I hired them to clean a 900 sq ft home of disabled relatives, which is kept clean but I specifically asked for a top to bottom deep clean to cover what they can't do or don't see. I would NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN. things I was quoted on when first calling that weren't done: never touched the cupboards, just wiped down the 6ft of counter, did little if any wiping down of walls, windows were washed after they requested we take the screens off to save time, a neighbor came back, washed down the trim and sills and vacuumed the curtains before putting screens back on, ceiling fans weren't touched, mopboards weren't done, there are still BIG cobwebs in the corners by the table, they refused to do the walk in tub because of mold. It was actually bad soap scum and the neighbor cleaned it for them ( took 1/2 hr) shower rod was thick with dust and cobwebs, sink wasn't cleaned and I doubt if they did the toilet. I don't think they moved a thing, just dusted around it. When I said I would never hire them again, they said they would reduce the price. I used their services multiple times. Their cleaners often come tired, late, or rush through the cleaning. I've made comments to them if they can clean something further. The company's response was to stop providing cleaning services. I ask the cleaners to let me know when they're done so I can review and lock my place up and sometimes they just leave. I had one come and then determine that they needed more time so they just left the door open unlocked. Nobody said anything to me. She just disappeared. I complained and they said they won't clean for me anymore, this is after they ignored my calls and texts to schedule an appointment. They also pretended to have everything booked instead of having a conversation with me. When I finally got a manager on the phone they were quite rude about it. Never had any issues with a cleaning service before and never came across a cleaning service that responds so poorly to feedback. Their response is to ghost you and stop providing services. Not a great value. They cleaners also on little occasions showed late and on one occasion just didn't show up and nobody told me or reached out to me. I had to call and figure out what happened. Update: Their response to this is bogus because I requested to book more hours. They are very disorganized. The scope is certainly not beyond a normal cleaning service. It's a regular 1 bedroom apartment. They consistently had poor communication, and then ghosted me after I politely gave feedback. They are not open to feedback. The business owner refused to talk with me after one of their managers kept ignoring me and then was rude on the phone. This reaction from them was completely unwarranted. I recently had a cleaning for a house move in and overall it was meh. The surfaces, fridge, and cabinets were very well cleaned, but the carpets were not very well done. Not at the fault of the lady doing the carpet cleaning, but she didn't have a proper professional carpet cleaner. She literally had the same exact, down to the make and model, carpet cleaner that I have because of our dog and toddlers. Additionally, we noted that we wanted the window frames well cleaned because there was lots of dust on them, but when they left, it only looked like a light dusting happened without anyone spraying to really clean it up. Overall, the ladies who all came in were very nice and friendly, nothing went missing (although it was a move-in cleaning so nothing was really there), The kitchen and bathrooms were cleaned very well, but the carpet and windows, not so much. Working with Better Cleans has been my best experience yet with a cleaning service. - Communication. Better Cleans is fantastic with communication starting with my first impression and intake call. Working also via text to provide last minute updates and communications also makes working with BC more accessible, and lastly, their online portal outlines what is done, allows you to customize each visit (by adding additional itemized options like windows, inside fridge, etc) and then they ask for feedback after every visit to ensure satisfaction. -The cleaning. I have had excellent experiences with the BC teams that have cleaned my home. They are mindful of our work schedules and do not vacuum while we are on conference calls, for example, and let us know what they are focusing on for cleaning, when they are stepping out for lunch, etc. -PPE. I appreciate BC's attention to PPE during COVID. We have not let anyone else in our home but BCs and we trust their attention to safety and additional cleaning areas to mitigate risk. I feel their prices are competitive and I also appreciate the online portal because I can update the tips through that function as well. read more
