If I could give this practice zero stars, I would…read more Just when I thought my opinion of Avance Care couldn't get any worse, today's experience proved me wrong. My daughter went in for a scheduled follow-up appointment today. She was taken back to an exam room and then...nothing. She sat there for well over 30 minutes waiting for the doctor. No explanation. No apology. No one checked on her. No one had the courtesy to let her know there was a delay. She finally got up and walked out because it was obvious no one valued her time. How does a medical practice think this is acceptable? Patients are expected to arrive early, complete paperwork, and respect the practice's schedule, yet the same respect is apparently not extended to them. Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. It is simply the latest example of the lack of professionalism our family has experienced over the years. My own experience included discovering serious inaccuracies in my medical record--issues significant enough that I filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. My husband has had frustrating experiences, my elderly mother has lost confidence in the practice, and now my daughter has been left sitting in an exam room wondering if anyone even remembered she was there. After years of giving this practice the benefit of the doubt, we've reached our limit. Four members of our family have now left this practice, and we will never return. From our experience, Avance Care has repeatedly failed in the areas that matter most: professionalism, communication, accountability, and respect for patients. We expected healthcare. Instead, we were met with repeated disappointment. If you're looking for a practice that values your time, communicates effectively, and treats patients with the respect they deserve, our family's experience suggests you should think carefully before choosing this one. I would NEVER choose this practice! TERRIBLE is an understatement! B E W A R E!!!!!!!!!!!

Check in for a follow up appointment and taken back into the room. Then, they forget about you in…read morethe room. Wasting 45 minutes of your time in total. When you walk out to ask what's going on, no one knows what doctor is supposed to be seeing you. Everyone looked confused, which is not necessarily their fault since they aren't my provider. But out of my peripheral, I noticed the provider sitting nonchalant, on the computer, exactly where she was 35 minutes ago when I walked in to get vitals taken. Did not speak up, did not apologize, just stared. That made me even more angry because we had communicated through my chart the past week, and they knew I was coming that day - we had discussed it. My first appointment left me feeling unheard as I was spoken over multiple times when trying to speak. I had already planned to find a new PCP, but I needed to get new antibiotics since the ones prescribed to me were making me sick. Unfortunately I was unable to speak about it since no one ever came into the room. So now I am without treatment until I can find another doctor that has availability this week, which is hard to do with the holiday on Friday. And, no apology by the way. Only the front desk staff apologized, even they look baffled as well. It's hard for me to speak up as I am usually someone who gives everyone the benefit of the doubt and rarely gets angry. But the past two times I have been to Avance Care have left me feeling uncomfortable and more stressed than I was going in. You should leave a doctor's office feeling at least a little better than when you went in, knowing they care about your health and are doing their best to help you. I felt like I was just someone for them to "deal with" and no one should ever feel like that in a place where you are so vulnerable. I don't understand what I did to deserve such treatment.

We just recently joined this concierge style medical practice. Our family physician, Dr. Silva,…read morerecently joined this partnership and we followed her here. You pay an annual fee depending on your family composition. The benefits are many, especially compared to HMOs and other medical practices. Appointments can be regularly made same day or on the next. And the scheduled duration of your appointment is 40 minutes v. the standard 15 minutes. Much more time to talk with your physician and get her relaxed, not rushed, attention. They have support staff in-house. There is a nutrition/dietician consultant. A small gym is available for your use supported by their in-house trainer/physical therapist. The physicians include a cardiologist that works well with the family practice practitioners. As this is a small, personalized practice, the physicians regularly update each other, especially when they see patients who are part of another partner physician. Personal, readily accessible, part of the Novant system, Hallmark is well-connected with truly top quality specialists. All insurance is accepted..at least all of ours is. Now in our 70s, we are very happy and reassured being part of this practice. We will receive great care as individual people, rather than just part of the daily flow of patients. Check it out yourself.

Upon arrival, the disorganized staff put her into a holding room and ignored her for an hour past her appointment time, until we simply gave up and left in frustration at the horrible patient care and attention. This practice is disorganized and, in terms of bedside manner, incompetent. We will go elsewhere for our medical care. Any so called "concierge practice " that behaves in this manner should be ashamed to call themselves healthcare providers. Update: While I appreciate the apology, trust, once lost, is very difficult to regain. What we saw was a level of disorganization and, more critically important to patients, an absolute lack of any concern or caring, both in the office and when I called the receptionist. I have had more caring responses at the Department of Motor Vehicles--a low bar indeed. I sincerely hope that what we experienced is an aberration, and wish you well in correcting the issues we experienced.

I opted to go to the Carolina Natural Health Center in Charlotte after reading through the reviews…read more"they allowed to be posted", speaking directly to the doctor and his team and being informed of how the plan would work. I was told they specialize in natural health and that they would be able to help with graves disease/hyperthyroidism, getting to the root cause and providing "total body healing" as a result of their program. As their website states " we're passionate about helping people with autoimmune diseases not only find relief from their symptoms but also naturally heal their bodies--so they no longer have to live with an autoimmune disease at all". They claim to be a Christian based facility in which that allowed me to trust them even more. At first it seemed they were very organized, setting up appointments with coaches, f/u with doctor and scheduling task to read/view and complete in the patient portal however, after a while I noticed they did not answer my questions promptly in the patient portal... I had to send them an email and call the office to get their attention as to where I was concerned about the huge box of supplements (over 20 different supplements) received via mail. The issue was that some of the ingredients in some of the supplements were specifically hazardous to take concerning the thyroid, it could potentially cause a flare up and end up in the hospital. They will literally send you supplements without going through and checking EACH one to confirm they will not effect your health individually (mind you Ive been in the medical field for over 20 years, so at least I knew better to CHECK MYSELF). Seems like no one will ever care as much about your health as YOUR OWN SELF. I also had an issue with the Kangen water they offer to those that live in the area (which is a nice gesture) however, it made my tongue do a weird tingling thing (like an electrical shock) NEVER had this before drinking this water after many days/a couple of weeks. I asked one of their doctors about it (not sure if these are even real doctors) and I was told that shouldn't cause an issue (brushed me off) only to google and fine out "A tingling tongue while drinking Kangen water (a type of alkaline water) may be a sign of an allergic reaction, mineral imbalance (such as a drop in calcium levels), or an effect of the water's highly alkaline properties. If the sensation is persistent or accompanied by other symptoms, you should stop drinking the water and consult a doctor immediately). Next, I was told there would be two weekly meetings to meet up on zoom with others in the program (which sounded great), Id love to learn and speak with others going through medical healing... but I never received the invite via email. This program was just not adding up to what I was informed and I just wanted to be done with it. I took $6900 out of my 401K to pay for this up front for a "four month program" ...that is $1725 a month!!! I am not rich but I will pay for my health. After I told them I no longer wanted to continue the program (started 12/1 and ended 12/30)... they offered to give me back only $1676.00 WHICH IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND AN ENTIRE SCAM!!! Please I warn you, everything in this program you can do on your own. They show you short repetitive videos and a few worksheets every week in a patient portal (very repetitive information) that you can research on your own and probably already know because I'm sure you have researched how to heal naturally beforehand. And ofcourse you get your lab testing in the beginning of the program and once you finish. But it is not worth it. I am so upset, as I am a single mom, I could have used that money for much other things needed. I did not expect them to give me back only $1676 out of $6900. This is not right however, I will leave it in God's hand to deal with them, Amen.

Lots of money & things got worse not better…read more Same program for everyone. Maybe they can handle simple cases but I can't recommend. The first batch of supplements doesn't even have enough servings for the first 30 days & no one tells you this. They put $1000 in your supplement bank it's used up by the first month. They respond by email but never the first day.

I brought a Groupon for this place because I have never been to a chiropractor. It was easy to get…read morein. I met Will. And I thought I was in class learning about the 10 systems in my body. And my nervous system being the most important. Which I wasn't ready for. I was just hoping for him to fix whatever it is that I have so I don't have these horrible migraines anymore. To my surprise, he only really snapped a couple part of my body back into places "I guess". Then he moved me into an open area room that a nurse hooked me up to an electro treatment. I feel the vibrating on my back and asked to be turned up higher but honestly not sure what it does. I walked away not feeling any better than when I walked in. The receptionist tried to set me up with an appt to come back soon. I did. "Full disclosure": I set it for Monday but thought it was Tuesday. And normally they would charge me $25 for cancellation.. But damn me I missed the 2nd appt because I was sick. Again they didn't charge me for the last min cancellation. So since I'm suppose to get 2 treatments, I just drop the last treatment since I can't seem to get my life together to even show up for an appt.

My fiance and I started the program about 11 days ago. So far I like what I see from the program…read moreas I am starting to learn what is healthy to eat and what is not, but honestly expected a little more coaching. Right now it seems like they give you what they give you and you need to figure it out. My fiance and I have both sent messages on the App which is the recommended way to get questions answered and they have now set unanswered going on the 3rd day now. On our initial appointment Dr. Will did not do our measurements, and on the second appointment where we were supposed to have our blood work reviewed he was just too busy even though the person that scheduled the appointment specifically asked if we had time to have our blood work reviewed. So it was basically a 45 min one way drive to get measurements done that should have been done during the initial appointment. When my fiance was in there for her appointment the doctor freely talked about her weight in front of another patient without her consent. Going to see how it goes, I am losing weight and learning how to eat more healthy, which is my goal, but for the price we paid I expected a little bit more professionalism and expected to get all that was promised, including answers to my questions along the way. I will check back with another review towards the end to see if it gets any better. Update from today 7/27: So it seems that Doctor Will was tied up this weekend with family and his daughter going off to college. Totally understandable as to why he did not reply to me. Maybe I jumped the gun a little on that one. Had a nice Zoom meeting where he reviewed the blood work results and made recommendations for supplements we should be taking (ie Zinc, B12, etc). Seems we are on track and down about 10 pounds in 11 days. Learning how to eat properly is not easy, learning new healthy sides to enjoy is not easy, taking an honest evaluation of your eating habits and overall health is not easy, but we are getting there, slowly. Looking forward to seeing what the future weeks bring. Will be starting the 9 laser lipo visits this Friday with 2 a week to follow thru the end of the program. Update from today 8/5 So I have now lost 20 pounds in just over 20 days. I feel great and have plenty of energy. Starting to learn that the Calories are not as important as where they are coming from. For instance I am supposed to have 600 calories a day, which btw scared the hell out of me in the beginning. But yesterday I had 850 calories, but of that it was 11g of Carbs, 50 grams of fat, and 90 grams of protein..... and I lost 1 pound, and don't feel as though I deprived myself of food. This program works, it may be a little frustrating in the beginning, but if you stick with it and are willing to put in the work and ask alot of questions then it is great. If you are looking for a magic button or are trying to find something where they tell you exactly what to do everyday, or if you are not looking to make a real lifestyle change with your eating, then this program is not for you.
