About six months ago, my friend came to visit and wanted a joint lesson, so we signed up together, and this time after you asked me to leave because I made a mistake at the time of the lesson I chose, I asked for my money back. I didn't even know that you would act in such a vindictive manner towards your past customers, so I signed up yesterday as well and to my surprise and disappointment was the disrespectful treatment I received from you. In my opinion, you are behaving in the most disrespectful way! You notified me while I was looking for parking before entering the class! And you charged me another $30 for a late fee!!!! The height of insolence! I'm still waiting for my money back! Regarding your scheduling and registration, it didn't work for me personally as a mother of 3, so I felt that the money I was paying wasn't worth it to me if I couldn't schedule classes! I tried both morning and evening, the availability was very low! It didn't work for me in any way, so it makes sense for me to stop subscribing to you. And yes, you will also regret that you are not doing your job properly, neither with fairness nor with respect!

All of the instructors have been very helpful and hands on with the exception of Shelby so I try to avoid her classes. Finding parking has never been an issue for me but I can see it getting packed during peak times. If you're new, try to go 5-10 minutes earlier to ask questions about the mega reformer as the classes fly by. It can be intimidating but just focus on form and don't forget to take grippy socks as they charge $20 for them.

They guide you through the exercises and keep it positive. The studio has lots of time slots available and the pricing is fair compared to other studios. Now to the CONS The studio is dirty. I've only gone twice and both times it's back to back classes so the studio doesn't get cleaned in between. Both times, I saw lots of hair on the floor, my mat, in the reformer and just lots of other crumbs and boogers, whatever else accumulated throughout the day. The class is designed like a circuit and you don't use the reformer the entire time, both times juts one exercise used the machine. It's very strange to be in a Pilates studio and not use the machines more. The equipment (weights, benches,etc) is worn out, cracked, dirty and just needs updating. Overall, I got a great workout regardless and was sweating my brains out so if this stuff is not an issue, you will enjoy the class as everyone else in there is happy to be there and clearly been coming for a while. But for me, I really wanted a reformer class that utilizes the machines for the majority, if not the entirety of the class.

We arrived at 6:00pm and drove right up into the dirt parking lot. Many other cars parked outside of the gate, along the curb on each side of Victory Blvd. The parking lot sign showed open from dawn to dusk, so we had at least an hour to explore before the 7:20pm sunset and potential tow. The weather was absolutely gorgeous for an evening hike!! Blue sky, cool breeze, rolling hills of green, and the sun setting made for the perfect golden hour!! After hiking down the Victory Trailhead and then up around the Ahmanson Ranch House Trail, we found the California Poppies! We also ran into a group of photographers so we didn't get a chance to explore as imagined before we arrived. However, we still enjoyed the sweeping views of an uninterrupted canyon. It was perfect! We saw many hiking with their dogs, a few benches, and various flowers. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes as the trails can be uneven and rocky. I would love to return but have a feeling the summer heat will arrive sooner than later. Then the green will dry out and turn into fuel. I hope that lawmakers and fire prevention experts find ways to reduce the impact of wildfires in the state of California. This area is truly a magnificent escape from the LA city hustle and bustle.

The trails open at 7:00 a.m. and the community pays for a security to make sure the area is safe. Parking: 5/5 You can street park and walk up or you can park inside and pay $3. Plenty and plenty of parking. Trails/Views: 5/5 You can take the many trails here and the views are beautiful you will see deer, bunnies and coyotes. There is a couple of little streams to cross. The trails are rolling so it can be flat, elevation and some downhills. You will love this place it looks like Ireland. This place will make you feel energized and relaxed at the same time. You can do any distance as strava has some of the maps for trails.

Ingrid, the manager, has made sure all the clocks work, and that the soap dispensers work in the outdoor showers. These are small things, but they make a difference to your experience there. Hours are 12 to 8 Tuesday through Friday, and 1-5 Saturday and Sunday. It's never been very crowded when I'm there. Come on out, and let's help them build attendance so they can stay open all year this year!

My younger son joined not knowing anyone and felt welcomed almost immediately. Both of my boys felt included from day one. The staff is incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive. You can truly feel that they work hard to create a safe, joyful environment for the kids, and as a parent that means everything. The activities are fantastic: well planned, age appropriate, engaging, and fun. The natural setting is also beautiful and feels especially important these days. My boys came home with confidence, stories, friendships, and summer memories they will cherish forever. And the camp spirit is real. We still sing the silly songs at home, especially the announcements song whenever we have a family announcement, and the birthday song too. I cannot recommend Cali Camp enough. I have gone to several Pilates studio and this IS my favorite. I really feel like I get the personal attention I need. I have been to other studios nearby and one of the reasons that they can offer a cheaper price is that they pack them in and are very BUSY and crowded. They run a lot of classes (36 per week compared to only 9 per week that BetterBody offers), so it is likely that a private session will be sharing space with a class that has 10 participants. BetterBody offers more personalized service with highly qualified instruction. I happily returned to BetterBody! BetterBody has been in the Calabasas community for over 15 years. All of Betterbody instructors have 5-15 years pilates experience. They are all in their 40's and 50's and have been in the fitness industry for a very long time. None of them are dancers, actors, artists, etc. who are waiting for our next "real" gig. They are all committed to their careers in Pilates. My instructor has been teaching yoga and Pilates since 2005 (that's along time.) She is also a certified personal trainer so we can change it up and do weights too. I highly recommend them and they are worth the money. Oh and I forgot that they have cardio equipment that I am able to use before or after my Pilates session. They even are nice enough to let me come in just do my cardio workout on my cardio days or when it's too hot to walk outside. Love them! read more

I LOVE THIS PILATES STUDIO! It's located super conveniently (up by the big Gelson's shopping center in the heart of Calabasas) and allows you to schedule your own sessions. I'm really busy so it's helpful to use their online system (betterbodypilates.com) to schedule and change my own appointments from home. Every trainer has a different style, but they are so friendly and accomodating, I was able to find a good fit by trying different trainers. I've completely changed my body and I really enjoy my workouts (where as I used to dread going to the gym). I feel like the results I got from Pilates, were unlike any other training or diet I'd ever tried, and therefore I've stuck with it and even come in for their cardio/pilates Xtreme60 class. This is particularly one of my favorites because it makes you do cardio and some pilates, and the hour goes by so fast alternating the two! read more

Only a few months ago I was getting sick alot and extremely stressed out due to many changes in my life. A friend told me about Pilates and referred me to BetterBody in Calabasas. I can't begin to tell you how it has changed my life. Pilates relieves stress in no way I have ever known. I feel great, I sleep better. My instructor at BETTERBODY PILATES is wonderful and very knowledgable. Pilates has helped an old motorcycle injury to my shoulder so I have complete flexibility, which I have not had in three years even with physical therapy.As a man I was skeptical about trying it, I thought it was for women. I've done every exercise out there like Bootcamp, Triathlons and other "manly" fitness craze including Crossfit but nothing like BetterBody's Xtreme60 class. You are constantly moving from cardio to Pilates every 5 minutes so you never get bored!!! And tt kicks my butt (along with my entire body). I never realized how much work my abs needed. Betterbody Pilates is a great Pilates studio, especially now that Mari - the owner is able to put all her attention towards the Calabasas studio. Now there is a large variety of classes and it now has such a great atmosphere. Since the slight remodel, there is a great wall that divides the extreme classes from the privates so it feels as though you are actually having one on one time, while there are other people there. I recommend this PIlates Studio to anyone is who looking to start Pilates for the first time or has had experience with Pilates. read more

This is an amazing studio with expert and professional teachers. The studio has the feel of a wonderful boutique that has clothes tailored just for you. But instead of clothes, it's exercise. There are fabulous one-on-one Pilates sessions as well as group classes in Pilates, Bellicon (A jump and aerobic workout) and Yoga Nidra. What you will find here that you won't find at other studios is teachers who really check in with where you are at physically, so you are much less prone to injuries. It's that specialized attitude that sets this Pilates studio apart in my opinion. The atmosphere is lovely, the teachers are amazing, and the owner sets the tone and overall attitude of the studio in an expert, yet upbeat way. She even just came out with a book called "Falling into Joy" which embodies her commitment to a positive attitude combined with real physical awareness. Best studio ever, hands down. I have made huge strides here in my strength and overall fitness level. I can't say enough good things about it... first rate in every way.

Victoria teaches the Prenatel class. She is such a sweetheart and i feel lucky to have met her. In My first class with her i felt welcomed. I previously took a prenatel class in Tarzana by wholefoods and it was cold, unwelcoming, and no one spoke to each other. The teacher didnt take a minute to get to know the new students. Needless to say, i never went back. After i had my baby, i continued going to go to mommy and me yoga. I went when my baby was 6 weeks old and it was a great place to go and get out of the house with baby and meet other mothers. The owner Connie is also such a sweet down to earth person, she takes time to get to know her clients. I highly recommend this place

All of the instructors have been very helpful and hands on with the exception of Shelby so I try to avoid her classes. Finding parking has never been an issue for me but I can see it getting packed during peak times. If you're new, try to go 5-10 minutes earlier to ask questions about the mega reformer as the classes fly by. It can be intimidating but just focus on form and don't forget to take grippy socks as they charge $20 for them.

They guide you through the exercises and keep it positive. The studio has lots of time slots available and the pricing is fair compared to other studios. Now to the CONS The studio is dirty. I've only gone twice and both times it's back to back classes so the studio doesn't get cleaned in between. Both times, I saw lots of hair on the floor, my mat, in the reformer and just lots of other crumbs and boogers, whatever else accumulated throughout the day. The class is designed like a circuit and you don't use the reformer the entire time, both times juts one exercise used the machine. It's very strange to be in a Pilates studio and not use the machines more. The equipment (weights, benches,etc) is worn out, cracked, dirty and just needs updating. Overall, I got a great workout regardless and was sweating my brains out so if this stuff is not an issue, you will enjoy the class as everyone else in there is happy to be there and clearly been coming for a while. But for me, I really wanted a reformer class that utilizes the machines for the majority, if not the entirety of the class.

I worked as a personal trainer at the LA Fitness Agoura Hills location for approximately three…read moremonths. Before immigrating to the United States in 2001, I worked as a Group Fitness Instructor in my home country. After moving to the United States, I devoted many years to raising my twin children. Although I remained passionate about fitness throughout those years. After learning that the Agoura Hills location was hiring, I interviewed with Danny, the head trainer, and was hired. From my first day, I worked diligently, welcomed feedback, and continually tried to improve my skills. I genuinely enjoyed working with clients and believed I was making meaningful progress. During my employment, I was assigned multiple clients. However, I was never informed whether these clients were new clients assigned to me permanently or temporary substitutions for other trainers. As a result, several clients trained with me only once before returning to their original trainers. Later, I learned that these one-time sessions negatively affected my "return client percentage," even though those clients may never have intended to continue training with me. At the same time, several clients chose to continue training with me and expressed great satisfaction with my services. Approximately one month after I started working, I noticed a significant change in my boss, the head trainer, Danny's behavior toward me. He became increasingly distant, stopped acknowledging me, avoided eye contact, ignored me at work, and failed to respond to the few work-related text messages I sent him. I discussed this situation with my husband, who encouraged me to remain professional, continue performing my job to the best of my ability, and not allow this behavior to affect my work. On my final Friday at work, Danny asked whether I knew my return client percentage. I told him I understood that it was low. He then informed me that because my return percentage was below 60%, I can not work there any longer. This was the first time I had been informed that my employment was in jeopardy. I had never received any warning, coaching, performance improvement plan, or opportunity to address the issue. I was shocked and deeply saddened by this sudden termination. The following Monday, I visited the gym with my husband to work out as a member. At the front desk, I was informed that I was not permitted to enter because former trainers are subject to a three-month "cooling-off" period after their employment ends. This was another policy that had never been explained to me previously. Shayan later confirmed that this was company policy. I talked to Shayan, the District manager, regarding my unfair termination. He asked me to talk to HR if I feel being treated unfair, and I did. I emailed Kelcie at HR a letter with all details! Several days after submitting my complaint, I received a phone call from Kelcie in Human Resources. Kelcie stated that Danny had reported that I had told him I did not want to work at LA Fitness anymore and that management considered this to be my resignation. I told her that I never resigned, never indicated that I wished to resign, and was happy working there. I also explained that if I had intended to resign, I would have submitted a written resignation. Despite my repeated denials, Kelcie stated that management had informed Human Resources that I resigned and that my resignation had been accepted! Kelcie then stated that if I wanted to work for LA Fitness again, I would have to submit a new application. She further informed me that I would not be permitted to apply to the Agoura Hills location where I had previously worked. I found this response extremely troubling because it appeared that my employment status had been changed from a termination to a resignation without my knowledge or consent. I will take my complaint about my unfair treatment to government agencies so in the future nobody will be treated and fired unfairly! One more thing I need to add is that on Thursday, the day before Danny informed me that he no longer wanted me there, I went to Maria and asked whether I could add work time if my client did not show up for training. Without making any eye contact and in a very aggressive manner, she replied, "Go clean the bathrooms, or clean the windows if you want work time." Looking back, I believe Maria was already aware that Danny intended to fire me. Her rude and aggressive response, along with directing me to clean the bathrooms, makes me believe she knew I I would soon be dismissed.

We communicated through Instagram and they made the process painless and easy. I gathered up 9 people to fill up the studio and Jamie was an excellent instructor! We had a mix of total newbies and more experienced people, and Jamie did a great job of providing instructions, modifications, and challenges so that everyone got what they needed from the class. The studio is very clean and well-organized, with perfectly set up stations by each Reformer. I'm a Type A and it was easiest for me to just collect everyone's money and purchase in one lump sum rather than have them all sign up separately, and Suzy worked with me to do so! I miss Einav so much! I lucked into this studio when I started Pilates. I haven't found another…read morelike it ever since. I just feel so elevated during (when I wasn't struggling) and after. It was such a good, balanced workout. Einav also has amazing intuition about how many more reps you have left in you. No two classes are the same and she has so many cool machines that can do cool things and she is very creative with then in the best way possible. You will never be bored. She is also very sweet and caring. I still go once in a while which is crazy because she's an hour away to and there are probably 100 pilates places between hers an my house.
