Called Dr Sparks and explained what was happening. He had me send him photos of the unit and said he would come the following week. Since I never heard back, I called and was told he would be here the following morning. He never showed up. I called again and was told he had another job in New Jersey and he would try to get here today. After a few hours I called again. Still didn't know if he would get here but would call me if he could come. He never called me. It is obvious that he did not want to do the job even though he was the contractor who installed the fan originally. He is a local contractor but my advice is to stay clear of Dr Sparks. My husband called Dominick to explain what happened (things happened it was probably a mistake). Dominick was NASTY and denied it ever happened. I told him I have the full report from Verizon explaining it was cut. Dominick DID NOT want to hear it. Do not use these people, horrible experience.

He told us what would need to be repaired and in what order of priority. No issues or questions that we discussed during the inspection were absent from the printed report. He was there early and was patient answering questions and used layman's terms while explaining things to us. We are now aware that we have a lot of work to put into our house, but we're prepared for it and know what needs our attention first. His fee was very reasonable and, including the termite and radon tests, was less than some other inspectors' fee just for the inspection. We are very happy with his work. Had to have multiple pumps replaced and had no hot water for a week 3 times within the first year. I don't recommend this company to anyone. Make you feel like it is your fault when something breaks and try not to fix the problem. I also had the same experience with my attic insulation as the other reviewer, Brian K. Building Sciences did some work for my husband in 2016. We…read morewould not advise anyone to work with this company. They installed a Ductless HVAC system in Jersey City. We had to remind them to obtain an electrical permit since they were connecting the units to the main electrical panel. After multiple back and forth emails and phone calls they started applying for the permit but never followed through. We still do not have a permit for the work that was completed almost 2 years ago! If you choose to work with them beware -YOU need to know the permits that are required and you cannot rely on them. They also did some insulation work and the workers were very messy. We had to call them back but the terra cotta floor was never the same. We have been extremely patient with Rashid because our parents also owned small businesses but the experience was most definitely not a good one. His office staff was nice, i.e. Abigail, Chris, etc., but they are over worked it seems.

Wow, seeing a lot of negative reviews makes one think, BUT we had them install a condensing gas…read moreboiler (high efficiency boiler) it all went very smoothly, on time and I knew that the cost while not low was in the ball park with a similar installation in our country place done by a "local" plumber. We were happy. Part 2, ConEd locked our gas meter (part of a gas pipeline replacement) while we were on a 4 week trip overseas, claiming that there was a leak when we asked them to turn the gas back on. To make a long story short, the crooks and morons from ConEd really screwed us. Nebrasky did a leak test walked us through the town permitting process - needless to say that there was no leak, yet we had no gas for 12 days after returning from our trip --- meaning no hot water ---. Their entire staff was very supportive and helpful and moved the process through the ConEd and local town bureaucracy efficiently and quickly. Yes, it was expensive but I knew that when an other company proposed a leak test for our central A/C. Overall happy with Nebrasky and very, very unhappy with ConEd

Had these guys come to service our HVAC system that had stopped working. Technician came took a…read morelook for a few minutes, couldn't figure out what the problem was and decided it wasn't worth fixing and should be replaced. We were charged about $400 for a service call and they left. I had a similar experience with several other "Name" companies here in Orange County. The guys just want to 'sell' new systems to people who have older units. this wouldn't be a problem if they were completely shot and non functioning. But these guys just didn't want to take the time to figure out the problem and fix it. Needless to say, I was able to find someone else from a smaller local service that pinpointed the problem ordered the parts and came back to install them for about 1% of the cost these guys wanted to charge me to replace my unit. It's still working a year later with no problems! Go figure! Never again!

Adaptive Insulation's price was right in the middle and felt entirely fair for the scope of work. Now, having seen what they went through to install cellulose insulation in our completely uninsulated (read: broiling) attic and cavernous, rocky crawlspace, it seems like we should have paid them more! What a job! Josh handled the project from start to finish and was clear, communicative, and easy to work with. His crew--Brock, Rourke, and Brandon--were the BEST. We appreciated it that the whole team introduced themselves at the beginning of our project--it felt so much better to have them in our home once we knew their names and faces. All three were so friendly, kind, hard-working, and respectful of our space, leaving it cleaner than they found it. Brock in particular was fabulous to work with. He encouraged questions, was happy to make changes based on feedback, and made sure at the end of the job that we were 100% satisfied, which we absolutely were. You will not regret hiring this incredible company--we recommend them wholeheartedly, and can't wait to enjoy a cooler home this summer and a warmer home next winter!

They also cleaned up when they finished the job. The cost was reasonable and included NYSERDA and ConEd rebates so their work reflects standards that are higher and more thorough than the other estimates I got. They went above and beyond, removing the contents of my attic and replacing it when the job was done. They have a great work ethic and are so pleasant. I highly recommend them.
