I've had 5 dates and not one has been a match to my requests. It was just like throwing darts at a wall. The person who was my assigned contact would hardly return calls. She was never available to chat and it has been the absolute worst experience. I imagine my dates were also frustrated. I was told I would get feedback, they would work closely with me, and that just hasn't been the case. The matches have been way off. I'll get, "oh sorry, our mistake..." or "he must have lied to us." Do not waste your money. It's a scam. They don't not do what they promise. I don't expect my "soulmate", but I do expect at least a 25% match in qualities. But never got it. Also, the dating etiquette of most of the men was horrible...Sometimes worse than the apps. Most had no concern on settling up time/place until late the night before. Or they stalk you online going to your professional websites, etc. Ami who works at Atlanta matchmakers also had a good excuse for them like "oh I just need to help them see the right way to do things, etc". It's all BS. It's $5000+ and a complete waste of money. They promised, in writing before the next match they would call me to discuss. Guess what, no call, and no response to emails. They don't deliver anywhere close to their promises. It's so sad and disappointing. And so unnecessary.

I called up IJL this evening and was directed to someone at their Atlanta office. After giving my name and address they put me on hold. When the representative came back online she informed me that most people in my age range don't have enough money for membership and that there was therefore nobody in my age range (23) for them to match me with. I proceeded by asking her what age range they do provide matchmaking services for and she told me that there is no age range. I was slightly confused at this point and asked her then if it's just the time of year I'm calling and if at other times they would have people in my age range. She told that I could try calling back at Christmas. For what appears to be a successful business I'm left wondering why this associate wasn't more helpful. Her responses were very close ended and left me doing most of the leg work. This wouldn't be so bad but the following question I asked her was along the lines of "I'm not understanding exactly what you're saying, you're telling me there isn't an age range but you're also telling me I can't be a member, is there an age I could call back at or a certain time of year or...?" Before I could finish asking this question the associate then proceeded by hanging up on me. This left me extremely frustrated, mainly because I still haven't had my original questions answered. I'm not sure if its just because it was late in the evening when I called that I got a less enthusiastic, less knowledgeable sales rep but to me this speaks volumes about the company. It was then no surprise when I looked up reviews on the company and they were all 1 or 2 stars. This is not how you treat potential clients. This was extremely rude. I'll consider removing this review if and when I get a phone call or an apology from the associate who ended the call. Edit: In hindsight, I'll give this company a two star review instead of a one star review, for the benefit of a doubt that this wasn't discrimination but rather an accident.
