Updating my review since the last one was published years ago and this place has moved since. Let me start by saying that it was a good idea for the move because it gave this store an opportunity to expand its market and food operations. I like the fact that it has a lot more vegan options now and it has a deli counter where they serve baked goods and other prepared foods. They still have an extensive vitamin and supplement selection along with now having an expanded section for other home products like soaps and such. Also, they will have those sometimes hard to find products. I have always had good service and the manager has always been very friendly and helpful to get a product that they don't currently carry. The store is always well kept, clean, and is always well stocked. My only knock on it would be the prices. Some of the products can be a bit more expensive than other stores but if you are a member, have a weekly coupon, or catch the sales you can find some good deals (I always check the managers specials cart). read more

First time coming here, this store was much better than the location in Southland. Overall this place has an incredibly large parking lot. Great, well lit store with great variety of choices of healthy snacks and my favorite "Zevia" energy drinks. The store associate, Connor was really friendly and knowledge about the products the store has. I love this larger store and am very glad to be close by. I mostly shop for organic produce and groceries, but they have a ton of supplements also. I do kind of wish they had a larger produce section, but it might be hard to keep that much in stock and fresh, so I get it. I was still able to get most of what I needed. I also really like their meat and salmon - grass finished beef, organic air chilled chicken and (I think?) wild caught salmon. The cashier was very friendly and it was very quiet at opening time on a Saturday. Will be back frequently. read more

I ordered Better Health Market's pre-cooked Thanksgiving dinner this year and it was absolutely wonderful. The turkey was moist and tender, the stuffing was flavorful, and all the sides (green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy) and pumpkin pie were delicious. The price and convenience (just heating up in the oven for under a half hour) definitely could not be beat. I will order from them again next year. Renee D. read more

While the store carries a decent selection of vitamins, I was grossly taken a back after being spied on by a salesperson who stayed in the isle and pretended to read a book while watching me . Then I looked to the other end of the isle and noticed the other was watching me too. It's very sad to feel other folks assumptions of you based on color. I say this because I noticed two white patrons shopping freely without any spying eyes. What gets me is my income could easily swallow both workers and have plenty to spare. But due to the treatment, I refuse to spend one dime here. read more

Came here on the recommendation of a colleague, it is small but they had the quercetin and bromelain I needed. They have a ton of great options for supplements. There was one customer requiring staff help and another man leisurely browsing the aisles. It was not too busy for an after lunch crowd. I didn't need any help since my colleague knew right where to find the quercetain. The woman behind the counter ended up ringing us first since the other lady had some more questions. Very friendly staff: I walked in and the lady immediately asked me if she could help me find something. I told her what I wanted (a vitamin) and she walked me back to where it would be, had they had it. I love that kind of service. Even though they didn't have it, I could see that they have a nice selection of vitamins at fairly reasonable prices (to be fair, they were having a sale at the time.) The best part of the sale is that they had my FAVORITE chocolate for a really good price - the likes of which I rarely see ($2/bar.) I bought several of those... you know, for good measure. ;) The parking lot is small, but I had no problem getting a spot right near the door. I bet during busier times that it could get annoying. My first time at this health food shop. I'm somewhat new to this area and am loyal to Ferndale's Natural Food Patch. I didn't have high expectations because a few reviews complained of high prices, but (honestly?!) they were right on par with most health food shops. I will admit their selection is smaller than NFP and Royal Oak's Nutri Foods but they definitely have the best quality lines of the products I needed. They were also kind enough to let me know over the phone if they had an item in stock or not. So, two thumbs up for this local health food shop! I have been to this location multiple times. Now while I have found what I need, the staff has consistently been aloof and unpleasant. I have had experiences at stores where team members have been unpleasant but knowledgeable OR pleasant, but not knowledgable. This place is neither knowledgeable or pleasant. I do not enjoy going in there even when I know exactly what I need to purchase. That's a shame considering I would prefer to shop local as opposed to Amazon or other big box stores. read more

I'm a rookie when it comes to "Health" store - reading the labels can get a little confusing but likely I knew a little to get me in and out. I was lucky enough to run across a deal offered in the Living social which give you a $20 for the price of $10 and provided you with multiple locations. The store seems small from the outside when we you step inside the shelves and filled with different products from meds to food; i was actually surprised to find DOG FOOD stocked. (That's super awesome!) Please note - this isn't your normal grocery store so alot of the items are specialty which also mean higher in price - so know what you are coming to get. The store does have a clearance rack as well and clearance items throughout the store - so take a moment a look before you purchase; like myself i was able to get my items 40% off. (woo hoo!) I will return for future purchases and i hope to catch more sales. What i would like to see... Someone there VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about labels and products; maybe a nutritionist would be great for the company. They also offer discount cards - similar to a Kroger or CVS card but it doesn't apply for any of the clearance items. read more

I went in yesterday bought a bunch of vitamins and protein powders. Came home and realized I accidentally grabbed the women over forty+ instead of women over 40. They said no problem I could exchange and then changed their minds and said no. None of the vitamins were used. Super irritating because I was in there the day before. They are definitely not the cheapest vitamin store, zerbos is way cheaper and I definitely won't be back. Such a waste and such poor customer service. read more

Found this store on the Internet yesterday while searching for shea butter. Drove right over and spent a loooooong time staring at the huge variety of different skin creams, but couldn't find the shea butter. Neither of the two store clerks on duty ever came over to see if I needed any help, so I finally went to one of the registers and asked the clerk if they carry shea butter. Her reply? "If it ain't in the aisle with all of the skin cream, then we don't have any." Yep. Great customer service. Maybe that clerk needs to take some of the vitamins they sell there. read more
