Adaptive Insulation's price was right in the middle and felt entirely fair for the scope of work. Now, having seen what they went through to install cellulose insulation in our completely uninsulated (read: broiling) attic and cavernous, rocky crawlspace, it seems like we should have paid them more! What a job! Josh handled the project from start to finish and was clear, communicative, and easy to work with. His crew--Brock, Rourke, and Brandon--were the BEST. We appreciated it that the whole team introduced themselves at the beginning of our project--it felt so much better to have them in our home once we knew their names and faces. All three were so friendly, kind, hard-working, and respectful of our space, leaving it cleaner than they found it. Brock in particular was fabulous to work with. He encouraged questions, was happy to make changes based on feedback, and made sure at the end of the job that we were 100% satisfied, which we absolutely were. You will not regret hiring this incredible company--we recommend them wholeheartedly, and can't wait to enjoy a cooler home this summer and a warmer home next winter!

We were under the gun because we were leaving for Florida in a few days and thought the job would have to await our return. He offered to make special arrangements to get the job done over the weekend before we left - sooner than his competitors could even present a proposal! His team, Joe, Anthony and Christian showed up, they each introduced themselves and made a point of communicating about everything they were doing. They were meticulously clean and performed the work with great detail and showed me pictures or all the areas where they sealed potential leaks before blowing in the cellulose insulation. After they left, there wasn't a speck of dust left behind. Later, Josh contacted me to confirm that I was satisfied with the work. These guys are the best!

He then escorted us from top to bottom explaining any concerns, told us his recommendations to curtail future issues with certain items and/or possible solutions to solve issues with actual concerns. We had our report within 10 minutes of the actual conclusion of the inspection and went over what we needed to keep, what the lawyers needed to see and what the mortgage company needed to see. The care and concern that Sherlock Home Inspections showed made me feel like a family member was doing the inspection and I felt he was genuinely concerned about me and the home I was looking to purchase. Being a single woman I know nothing about the mechanics of a house. Marc took alot of time going through each and every nook & cranny. He then took me outside & spoke to me before going thru the house again, this time with me in tow. He explained things that were going to need replacement at some point, took the time to explain to me how things like the boiler & hot water tank work (yes, I'm that clueless!) & noticed defects in areas I never would have thought to look (like between window panes!). Called Dr Sparks and explained what was happening. He had me send him photos of the unit and said he would come the following week. Since I never heard back, I called and was told he would be here the following morning. He never showed up. I called again and was told he had another job in New Jersey and he would try to get here today. After a few hours I called again. Still didn't know if he would get here but would call me if he could come. He never called me. It is obvious that he did not want to do the job even though he was the contractor who installed the fan originally. He is a local contractor but my advice is to stay clear of Dr Sparks. He does not stand behind his work

Dr. Sparks worked on my home when I installed my pool, they cut my wires to my phone line. The…read moretechnician from Verizon came and verified it was cut and had to spend the whole day to rewire. My husband called Dominick to explain what happened (things happened it was probably a mistake). Dominick was NASTY and denied it ever happened. I told him I have the full report from Verizon explaining it was cut. Dominick DID NOT want to hear it. Do not use these people, horrible experience.

County Comfort has poor communication within their Mahopac office. Unfortunate because I had family members that needed HVAC services and I was planning on referring them if it went well. We've already paid $7,000 deposit on a $18,000 job. Be wary if you use this service, if this is how they treat us, how will they treat you? I will change this review upon their completion of the job.

Literally the worst experience I've had with a service company. They installed my heat pumps…read moreimproperly causing a condenser to fail. I had to buy another condenser and it stopped working after 6 months. I have a maintenance contract with them and have had them inspected every spring and fall. I've been without heat since mid November, it is now February and they've sent out techs 5x to diagnose things and they can't figure it out. The worst part is their lack of communication, I've asked for a phone call from their service manager for a month and have not received a single callback. In short they are incompetent and rude to their customers, never calling back

Had these guys come to service our HVAC system that had stopped working. We were charged about $400 for a service call and they left. I had a similar experience with several other "Name" companies here in Orange County. The guys just want to 'sell' new systems to people who have older units. this wouldn't be a problem if they were completely shot and non functioning. But these guys just didn't want to take the time to figure out the problem and fix it. Needless to say, I was able to find someone else from a smaller local service that pinpointed the problem ordered the parts and came back to install them for about 1% of the cost these guys wanted to charge me to replace my unit. It's still working a year later with no problems! Go figure! Never again!

Unfortunately, this was a complete waste of time because they didn't return calls or email requests other than a vague email that they were unavailable to begin the work as promised. I was also asked for a deposit that supposedly would have been returned if I cancelled the job. Since Get Green, and not I, ended their commitment to the job, I asked for my deposit back, but it was never returned. Given the long delay and need to find another company, my pipes froze, costing me even more money! Luckily, a genuinely reliable company was able to step in and properly complete the job within a reasonable time frame.
