborhood bar with a unique retro 70s feel. Don't go here hungry, as the best munchies here is the popcorn. However, the beers are great ad the drinks are generally very well made. It does get crowded on the weekends, but this is a more than welcome alternative to some of the more overpriced places around it. read more

As I was clicking the number of stars I would award Better Days, I was struck by the "Yay! I am a fan," for the four stars. I thought to myself, "Wait, am I a fan?" I mean, I have been here at least four times now, and in a weird way, it has slowly become a go-to for me because of the $3-beer happy hour and popcorn, but am I a "fan?" The only conclusion I could draw was that not recognizing I am a fan is exactly the reaction Better Days desires. I mean, when you walk in, the bar is designed to not be special, which is exactly what makes it special. Its haphazard collection of couches and brick-a-brac adorned with rowdy pool players and popcorn is only unique because it is supposed to be as pedestrian as your lower-middle-class living room (that is, of course, what hipsters crave.) So interesting! Special effects aside, the bar provides a great atmosphere to have a casual night out with friends and engage in the never-have-I-ever type conversations that result from friendship or just the perverse Jenga sets scattered throughout the bar. Some will also be happy to know that Better Days is not a human meat market, so you can safely patronize knowing you will not face unwanted advances or unexpected bothers. In some ways, it is as private as your living room. So, if you are in Brickell and want a cool little place to chill with some friends, I highly recommend Better Days. read more
