We had the unfortunate luck of one of our massive cedar elm trees die from rot due to improper tree maintenance by the previous owner. Not only that, but the massive tree was splitting right down the middle and half of the tree had a risk of falling on our house. We searched around reviews on several sites and called 5 tree service companies over a couple days. One never returned my call. Another wanted a crazy price just to provide an estimate. The other three came out quickly and provided professional guidance, each spending time with me to discuss our options and what they plan to do for us. Areli, the owner of Better Price Tree Service, was very professional and friendly, extremely helpful in talking through our options and what they would recommend we do, and was also able to commit to bringing a team out first thing the next morning to take care of our emergency. He took a bunch of pictures (prep for the city permit) and provided us a very fair price - several hundred dollars less than the other two (who were not overpriced at all) and they also would be able to grind the tree stump down and remove all debris. And sure enough, the next morning, his team arrived on time and ready to start work as soon as possible. Areli came out to oversee some of the work and chatted with me about his long history in the tree service industry and about his equipment and staff. And then an hour and a half later and our front yard looked as if the tree had never been there. Amazing work, super fast, very professional and courteous. My husband and I were so impressed with this company. They came to cut down a dead tree from our yard and remove low-lying branches from other trees that were barely scraping the roof. They worked hard and FAST. They were happy to move limbs off the driveway when I needed to move my car out of the garage. They were super polite and kept my husband updated on their progress. Between then and the day of the work, Areli let me know about a schedule change due to the recent rain. That was no problem. It rained again, and he worked me in so that he would not have to delay my job again. Areli and Maria were great to work with. They were responsive and quick to get out and give us a quote. Their quote was extremely reasonable for the work we had done (13 trees removed). They showed up on time and their crew worked very efficiently and they helped talk through some of the harder removals. We were only going to grind stumps in the front of the house, but upon completion they informed me they went ahead and did all the stumps because they just thought it looked better. This company is exactly what it says. Better Price Tree Service. But it does not stop there. They are professional and did a great job for us. The services included removing 3 trees, grinding stumps, raising the canopy on several trees, removing dead limbs and cleaning up the area. We had another company provide a quote and when we did not choose them they contacted us to match the price. My husband told them they should have quoted a reasonable price to begin with. I never write reviews but these guys did a fabulous job! I would recommend them without reservation. I had two downed trees from a bad storm both hanging in a very dangerous manner. Areli and his crew are great. They've completed 2 jobs for me. The first was a larger tree clearing job. I got a great price from him, and he was able to do the work just a few days after the initial quote. It was done exactly as we asked and looked great. There were some small trees and bushes in the middle of the lot that we wanted to save and replant elsewhere, and he took good care to leave them untouched and work around them. Since the first job, we had been trimming other trees and shrubs around our property and had amassed a giant collection of limbs, so the second time we hired him was to grind it all up for us and leave us with mulch. The recent February 2021 ice and snow storm to the Austin / Round Rock area was extensive. Called Better Price Tree Service and the end result was a GREAT job completed the way they said it would be. The price quoted was very competitive, the crew came on the day they said they would and worked non-stop taking great care to prune damaged tress and drop a very large Elm, carefully and accurately. I started getting bids back in September for tree trimming at my house...many oaks and some crepe myrtles. Areli came out and bid the job, but recommended that we wait to do the work until the crepe myrtles started dropping leaves. Fast forward to the end of November and Areli and his guys came out and did everything we discussed and even added a couple more items I requested. In fact, they were kind enough to do a small job for my neighbor while they were here. They honored the price quoted two months ago and everything (including the items we added) were very reasonably priced. Areli should rename his business Best Price Tree Service. I needed a tree removed and requested grinding the stump. I texted several tree service companies, sent them a picture of the tree, and received a call back very quickly from Areli, who quoted me a very reasonable price. Other competitor companies were either higher or did not include grinding the stump. When Areli arrived he did mention that the tree was higher than he could tell from the picture, but he would honor the quoted price. I had a few other trimmings that I needed done, so increased the amount to include them, and we were both happy. Not only did Areli and his crew get the tree down, grind the stump, trim the other trees, and remove all the debris (including raking up the area where the tree was), they did it all in about an hour. I can't say enough good things about these guys. We had a large tree that was half dead in our back yard that needed to be cut down and removed plus some large hedges that we didn't like. Areli (the owner) gave us a very reasonable quote on a Thursday afternoon and the work was scheduled for Monday. 4 guys showed up and started working right away. We also called Areli while the workers were here and asked what the cost would be to remove two more old ornamental pear trees down. Well, the price was so good we went ahead and had them remove those as well. All the work was done in about 3 hours. They removed the trees and had a machine to grind down all the stumps. I have a friend who was out of town. A large 50 year old ash tree broke in half and fell across his yard, across a drainage ditch and into his neighbors yard. I called 5 tree service companies for quotes to clean up the mess and take down the reast of the tree Areli came out and gave me a quote. His was about $1,000 lower than the highest estimate I received. Two others that were within a couple hundred dollars of of his quote told me about the equipment that they would have to rent. One other told me that it would take about 3 hours to grind the stump. Areli, in addition to his low quote, advised me that he owned all the equipment necessary to do the job. For me, this was a big plus since in my former life of going in and analyzing businesses it showed me that for as long as he has been in business he has been making good business decisions and that he wasn't going to do anything that could jeopardize his business. I called him and asked when he could start and he said that his crew could be there in about 3 hours. They arrived about noon. Based on my observations i really believed that with the late start, they would finish up the next day. They showed up with a chipper, a truck to receive the chips, another large truck pulling a trailer and a pickup pulling a trailer with the stump grinder on it. They started by cleaning up the fallen portion. They left nothing in the drainage ditch othe than some sawdust. AMAZING ! I was also amazed by the chipper and the size of logs it could handle. They then worked on taking down the rest of the tree. I was worried about that since some if the large branches were hanging over the house. I mentioned to a friend that it appeared that these guys studied physics and/or geometry because the way they arranged the ropes to lower the branches resulted in the limbs missing the house by more than a safe distance. They got the tree down and the guy running the grinder finished the job in around an hour. They cleaned up spectacularly and left at 4:00. They finished in 4 hours including a lunch break on a job that I thought would take 2 days. I would recommend Better Price Tree Service on any tree job based on the way Areli ran his business and the skill his crew showed in completing what I consider as monsterous job. I will recommend him to anyone that asks and I will use him on am upcoming job at my house. read more

Areli, the owner Better Price Tree Service met with me personally at our home and gave us a quote. He was extremely thorough and detailed with the explanation of the work that his crew would perform. After getting 5 quotes from other Tree Trimming services we decided to hire Better Price Tree Service, as their price was not only very competitive, but they seemed to be the most thorough. I called to hire them on Thursday and they were able to make it the following day. They were supposed to show up at 8:30 AM and they arrived at 8:15 AM. Areli himself also showed up to supervise the job. Areli's crew was extremely courteous, patient and conscientious of our needs and extremely thorough with their clean-up afterward.
