It may not be everyone since we are all unique but that's no reason to denigrate Dr Barber or Better Life. They try their best to help you get healthy and happy with your body.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The package was purchased for me in December, but…read moremy first appointment didn't take place until January. They gave me my first round of testosterone following my appointment. I finished the bottle in less than 21 days. I did not receive the new bottle until March. even though I was billed in Feb. I called multiple times asking about the shipment. They just apologized with no action. After many phone calls the shipment finally arrived, but they did not include the needles. I called Better Life to let them know. It took a week to get the needles. They also charged me an additional 15.00 shipping for 10 needles when the needles should have been sent with the testosterone. They also charged me 15.00 shipping for a tiny bottle of testosterone. 30.00 in shipping for a 40.00 bottle of testosterone. If anything, I should not have been charged for two shipping charges because they were at fault for forgetting to include the needles in the first shipment. At the time of my first visit she told me I was low in b12, dhea and needed DIM. I told her a had a full bottle of B complex, She said I have a sample of B and gave me a bottle when I left her office. I got a bill for 205.00 for the supplements that come from their lab. I immediately called Better Life and told the about the B12 she gave me. That I thought it was a sample because I told her I already had a bottle. They wouldn't let me return it. Now they are refusing to credit the correct amount back to my account after my request to cancel. Their excuse is that the package was purchased in December, so that is when my program started. My dad purchased the package for me as a Christmas gift. They did not tell him it starts the day of Purchase, they told him it started my first appointment. I did not have my first appointment until January. Stay away from this company. The only people getting a "Better Life" are the doctors and other employees because they are robbing patients with absurd shipping costs, sky high prices on common supplements and crooked accounting. Not to mention when they started me on testosterone, I called Better Life to let them know I am almost out, that I had 3 shots left. I finished the bottle, and it took an extra 3 weeks to get the second bottle. then another week to get the syringes. How good is that for your testosterone levels a month on and a month off. I was told they specialize in natural health and that they would be able to help with graves disease/hyperthyroidism, getting to the root cause and providing "total body healing" as a result of their program. As their website states " we're passionate about helping people with autoimmune diseases not only find relief from their symptoms but also naturally heal their bodies--so they no longer have to live with an autoimmune disease at all". They claim to be a Christian based facility in which that allowed me to trust them even more. At first it seemed they were very organized, setting up appointments with coaches, f/u with doctor and scheduling task to read/view and complete in the patient portal however, after a while I noticed they did not answer my questions promptly in the patient portal... I had to send them an email and call the office to get their attention as to where I was concerned about the huge box of supplements (over 20 different supplements) received via mail. The issue was that some of the ingredients in some of the supplements were specifically hazardous to take concerning the thyroid, it could potentially cause a flare up and end up in the hospital. They will literally send you supplements without going through and checking EACH one to confirm they will not effect your health individually (mind you Ive been in the medical field for over 20 years, so at least I knew better to CHECK MYSELF). Seems like no one will ever care as much about your health as YOUR OWN SELF. I also had an issue with the Kangen water they offer to those that live in the area (which is a nice gesture) however, it made my tongue do a weird tingling thing (like an electrical shock) NEVER had this before drinking this water after many days/a couple of weeks. I asked one of their doctors about it (not sure if these are even real doctors) and I was told that shouldn't cause an issue (brushed me off) only to google and fine out "A tingling tongue while drinking Kangen water (a type of alkaline water) may be a sign of an allergic reaction, mineral imbalance (such as a drop in calcium levels), or an effect of the water's highly alkaline properties. If the sensation is persistent or accompanied by other symptoms, you should stop drinking the water and consult a doctor immediately). Next, I was told there would be two weekly meetings to meet up on zoom with others in the program (which sounded great), Id love to learn and speak with others going through medical healing... but I never received the invite via email. This program was just not adding up to what I was informed and I just wanted to be done with it. I took $6900 out of my 401K to pay for this up front for a "four month program" ...that is $1725 a month!!! I am not rich but I will pay for my health. After I told them I no longer wanted to continue the program (started 12/1 and ended 12/30)... they offered to give me back only $1676.00 WHICH IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND AN ENTIRE SCAM!!! Please I warn you, everything in this program you can do on your own. They show you short repetitive videos and a few worksheets every week in a patient portal (very repetitive information) that you can research on your own and probably already know because I'm sure you have researched how to heal naturally beforehand. And ofcourse you get your lab testing in the beginning of the program and once you finish. But it is not worth it. I am so upset, as I am a single mom, I could have used that money for much other things needed. I did not expect them to give me back only $1676 out of $6900. I found out that Sonó Bello has been in business for over 10 years, with locations in many states and they just opened this in NC. The appt was scheduled for a week after I called. The location is easy to find in the second floor of the large office building, with available parking, off Carmel close to hwy 51. Their facility is brand new. The office is gorgeous, elegantly and tastefully decorated. Elizabeth, in the front office, is a beautiful young lady with a nice welcoming smile that made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in. I was hesitant to go; it's always scary showing your most vulnerable self to someone and put yourself in the position to be looked over in front of a full length (not forgiving) mirror and feel criticized, shamed and possibly told what you don't want to hear. We are our harshest critic and see ourselves as flawed. There is no such thing as perfect; but, we want to be as close as possible to what we think is the perfect you. We all have areas that we feel are not how we would like and even obsess about them, even if others don't concentrate on them as we think. The person that saw me, Jessica from California location, was wonderful! At first, it was weird to explain why I was there. She is so beautiful and seemingly perfect, that I felt even more self conscious about showing her my unhappy, flawed self. It's amazing, but she made me feel at ease when we started talking. I told her about the 100 lbs I lost and everything I wanted that laser lipo treatment I saw on TV, to fix. She was brutally honest, but in a nice, sincere way, when she told me there were some things that couldn't be fixed with lipo, that needed surgery. I suppose I already knew that, as I had heard that before; but, still hoped I could be like one of the patients I saw on TV the previous week or their front office video with great results. My biggest concern is my loose neck. She actually told me there was something that could be done about that. It's obvious it will never be stretched like if I had a face lift; but, there was a procedure that could help improve greatly the flaccid appearance. It's a series of 8 treatments and I should see results after the 4th one. Maintenance every 3 months after that. She calculated and did some number playing around showing great discounts and quoted me what I was able to get with an available credit line I had with CareCredit. I know they will do anything to get people to sign with them - that's all the places for cosmetic enhancements- but she could've tried to offer many other things aware they would be a waste of money and she didn't. She worked with me with some challenges that came up after I had signed up, so I went for it. I had my first treatment last Saturday. Kelly the technician, is a special lady. She made this process as clear as possible and was attentive to all my feedback and concerns. She has a special calming spriritual attitude that it was the most pleasant experience ever. We talked about so many things and I hope she can be the one to handle all my subsequent treatments. It was not painful, just some heat and light pressure. Honestly, I am praying this investment in me, will be worth it. I read some Venus Legacy reviews in www.realself.com and many reviewers said it was not worth it :(. That scares me. I am usually the kind of person that reads reviews and base many decisions on what I see.
