I felt like I was in a tunnel and could not understand conversations around me and had even more problems with the TV. I met with Dr. Hooper to discuss all my problems. He started with an exam to determine my hearing loss. I have never had such an extensive hearing exam before. He showed me the inside of my ear canal and went over all the tests results. This did not happen with my prior purchase. He spent over an hour with me explaining the lease agreement and if i was not completely happy that I could return the hearing aids within two weeks, receive all money that I put down, and no questions asked. Where can you get a deal like that. I felt I had nothing to loose and everything to gain. Well it's been a year and a half since I got the new hearing aids and I couldn't be happier. My world has opened up to me and I can go to restaurants again and participate in the conversation, have one on one conversations without asking the person to repeat that, and I enjoy TV with my family again at the normal level. Now it was time to replace them, so I went back to the same Hear USA office for replacement. They had no interest in selling me another pair of Widexhearing aids. They insisted that I should buy Signa aids instead. They were 40% cheaper than the Widex. I tried them for 40 days and had nothing but trouble with them. Bluetooth would not stay connected and only way to reconnect them was to remove the app from my phone and reinstall it. This caused all programmed information to be deleted.This would happen 2 or 3 times a day. So step count etc. was lost each time. I kept asking about Widex but the tech wouldn't hear me. I asked about their Horizon IX that they advertise as the newest and greatest hearing aid and they didn't want to talk about Them either. I returned the hearing aids on the 41st day of my 45 day trial and was told that my money would be refunded in 4 to 7 days. It has been 2 months and still no money. Plus they said that they were charging me $150.00 restock fee. I can understand a restock fee if I just returned them, but after 4 or 5 trips to the provider and they still couldn't make them work right, I don't feel that I should have to pay a restock fee on a pair of defective hearing aids. I have called several times asking about my refund and am told that the paperwork hasn't been properly summitted. WHOSE FAULT IT THAT! NOT MY FAULT! After at least 2 months of waiting we went there and they would not show proof of even ordering them. Then at least 2 more months (while my husband was in the hospital they left a message that they had them. I went to pick them up and told them since I had already paid for them I just wanted them and I would take them some place else. When we did that both sets did not have the microphone with them.
